Very timely for the estimate, changed the time for initial work and I had to cancel due to that. Never received response back for reschedule.

Matt did a real nice job. The work was tedious and slow, but he was able to complete it to my satisfaction--i recommend Matt highly.

He seems pleasant but he did not follow up with a response to do the work like he said he would.

DO NOT hire this contractor for drywall work. We needed a relatively small drywall job completed during our master bath remodel, and hired Above and Beyond to do the work. The job involved hanging new drywall (I had to explicitly ask for the green mold/moisture resistant drywall....if I hadn't asked, he would have hung regular) as well as doing some patchwork into the existing drywall. Both were done poorly. The patchwork is very obvious after being painted (we're even considering redoing all of it ourselves just so we can be happy looking at the walls), and my husband had to go back to touch up a lot of areas on the newly hung drywall. In some cases, it wasn't even screwed to the studs all the way. Bottom line - he may be a good handyman, but I will never use his services again and would not recommend anyone consider him for drywall work.

Everything went well, service provided as proposed and scheduled.

He arrived on time, grabbed his ladders and went to work. completed the things to do in about an hour or less. Did not mind me watching and commenting on his skills.

The service was excellent. He is very conscientious about returning calls and he comes on time. He does not waste time and I would call him again.

We are a mid sized property management company needing an array of services from time to time. Above and Beyond was able to handle all of our requests in a timely and cost effective way. In this line of work it's an asset to have such a trusted resource such as Above and Beyond that we can call when in need of quality contract work.

They were inexperienced. They came in and gave a bid. It was obvious that they had not done that type of work. He was a nice person. We wanted someone with more experience. They were nice and polite. They prompt and they were easy in scheduling the bid. I would consider them again for something else.

Everything went very well. Matthew is very easy to work with. He is professional, knowledgable and timely. I gave him the significant challenge of patching many large holes in plaster created by a major remodel of a 1916 home. He never hesitated, and you can tell he has a lot of experience dealing with this type of situation. His work was very accurate and clean...as clean as you can get with plaster and drywall. He also did some ceiling framing and drywall in a small room that had a drop ceiling and plaster removed for plumbing access. His price was fair, and he was reasonable and up front when it needed to be increased do to an extra area we had covered with stuff. I never had to wonder if he was going to show up and the work always progressed with out delay. I would highly recommend him, and I may use his services again in the fall to do some insulation.

Small, but tricky project. I supplied the materials (cost of approx $20). He spent about two hours on this project, and beforehand we agreed on $25. I was pleased with the quality of the work and his attention to detail. I didn't think $25 was enough for two hours of work, so I gave him an additional $15. I contacted several millworking and cabinet shops prior, and either there would have been a two week turnaround time or too expensive. For the money I spent, the same day service, and the quality of work, I will recommend Matt to everyone, and will be hiring him again. My drawers now work BETTER than new!

Came and provided an estimate for the work in early April. He called a few weeks later to schedule the work but had to postpone due to rain. He called back a couple weeks later when weather cleared. He and another worker arrived promptly just before 8:00 the first day and we went over the items to be done in addition to a couple of additional tasks I requested that weren't in the original estimate. He gave me a fair cost estimate for the additional items and went right to work. When I asked how he could wash the 2nd floor windows which had storms and screens that prevented access to the window panes, he informed me that the windows could be removed from inside. When I arrived home from work around 4:30, they were gone for the day and I found the site cleaned up well with the exception of some minor chips of paint. The second morning they arrived just after 8:00. I was home all day and was able to observe them using drop clothes to catch paint chips and drips as they worked. I also noticed that they had removed one set of shutters so the outside edge of the window frame could be painted. They seemed very thorough. As we removed each set of 2nd floor windows, I noticed that some of the glazing was brittle or missing and asked Matt for a quote to recaulk each window as needed. Again, the charge seemed fair so I had him perform that task. I also noticed some over paint on a couple windows and Matt assured me that would be cleaned up. I was really impressed by how they worked diligently with little idle time and just a half hour for lunch. Once everything was done and they were packing up, I did a final walk around the house to inspect the work. I found a couple of spots that needed caulking (which Matt promptly did) but it appeared that everything else was completed and nicely cleaned up. They completed everything in 2 days and I was very pleased. My house hasn't looked so nice in a looooooong time. :-) I would definitely hire them again.
