BHR Construction

This contractor is a disgrace to the building industry. Their work is shoddy and substandard, and they have proven themselves to be completely unreliable. They recently completed a job, claiming it was finished, but the results were far from satisfactory. They have taken advantage of unsuspecting customers and should be avoided at all costs. This contractor's lack of skill and integrity has led to numerous complaints and bad reviews, making it clear that they do not represent a reputable company. Do not trust them with any of your construction needs.

I had been looking for a reliable handyman a long time and reached out to many places. Nathan at BHR Construction was the most responsive and called me back right away. He referred the work to Mike and Jeff who did outstanding work. I needed a new porch swing hung where the old one had rotted out and fallen. Mike not only installed the new one properly but made several improvements to the ceiling area to ensure the swing was stable and would hold tight. Mike and Jeff did all the work expertly and efficiently and went the extra mile to show me how to operate an electronic gate which required new batteries, which they also installed. They also fixed a broken area in the fence and assembled additional porch and patio furniture. I was very pleased with their work and highly recommend them and BHR.

The job went very well. BHR's team worked every day and showed up when they stated they would be there. We never had any problems with the workers. They were always polite and worked tirelessly. I would highly recommended BHR for any remodeling job large or small. I have used them in my personal home many times and will use BHR again. BHR's prices are very reasonable. I couldn't ask for a better company to do my remodeling.

BHR is an excellent company. They show up on time and do an outstanding job every time. We have used them several times over the past 4 years and their work is always consistent and done according to my expectations. The owner stands behind his work. He comes in and works right along side his guys. His workers are polite and work hard. They come early and stay late. I would recommend them to others who need home repairs or renovations. I have never had any problems with their work. I will definitely use them again and I am already making plans for BHR to do some more remodeling for me in the near future.

Nathan did not give us the lowest estimate, but he gave us the most detailed, noting things that we really should do BEFORE he got started. How many times do contractors come in low only to add on once they start the job! You will not have to worry about this with Nathan! His customer service and project management is top rate! This guy knows how to run a business and leave very satisfied customers. And, guess what he is super honest... he actually reduced our bill when materials came in below cost His vision for design is great too...he made suggestions that really improved the look of the deck...things we never thought about. All in all, we love and enjoy the deck, love the quality, and Nathan is the only contractor we will use in the future!

Nathan and his crew had built a sleeping porch and daybed swing for our neighbors and came highly recommend both by them and Angie's list. We found ourselves with a growing and changing list of carpentry and handyman needs in preparation for putting our house on the market for sale. We contacted Nathan with a few needs initially. I called him on a Saturday and he arrived promptly on Monday to give a quote for deck repair/reinforcement and a couple of smaller jobs. We were undecided on whether to replace the upper part of the deck. A home inspection suggested we didn't have to. By the time we decided to have the work done, the ice storm hit and everyone was delayed for obvious reasons. Nathan was excellent about being in touch and letting me know when I could expect him. In the meantime our list of jobs changed often and Nathan took that in stride. Ultimately Nathan and Mike started the Monday after the storm and had a list of about 20 items including rebuilding the deck railings. They arrived at 8 am and got straight to work. They worked diligently Monday and Tuesday always promptly starting and 8 and finishing about 4:30. They were polite and pleasant. Nathan even hauled away some items not related to their work when I asked. Wednesday morning they showed up with a much larger crew and I was concerned that would mean a greater expense. (The jobs I asked of them had changed so many times, I was no longer sure what the my tab would be.) Steven worked inside for 2 days replacing hinges on all our doors, changing weatherstripping and thresholds, installing a ceiling fan, changing knobs and hinges on a vanity, replacing a front porch light, extending a gutter, installing a window box, and tightening some faucets. Jamie and Chris took over and finished the deck, then Jamie used treated wood to reinforce some areas in our crawl space that had been damaged by water and termites. While in the crawl Nathan noted an additional leak and took my husband to the area to show it to him. Plumbing is one of the only areas they do not handle a lot, so they recommended another provider to check that out. Many people would not have even mentioned it if they couldn't fix it. In the end, the tally was just $600 more than the original estimate. We were pleasantly surprised given that I had added about 15 jobs to their list and it had taken 4 days instead of the originally estimated 2-3 days (for the first short list). We met and observed a total of 5 guys from BHR and every one of them was pleasant, polite, kind to my children, and hardworking. It was an exceptional experience in every way. We are likely ruined for all other contractors as I doubt BHR will come to our new home in Tennessee for future projects and other crews will surely pale in comparison! UPDATE: Much of the work Nathan and his guys did for us was in preparation for us to put our house on the market. Our house sold in 5 days, and, three months later, we had a mover put his foot through the attic into our kitchen ceiling. We had a walk through with the new owner scheduled for less than 48 hours later and were moving out of state. We needed quality work done fast. Nathan took care of us once again. He had someone out to repair the ceiling within 24 hours and it looked good as new for the walk through. I doubt he can always be available on such short notice, but he understood our situation and saved the day.

We would highly recommend them. We were very satisfied with their work; in fact, we have never been more satisfied with any contractor that we have ever hired. The owner was very professional and dedicated to being sure that the finished product was everything that the contract promised. The entire crew was friendly, cooperative, and efficient. The work was done in a timely manner. We plan to have them replace our front door, add a parking pad and an attached storage building within a few months. Will update once that’s completed, but have no doubt that it will be above and beyond our satisfaction.

The guys were the most CLEAN people working in my house I have EVER seen. They put down drop cloths all over my house so they would not mess up anything. They took 2 days to finish all of the work I wanted done. We were extremely satisfied with our service and punctuality. We have told everybody about this wonderful group of workers. Please, Please, Please tell everyone to use them. THEY ARE WONDERFUL PEOPLE......

The service was magnificent. They were very clean every time they came the would put down drop clothes and made sure their was no mess. I would recommend them to anyone. Their prices were reasonable, very competitive. My husband would call them back in a heartbeat!
