Their quality of work was good. There is a little difficulty contacting them, but once they start the job, they do it right.

Every step of the way they went above and beyond what I was expecting. The pressure washing was excellent, and they cleaned the whole front of the house instead of just the porch. The crew went over every square inch of the surface that was to be painted and scraped and sanded any areas that needed it (sure, you expect them to go through the motions with sanding but this crew pleasantly surprised me with the amount of detail). Overall it was an excellent experience and I would highly recommend them!

Work was completed in one day. Quality of the painting was very good, and the crew was efficient and professional. They worked around our schedule which was appreciated. I can recommend them and would use them again.

We had the entire interior of our house painted from the ceilings to the floor. They did a nice job, however we were very disappointed in several details that had been overlooked. However, their responsiveness and professionalism in correcting the problems was unmatched! I believe the painting crew had little supervision during the week it took to complete the job. But the two owners came out personally on a weekend to ensure that everything was done perfectly and that we were satisfied. No job is ever perfect. But knowing that you hire someone who will not disappear once the check is signed means a whole lot! I would use CPC again.

They were good. The original charge was $1900 and they took 15% off so it was $1615. I haven’t done this kind of work in eight years so considering the people that did the work before I would think Charleston Painting Contractors were excellent. They are coming back on February 7th to address an issue with the windows. The people were wonderful and nice. Everyone did a very good job.

They did a great job. They did exactly what they said they would do, when they said they would do it.

I scheduled the repainting of our front porch and steps with Chad a couple of weeks before Christmas. It had been 5 years since it was last, and very marginally, painted by an independent knucklehead who is no longer in town. All of the surfaces needed significant prep work including nail pops and sanding. In addition to the paiinting I wanted to re-stain the decking of the steps and porch. My neighbor had had CPC do his house, which came out beautifully, and he readily recommended them. I was not disappointed. Of course it rained on the scheduled day and again on the re-scheduled day, but David, the crew chief called me in advance and kept me apprised of the delays and re-scheduled times. He was on top of things and they made it out on the 3rd try. The prep work was excellent and the finished job was top-notch. It was, by far, the best paint job we have had. The price charged was very reasonable and a bargain in light of the quality of the job. I have not had any interior painting done by CPC but I would certainly give them an opportunity based on the great job they did on the exterior.

They were amazing. We wanted the work done before Christmas. They were willing to work with me and were flexible with my schedule. Their estimate was great. He is really good and accurate. When the painters completed the job it was down to the can. I was amazed with how precise he was. The job preparation was also good. They did a good job of prepping the house. They removed the caulking, scraped things, and did whatever was necessary. They did a phenomenal job. Everyone was great. It was kicked off well and supervised well. The guys worked no stop. They there here promptly at eight in the morning and worked until dark. They made sure to clean up well and put all the tools away. Almost every day the supervisor would pull me aside to discuss the work. He would ask if there was any extra work needed or if there was something done wrong. They did a final walk through. They handed me all the papers including a telephone number for service. Their work was guaranteed for 7 years. They used top of the line paint which was the paint I originally used. They had great follow up service. If I ever need to call for touch ups, they will come right out. They come out every Wednesday to do any touch up work needed. It was a great value given the level of professionalism I got. I was amazed. They are really good and qualified painters. They really know what they are doing. I have recommended them to several neighbors of mine.

They were good. We had no problems at all. We will use them again.

They were fantastic. It looks better now than it did when it was new. There was one little area that I had to call them back to address. They came with no problems. I was very pleased. I will definitely use them again.

Four to five painters worked about 12 hours for three and a half days to finish painting four bedrooms, two bathrooms, upstairs hall, and a two story hall and greatroom. The painting included the walls,ceiling, and all trim. They arrived punctually each day and cleaned up after they finished. They moved furniture and covered everything with plastic and tape. They also came back to do some touch ups. I was given a signed document guarenteeing their work for three years. I plan to use them again for some additional paintig.

I received a very thorough estimate with a complete set of references. When I asked if I could request a certain brand of paint, there were no issues. The exterior painting of my house took place according to the schedule we agreed upon, and I'm very pleased with the results. The crew was professional, timely, and very neat. This company also provides a 3 year warranty on their services.

I had planned to stain the porch floors myself, but the painters did the work for me, using products that I had purchased earlier, at no additional cost. We would highly recommend Charleston Painting Contractors. We had several other estimates but felt that the three-year warranty offered along with the good reviews we read, made them the best choice. We had received both higher and lower estimates from other companies but none with the warranty to match CPC.

I liked everything about them. They were prompt, they did what they said they were going to do, and they were excellent. We recommended they paint our daughter’s house.

