The technician diagnosed the problem as being a frozen water line. As he was thawing it, he noticed a cut in the line. He replaced the line and everything is working well!
Description of Work: My water in my refrigerator was not working.

The gentleman who came was very pleasant and gave us some good tips on getting better results with the dishwasher. His diagnosis was that the line between the dishwasher and garbage disposal was clogged. He removed the clog and the dishwasher did have water. Later in the day when we used the dishwasher, it leaked all over the kitchen floor, ruining an area rug and essentially making the kitchen unusable. This was on Monday afternoon/evening. I called the company first thing on Tuesday and asked to send someone to fix it. They said it would be Wednesday before they could have someone come out to take a look at it. I explained that we had water on our kitchen floor and the attempted repair was the reason for this. I would have expected them to send someone right away to fix a problem they created.
Description of Work: Our dishwasher would not hold water.

I contacted Bestway appliances to handle the warranty repairs to my dishwasher. First let me say that the young woman whom I spoke with was very nice but was put in an uncomfortable situation. Long story short, Bestway was scheduled to do the repairs today but called me to let me know that the money the warranty company (Electrolux) was willing to pay them to do the repair was not enough so I was told to call another local repair company. Bestway is listed as an approved Electrolux repair company yet I guess they pick and choose as to IF they will do the repair. That is not how it works! Either you are a approved vendor and accept their rates or you don't. A complete waste of time and now I have to start over with another repair company. I do understand that companies need to make enough money for it to be worth their time but when it is warranty work, it is out of the consumer's hands and they need to take it up with the company, not the customer.

We responded to this customers service request. We found a faulty part causing a water leak, a minor repair.. The customer had previously had the the motor replaced in his dishwasher and thought it needed to be replaced again. We didn't think so. After to talking with a regional manager at Electrolux it was decided it would be better for all concerned to refer this customer to another local service company. We have to be as fair to the contracting companies as we do to a customer that is paying a bill themselves. Putting in a part that we felt this customer didn't need, (even though he wasn't paying the bill) is still wrong. Transfering this call was the only right way to a no win situation. I'm sorry the customer is upset with us over it but I feel we did the right thing in this instance.

Stay away. While the guy probably had enough skill to get to the bottom of the problem, his dipatcher-wife refused to send him out the next morning on an emergency basis..................She got angry because I demanded his return and refused to answer the phone.What kind of business does this?
Description of Work: This is apparently a husband and wife team. Wifey takes the calls and dispatches; the repairman is her husband. We called them to come do some warranty repair on a brand new fridge that was not making ice. It took them over 3 weeks to get the part from the manf. Then, they show up the day befpre we rent the house. Husband is a nice enough chap, but he ended up making thinks worse by disabling the refrigerator and then refusing to come out the next day....leaving us with a fridge full of spoiled food for the renters to enjoy!

We responded to a warranty service call at this customers rental beach house at Folly Beach South Carolina.The house was in it's finishing stages. The customer had purchased an Electrolux refrigerator. Part distributors were not allowed to carry parts to repair these units and all parts had to come from the manufacturer. Therefore, the part delay was out of our control. We repaired his faulty Ice dispenser and thoroughly tested it. The next day his wife called our office with a different problem. We are a small company and both road technicians were booked solid in another area. We explained this to the customer and told her we couldn't get anybody there till the next day. The customer wanted and expected service Now. We would have to cancel 4 customers to reroute the tech to take care of this one customer. Our call taker was told if we didn't have some one at her house that morning she would give us a bad rating on Angie's list. We have been serving the Greater Charleston Area since 1968 and have many customers that have been with us for 20 plus years. This customer never paid a penny out of their pocket nor were they asked too. I really don't understand how this customer expected us to cancel four other customers to take care of them. A lot doesn't read right about this complaint. The Mrs. was to one that called and couldn't be reasoned with. The Mr. posted the complaint and made statements that are untrue. Our call taker of 20 years doesn't get angry at customers. If the call taker didn't do her job and answer the phone, how was the customer told we couldn't get there till the next day?
