Called for estimate. Guy came about a week later. Estimator was not sure could deal with unique features of my roof. Promised estimate. No response. Called number, mailbox was full. Now their lot is abandoned. They must have moved or quit.

On Sept 4 Jeff came out and reviewed the roof and attic. He sealed several places that he thought the leak was coming from. This did not stop the leak. He came back on Sept. 11 and did a thorough inspection even climbing under the rafters to see the leak. He then gave me a quote to remove the flashing valley and replace shingles as needed and also repair some wood that was very soft in the bonus room where the leak was. At that time I asked how far out they were with doing the work. He said around 3 weeks. I said that was fine and he indicated that they would call to set a date. Four weeks later I had not heard and drove to their office in Inman and showed them the quote. They indicated that would talk to Jeff. I never heard back and finally got a different contractor to do the work.

We had been putting this project off for a couple of years, but now we are glad we got it done. Grier roofers were professional, and finished in 1.5 days. We would definitely hire them again, but hope it is a long time!

I called, they said they would call back "next week". They did not call, I called again, said they would call back. They never did call. Don't call them on Friday afternoon, you can't even leave a message.

We are pleased with the work they have done. They completed the job in one day.

They were good. They were last here about a week a go. They are prompt. The workers are good. I would recommend them to a friend. They have been excellent overall. The price was fine. I would use them again in the future.

They did an excellent job. When they came out I had several different points from different individuals who I already used before and was expecting to use them, but I chose Grier because they came and did the assessment and sat upon the roof and put the stuff back and they were pretty punctual. They were done in a half a day.

Called first thing Monday morning, they sent out an estimator later that day. We had an Ice storm on Tuesday, so they could not come out until Wednesday. Matched the color/texture of the shingles much better than I expected. Had them look over rest of roof and they told me I had another 4-5 years left. Will call them back then.

The quote process was quick and easy. The salesman is experienced and not pushy and the price was very fair. They showed up exactly when scheduled and completed the work very quickly with respectable quality. My only advice is to be very specific if there is something special you want done. Be very specific how you want it done if it's important to you. I did not know to be specific about certain things regarding the metal work and expected that if there were questions then they would be discussed. Instead assumptions were made by Grier having to do with the metal roof that did not fit with my plans. Grier was good about coming out and discussing the issues to work out an acceptable solution for everyone and I'm happy with how it turned out. I would use them again, and I would apply my lessons learned to hiring any roofer for a future job.

I had called Grier Roofing yesterday. They called before coming today. The gentleman was very polite, looked inside the fireplace from inside the house and then went up on the roof. He applied a hydro gel to the gap that had formed around the high side of the chimney and checked out the boots on exhaust pipes applying gel where needed. He explained how the gap had probably come to be, why I only noticed a leak when it rained heavily, and how he fixed it. He told me that it I had any further problems they'd come and fix it. And to my surprise he told me that when the roof needs to be replaced the cost of this repair would be taken off the roofing job cost. Most unusual.

He was very cordial and very friendly. He is very upfront about everything. He is also very professional and direct-to-the-point. He got the job done pretty quick.

Phil Cody came out and looked at the roof and promised an estimate the next day. The estimate was in my inbox the next morning. The estimate was the most reasonably priced of the others we had procured, beating two estimates by more than half. As promised, they showed up to do the work on the following Tuesday. The roofers were punctual: arrived every day by 8am and left at 5pm. Very professional, very hard-working. Cleaned up after themselves. Even brought out their own microwave to make lunch. The roof came with a 15-year workmanship warranty and a 20-year manufacturers materials warranty. After the work was done, and after the first rain, I noticed that some water was making it around the metal skirting and behind the fascia board. I called Phil and he came out the very next day to assess. He came back out when the rains let up, fixed the problem, and also repaired another corner of the roof. Overall I could not have asked for a better experience. My only disappointment is that by the time I need a new roof again Phil might be retired.

Prompt reliable service. New roof completed on one day, clean up was exceptional and roof looks great. Price was lowest of 4 estimates. Would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing a new roof.