They did an excellent job on the pressure washing - very thorough. When they came back to do the painting they were organized, worked hard, and did a great job. There were no delays or excuses, the job was done well and completed that day. They worked from 9am until they finished - around 6pm. They not only painted the exterior (not a whole lot to paint since our house has vinyl siding) they re-screened our back porch replacing wood with removable vinyl (at my request). They did a great job on the porch; the screen is tight all the way around. I would recommend this contractor to anyone and I would use them again.I don't have any dos and don'ts - everything went very smoothly and I don't think I would do anything differently if I had it to do over.

Ryan and his team did a great job. They quoted us a fair price and in addition to painting, his team completely power washed, scrapped and sanded where necessary, they even caulked all the joints to prevent water from seeping into the columns. The team was on time, very professional and did a terrific job. In addition, the work they did is guaranteed for 3 years. We are already hearing compliments from other homeowners who wish to also have their trim/decking painted. I would definately use Ryan again

Excellent! Ryan was very responsive to my request for an estimate. He spent about an hour at my home conducting a thorough analysis and cost estimate. A few days later I contacted him to schedule the work. While they were not able to start on the day we originally started, Ryan personally called me to tell me what was going on and to work on another date. On the day, the painters arrived on time and got to work immediately. The crew chief was very knowledgeable and even made some recommendations which I'm glad I took. After the initial coat of painting, I was not happy with my color choice. I contacted Ryan and he graciously allowed me to pick a new color for the second coat the next day. The next color turned our beautifully!!! I could not be more pleased. Ryan and his team are First Rate and I'd highly recommend them!!!

They pressure washed the entire house and it was accomplished in one day about four hours, good job, and prepared the outside of the house for painting. In my opinion one needs to let the house dry out at least several days or a week after pressure washing before you apply paint. The contractor was backed up some due to rain so we delayed the start about a week which was fine. He communicated the delay and we worked it out, in fact it was really better for me as we had some guests staying in the house and this allowed both not to be in the way. The prep work started as scheduled, we had discussed some possible wood rot that needed to be checked out and then we would discuss the cost outside of the quote as we both did not know what might be found. He did find some as expected and he quoted the repair which I thought was reasonable and could be done right away not holding up the project. We moved forward and completed the job the next day. I was really pleased with the way it looked and the job they did. We had discussed not getting any paint on the roof or the blue stone patio as I had none on it. They covered all areas and I could find no drips or paint anywhere and did just what we agreed to. They cleaned out the gutters before starting to paint and painted the bottom of the gutters as well. We had some storms the night before that brought a lot of small limbs and leaves down on the patio, they cleaned that up and took all trash away and left it just as they found it. I found them very professional, with a written quote, understanding of what was to be done, gave an Angie's discount and three year guarantee. Best of all, no money up front with all due at time of completion. Paid them our agreed upon price and they were on there way to the next customer leaving behind a very happy customer.I plan to use them next year to pressure wash the house and each year after as I feel this helps the paint job last several years more by taking off the acid rain damage. The paint I used, SW Duration Exterior Latex is expensive but it is really a good high end paint for wood in downtown Charleston.

I was in a pinch. I had too much to do, with company coming in for my daughter's graduation and party. I had always done my own interior painting, but the high ceilings and stairwell were best left to professionals. I also had a red kitchen to paint, and that is a difficult color to cover. I called to inquire if the job was a possibility, given the short notice. Charleston Painting and Contractors, which I found on Angie's List, definitely rose to the occasion. They came over to give an estimate (which included my "wish list" ...prepping the master bedroom, and possibly painting it). They juggled to accommodate my requests, and completed the job ahead of schedule despite rain delays. They were on time (early, in fact), courteous and professional. I was able to continue with the other things I needed to do while they painted. They asked the right questions, took samples for paint color from existing walls, and we're careful with my breakables. They took short breaks, never seemed to be "underfoot", and worked until the job was done. I was impressed with their company work ethic, and also impressed with the skill and efficiency of the painters. I would recommend them to anyone who wants the job done with few hassles, high quality, and professionalism.

He communicated with us very well, in detail about what needed to be done and how they would handle the job. He provided a detailed written quote before leaving. A couple of days later we accepted the quote and they scheduled the work promptly. They would have met the scheduled work dates had the weather not caused them to delay two days. That was fine with us. Their painter was very good about contacting us to inform us of the timing issues and he was extremely professional. He also contacted us about a couple of concerns that he encountered and he helped us to understand our options and to reach the decisions necessary to proceed. We highly recommend Charleston Painting Contractors and would use them again in a heartbeat.
