Charleston Painting Contractors were very professional and exceeded my expectations throughout the entire process. They came out and gave a free written quote with the exact services that were going to be provided. After getting quotes from 5 other vendors on Angie's List I ended up going with CPC. They weren't the absolute cheapest but they were on the low end and based on other reviews I went with them. They first came out to pressure wash. Even though they were only painting the exterior the guy who came out did a fantastic job pressure washing everything (entire exterior including gutters, porch and overhangs). He even pressure washed the inside of our screened in porch! The crew then came out the following week to begin painting. They were right on time first thing in the morning. There was one crew member that spoke English very well and I just communicated through her throughout the job. The entire job was completed in a day and a half. Amazing that they can roll and brush two coats on as quickly as they did. Overall they did an excellent job and I'm very pleased with the results. I would definitely recommend CPC to anyone else in the future.

All employees came on days promised; work was completed efficiently and as expected. The painters were very thorough in caulking and were happy to fix-up any missed areas that we noticed. There was usually one employee who spoke English which was helpful. The workers were polite and cleaned up very well at the conclusion of the project. Work completely with no delays. We were very satisfied and would use them again!

They did exactly what they said they were going to do and did when they said they were going to do it. Charged me exactly what they said they would. I would use them again.

We got a number of quotes to do the work in our home, and Charleston Painting Contractors came in well below the price estimates of other places (a lot of other places wouldn't even quote us because of the popcorn ceiling removal job). CPC told us they could complete the work on our home in 7 days (which they did), where other companies listed 3-4 weeks. They were able to start 2 weeks after we agreed on the quote. Overall, we were very happy with the work that they did on our home. They came in on-time and we did not have any budget surprises (we had a slight increase, but that was due to us adding on additional rooms and doors after our initial quote). We did have a misunderstanding in labor/work expectations with our written contract...so my advice with this company (and any other company) is to make sure that you go over all of the specifics in the contract with a manager so there aren't any assumptions. There are areas that don't look 100% perfect (some drops on the walls, a few areas that weren't smoothed out as much as I would have liked, ceiling paint lines that aren't exact), and it would have been nice, as contractors, if they asked us about a few add-ins once they were started (example: a room that was painted all in whites and yellows now has a beige colored door because we didn't think to tell them to include it. Our fault for not seeing this as we did the walk through, but would have been good to have it pointed out). Our site-lead Jorge was very friendly, spoke good English, and gave us updates as often as we wanted them. I would recommend using them as a company, and plan to call back when we are ready to start on our outdoor painting projects.

We were very happy with them. They were excellent, fast, courteous and they cleaned up after themselves. The guy came and gave us an estimate and the actual service delivered was well than the estimate. They came and did all the stuff they said they will do and they were gone. They were really good and we recommended them to my son in law and they had the same experience.

Our experience was positive. Their prep work was thorough and they did a good job cleaning up. Would use this provider again.

The workers were incredibly polite and on time and neat. They cleaned up after themselves everyday after work. Attentive to detail, willing to address extras. It was absolutely one of the best experience I've had with a contractor I would highly recommend them.

Everything went well, the crew had one gal that spoke english and all had to go through her. I have never seen a crew do so many things with a circular saw as these guys did from window sills to installing and plumbing a door. Just last week had to get someone out to redo some areas where the paint was bubbling and places where paint was seperating and caulking was showing. They bought new can of paint and had a man out repainting while I was on short vacation. So far, so good.

My only constructive criticism would be that I had gone into significant detail with the estimator about what I wanted, but then had to repeat the same instructions to the work crew. It just seems that there should be a better way for the company to "pre-brief" the work crew so that the work crew knows what the job is before they arrive on-site.

They completed the work in about four hours. It was easy to schedule an appointment and they came when they said they were going to. The job turned out very well.

The first day did not go smoothly. There were items, sanding for example , that were stipulated in the contract that weren't being done. When it was brought to their attention, the painters got quite upset. After Ryan had spoken to both sides, it was discovered why the painters were so upset. The contract called for sanding any areas requiring, for example, repair due to wood rot. The paint crew thought they were being told that they had to sand the entire project. Over-all, tension was high the first day. In an attempt to relieve stress and dispel any misconceptions of not wanting to work with anyone who can't speak English, fresh donuts were purchased for the crew. .The tone of the entire day changed. The work was done quickly and efficiently. My husband has very high expectations when it comes to work being done on his/his mother's home. He watched and checked all their work. There is only one area that he is not 100% satisfied with. That is the awning over the kitchen window. Looking at it straight-on the paint looks ok; however, looking from the side you see where the grooves between the slates are not painted. My husband is going to use a artist's paint brush to fix it.

From beginning to the end, a totally professional organization. The customer experience was perfect. The office staff was friendly and the owner was professional and thoughtful during the quote. The staff did a great job with first pressure washing the deck to remove years of dirt and dust and they also cleaned the surrounding area. The painting was quick and was very professional. Highly recommend CPC. WE loved the service so much we will have other projects for them soon.

They gave me a 3 year warrantee. House looks brand new! I received a 15% DISCOUNT. original price was $6,102 & with the discount - only %5,187. They painted the entire house, base, trim, porch & stairs. Definately would recommend them to everyone.

Always got an answer on phone when called, friendly person. Arrived for estimate within two days of requesting, worked around my schedule. Reasonable two week lead time for planned work. Crew of four arrived on-time and worked very hard, completed within two long days. They were very willing to work late to finish in these two days, which I appreciated otherwise would have needed to take another day off from work. Properly protected floors and furniture. Good quality work. Cleaned up when done, including vacuuming. Very pleased with no-hassle process and good quality from a hard-working crew.

This has been one of the nicest experiences I've had with a contractor. From estimate, to price, to crew professionalism, to quality of work, and attitude of crew...it's been great. The time and attention to prepping the house was exemplary. First the pressure washing was done (it was so good it almost looked like the house was painted already!), there was a lot of trim and many places of siding to be replaced and the crew didn't miss a spot. It all blended seamlessly. The pergola is complicated with lots of odd angles and they took extra care to get them all. My house is lovely now. The crew also made sure to leave my yard and garden clean. I appreciate that.

Based on positive Angie's List reviews, requested a quote for exterior painting of a 3 storey home with cedar shingle siding and plenty of trim. Work began two weeks after accepting quote and was completed in one and a half weeks. It was brought to our attention that a number of decorative trim pieces had rotted. We elected to have these pieces replaced. Charleston Painting arranged to have the pieces milled (a dozen or so) to match and replaced them. The edges were caulked and the pieces painted to match. Paint job looks great, very neat and tidy. Painting cedar shingles is difficult work (compared to clapboard siding) and these received 2 coats. Trim was neatly painted, edges sharp. Paint selected was Sherwin Williams Super Paint (25 yr warranty) for the trim and SW Woodscapes (8 yr warranty) for the shingles. Charleston Painting provided a 3 year warranty against peeling, cracking or blistering. Work crew was great, and cleaned up afterwards. We would highly recommend Charleston Painting. They were very responsive, competitively priced, and the work performed exceeded our expectations.

We called to arrange an estimate. CPC representative came at the appointed time, described exactly what they would do and what would be included in the quote. After receiving the written quote we scheduled the work to be done. They arrived on schedule and completed the work in the time period they estimated. The painting crew were the same every day they were at our house -- they were very customer service oriented and were extremely professional and easy to work with. We were completely satified with the quality of work performed by CPC and highly recommend CPC.