The estimate was done on June 4th, and it took until June 26st for the work to be completely done. This was partly due to the amount of summer thunderstorms, and partly due to Grier scheduling. The crew that actually did the work was very good, although they all spoke Spanish, except the one Foreman. The only problem with that is that it does make the consumer wonder if the workers are all legal. The work they did on the roof appeared to be good. The day after the work was completed, the company sent someone out to make sure we were satisfied, and he did climb up to remove one extra piece of flashing that had been left in the chimney accidentally. Two months later when I wrote an e-mail that we needed a bit more caulking to cover a chalk level line near the window, Grier sent out the original Foreman to take care of it right away. We are happy with the service over all and have recommend Grier Roofing to our next door neighbor. Grier coordinated with our insurance company for Hail damage.

Very very good all around on time for everything, no stress whatsoever. Everything was done as expected. No surprises or disappointments. All contacts were excellent and experienced. Job well done.

The crew arrived at 0730, got right to work and stripped off the old shingles and paper, Installed new paper, shingles and cleaned up before noon. We were left with a beautiful new roof and everything was cleaned up. VERY SATISFIED.

I contacted the sales guy to get a quote. he was very responsive and worked quickly to get me a quote for replacing my roof. I had to wait for a few weeks before I could schedule an actual time for the roof to be replaced in order to save money for the roof( we had been previously taken advantage of by a roofing company that was taken to court by multiple homeowners who paid but received no service). Once I contacted the sales guy back he was quite quick to get me scheduled. He even expedited them to my house as I was already experiencing leaks. He was even good about remaining in contact with me about the changes in the schedule and details required to get the schedule expedited. On the day the roof was to be replaced, the workers arrived in 2 groups. One group was early and went right to work. The other group was on time and joined the group on the roof upon arrival. They did need to replace one section of roof plywood. There was no charge for this (as it states in their terms of work). The attachment style of the shingle was by nail, as I had requested. The workers were done within 7 hours of starting the roof. Everything was GREAT up to this point. Now it was time to give payment. I heard noting back from them for a few days. At that point I began to wonder when someone would be around to take payment for the roof. I contacted the sales person (the only contact I had for the company at that point). I was informed that I would receive a bill and we could settle up at that point in time. I received a bill 2 days after that. This was on a Friday. I contacted the sale guy on Monday and mentioned that I had gotten the bill. He said he would get in contact with someone to come out and take payment. I let it go until Tuesday of the next week. At that time, I called the sales guy back to let him know I had not heard anything yet.. He stated that he would have to check to see what was going on. Approximately 1 hour after the call I received an email from a representative stating and quot;please remit payment promptlyand quot;. I sent an email back requesting a time for a representative to come out to receive the check. When I had not heard anything back by the afternoon of the following day, I called. The person who sent the email had already left the office for the day. The person answering the phone stated that he would have him get in touch with me the next day. 4 more days past. At that point I received a call from another person in the office wondering and quot;what was going on with my paymentand quot;. i explained the situation. He stated that he would get someone out to pickup my payment(This was on a Thursday). The next day I received a call to schedule the pickup. I scheduled for the following Tuesday. The following Tuesday(after hours), I had a guy from the company who came by my house to inspect the roof and pick up the payment. The guy was VERY nice and professional as well. He took the payment. As of this writing the payment has not cleared my bank, but I have confidence it will clear in a few days.

Grier Roofing LLC were very professional, they got the job done in one day and did the clean up after they were done.

I have no complaints. The crew worked hard in the heat. The roof was completed in one day. Cleanup was done well. I am very pleased, not only with the work crew, but with the sales rep (estimator). All was done professionally.

The people from Grier roofing did an exceptional job on all the work. None of the flowers or plants were damaged , clean up was superb and the entire job was performed in one day.

They didn't show up before I signed a contract with another company for the job. They weren't punctual.

They were very prompt with providing an estimate for removing/replacing the roof. We went by their show room to pick shingle colors and they provided directions to nearby homes that had the shingles we were interested in. The work crew was very organized and had all of the equipment needed to do the job. Cleanup was handled well and the final product is very nice.

Grier was very responsive with the initial inspection and provided an estimate on the spot. They returned a few days later to fix the problems. The fee was actually less than the original estimate. However, after the next heavy rain, the roof began leaking again in the location they had tried to repair. We called and they said they would get back to us. They never called back. We've been trying to follow up, but there has been no answer at their Inman, SC office and no voicemail. We have written to them through their webpage to try to get a response. Not sure if we will hire in the future. It depends on how this turns out.

Job was done in two days and the crew was fast, efficient, professional, courteous and paid meticulous attention to detail. We are very pleased with the results of their work. We have had no problems since and we will recommend them!
