The man came over immediately and gave me a quote of $950 to remove a large pine tree and take out a stump after the AL coupon. I had to wait to schedule the appointment due to HOA rules. He said they were bonded and insured and that he would send me that documentation in the mail. The documentation never arrived. I had that tree, and 4 others, removed and the stumps ground for $750 from another company that provided documentation.

Description of Work: I was contacted about the type of work I needed done which was to have a lot cleared of brush and a portion of foundation removed. I was told that someone would be contacting me after they saw my lot and I never heard from them again.

Description of Work: The person who came to look at the job did not come when he said he would be here - about an hour late. Then when he did get here, he looked at the tree in question, and began to immediately tell me that the service I had purchased would not cover the cost of trimming the tree, but that it would cost as much as four times what the "good deal" cost. When I asked him what would the good deal would cover, he told me that it would cover about one-fourth of the work that I wanted done. It seemed to me that the projected cost was too much for what I wanted done. I will wait until the leaves fall off before I look at this problem again.

Description of Work: I purchased the $149 Big Deal which was supposed to be good for $300 worth of tree service. When Mr. Green arrived I asked him what service $300 would get for me. He asked me what all I wanted done. After showing him he wrote me an estimate for an additional charge of $275. That would mean that I would be paying a total of $424 for $575 worth of his services. I told him just to do what he felt was fair for the $300 Big Deal that day and I'd think about the additional $275. Well...he only cut 3 branches off of 3 trees. They were not even clean flush cuts and he did not haul off the branches but put them by my curb for removal. This meant he actually was charging me $100 per branch! These were not huge limbs and they were easily cut by standing on the ground. No ladders or climbing was involved and it only took about 30 minutes if that. |When Mr. Green called the next week wanting to come back for the additional $275, I told him how displeased I was with the service I had received for my purchase. He asked me if he could come back and finish everything I had shown him that I wanted done for $125. I agreed and he returned and completed the job. He cut some more limbs and trimmed large bushes. He did an excellent job of cleaning up the yard. He did not haul the debris off, but I did tell him he could cut the branches into 3 ft. pieces and leave them by the curb for my trash service pick-up. |In summary, I ended up paying a total of $274 for supposedly $425 worth of service. I do not feel that what I had done (trimming bushes and cutting some limbs) was worth $425; however, for the actual $274 that I did pay it was worth the price. |

Description of Work: They ground a large tree stump and a lot of large tree roots in our front yard. They did everything they said they would do.
