Haven't had to have anything but annual cleaning/maintenance in several years. Each Spring and Fall they clean and service my system for an annual fee. They always come when they say they will and are polite and professional.

Most recently Creamer serviced my HVAC last week, but they have been seeing to my heating and cooling needs for the past four years. My current house is all electric, but where I lived before had gas heat; they are experienced in both types of systems. There have been plenty of opportunities for Creamer personnel to take advantage of my ignorance but they never have. I even called up last year and ordered a whole new system. Robin laughed and said "Before we start spending your money, let me send somebody out to check; it might be something simple." It was, and instead of buying a new unit for three or four thousand dollars, I paid for a routine service call--$55! The guys are also very good about explaining what I need to do to optimize the functioning of the system in both cold and hot seasons. Being exceptionally thrifty and conscientious about the environment, I really appreciate this. I just can't recommend Creamer Heating and Air highly enough. And that's based on years of experience. Just one caution: They do not take credit cards, nor do they bill. They require payment in full by check or cash at the time service is rendered--even including installation of a new system--so be prepared. (In fact, this relates to the only negative experience in my years of dealing with them. When the gas-heat HVAC died without warning at my old house in Jackson, that was my first time to call Creamer. I was unprepared for a sudden cash outlay of $3000, so I asked for a payment plan. Robin said not to worry, he would work with me--which I took to mean "yes" on a payment plan. This was on Friday afternoon and they installed the new unit Monday morning. As soon as it was in, Robin asked for payment in full. I reminded him that he had said he would work with me, and he said that he had done so by not requiring payment before installing. While that isn't my idea of "working with" someone, I hadn't asked for specifics as to what he meant, so I had to own some responsibility for the situation. He did agree to hold the check for a couple of days so I could make sure it would clear. At that point I figured I would let them service the unit through the warranty period, then find another company going forward. Well, it's four years later, I'm still using them at my new house in Aiken and have no plan to change.)
