Melvin came out promptly and gave me a price the same day. I had a lot of damage from water overflow from upstairs bathroom. He and his partner Bobby, went over and above helping me out. They also removed bathroom vanity, mirror , and light in bathroom at my request so it could be repaired and patched the drywall. Painted bathroom. He repaired and replaced sheet rock f due to kitchen ceiling coming down with the water. He did drywall repairs in greater living area, matched the paint that was there, painted all the continuous areas throughout large living room with 20 foot high ceilings. He even did some touch up paint that was not part of the original job. He also found me someone to install insulation under crawl space, that had been removed from water recovery team. He kept his price estimate and let me determine the value for the extra work involved that was not part of the original estimate. He is coming back to touch up some sheet rock in bathroom where tile baseboard was removed I would definitely recommend and his team again.

Melvin was fantastic. I had a screened porch converted to a sunroom and needed to have the vinyl ceiling torn out and replaced with drywall. I called Melvin and he came out the next day and gave me a quote. Later that evening he responded with a very fair price and could start the next morning. He showed up at 9AM and began the work first tearing out the old vinyl ceiling and then hanging the drywall, taping and spackling. The next day he returned at 9AM and sanded, and applied 2 coats of paint. It looks fantastic. I would highly recommend Melvin and will use him again for any drywall projects I have.

They did well. They were very nice, professional, on time and answered their phones. They did a great overall job. I had to ask them to come back a couple times to touch up some areas, and they came back fast and on time until i was satisfied.

We had a rental home flood in Summerville which required all the drywall to be replaced and painted. Melvin was patient with our other contractors and returned multiple times to install drywall correctly. Then he came back when it was time to have the house painted. He does a great job and is very professional. We recommend him to all of our clients!

Melvin returned our call immediately and started work the same day as estimate was provided. The other two companies we contacted, still haven't returned our call to schedule estimates. Melvin did the work himself and his expertise was evident. He returned as expected on time and schedule. His work was completed quickly, professionally and expertly. The work was done the right way the first time. We will definitely call Melvin again for any drywall or painting needs.

I can't say enough about Melvin. We contracted with him to remove the popcorn finish from a home we had just bought. Melvin completed the work on 5/5/14 while we were out of town and before we moved in. Having been a contractor for decades, I cannot express how impressed I was with the product. The ceilings were like glass and properly primed/finished. Even the smallest closet (about 24" x24" with linen shelving from floor to ceiling) had been scraped and painted to perfection. Best of all, the entirety of work was completed without any input from me. I did not need to tell Melvin what to do or that something should be done better. He only knows how to do things one way-- the right way. We were so impressed that almost immediately we called Melvin back to paint several rooms in the home while we were on vacation. Again, Melvin did the job on his own and we returned to some stunning rooms. I just met with Melvin again today. I have a larger project (ceiling scraping, drywall, spackling and paint) and Melvin is the only guy I called. He was promptly available to look at the project and I have every confidence we will be working together soon. Lastly, Melvin is simply a hard-working, personable and friendly guy. Always a smile on his face and a handshake at the ready. These are things that don't show up on a proposal but are worth paying for.

Melvin returned a enquiry call immediately, came promptly to give an estimate & started the work at once. He worked with an assistant. Their work was extremely good & they were also the tidiest dry wall specialists I've ever had the pleasure of employing. I am thrilled to have found him and heartedly recommend him.

Melvin did a great job. He was able to come by the house and give a full estimate of the repair costs within 24 hours of receiving my call. He did a professional job and the price was fair for the amount of time and work performed. i will recommend Melvin to my friends who need either drywall repair or painting work.

He answered the phone on the first call when I called (I could tell he was in the middle of a job when he picked up the phone). He gave me a quote within 24 hours His quote was fair for the work (other guys were in left field) He showed up when he said he would. Work began within a few days. Work was performed per the workscope. He communicated the status to me as work progressed and was done in a couple of days. All in all, I was very happy that the work was done to my satisfaction and there were no surprises!

While waiting for 2 other quotes from Angies's list, I called Melvin and he came the same day and began the work!!! He returned to finish several days later based on my schedule. The job is so professional because he has been doing this for 40 yrs. I have a larger project down the road and will contact Melvin.

Melvin was great! He gave us a quote on a Wednesday, started work the next day and was done in two days. He was the most reasonable quote we received and was even flexible enough to to do a few more items that we didn't originally think we needed. Him and his crew were great guys! Will definitely hire again.

Melvin was always right on time. He stayed right with his estimate. Melvin and his crew worked easily around the other workers doing various remodeling tasks. The new ceilings are fabulous, along with all the other painting. Melvin even came back after all remodeling and furniture moving in and touched up the walls. Great work.

After he got the job, Would make appointments and was usually late and did not call. On one occasion never showed on the agreed upon day. He said the walls would be smooth and ready for painting after he was finished but still don't have it painted. Lots of bubbles, pock marks, divets showing. Am waiting on someone else to come take a look at it.

Melvin was great - answered my call on the first attempt, completed the job very fast, and was very thorough. His price was better than the average contractor, but he was much friendly and did the job with higher quality than what I usually see. Very impressed, easy to work with, and quality work. I would use Melvin again for any of my family's homes or rental units.

I first contacted three highly rated contractors on Angie's List to get an estimate for the work involved. Two contractors said they were on a job and would call me back later that same day to arrange an appointment for the next day. The third contractor was out-of-town but said he would call me when he returned two days later. I did not hear from either of the two contractors that promised to call to set up an appointment the next day so I called them both back and had to leave a message. One returned my call and came out a couple of days later. He provided an estimate but did not seem like he was particularly interested and was noncommittal as to when he could schedule to do the work. I never heard back from the other two contractors. I then called Melvin's Drywall and Mr. Wright came out the very next day to look at the work needed. He was very professional but also pleasant and he provided the best price. Mr. Wright and crew were able to start that week and worked diligently to complete the work as quickly as possible. Mr. Wright is extremely knowledgeable and professional in his field. He and his assistants do exemplary work.

This was a good experience from the first phone call to the one I made this afternoon to schedule another appointment to have 3 rooms painted. The work was done impeccably. The last thing Melvin did was vacuum to ensure that the work area was left neat and tidy, and maybe cleaner than he found it. We would definitely use his company again, and as stated previously, have an appointment in July.

It went Great. Melvin and his assistant were on time and immediately went to work. In addition to the first trip Melvin came back later the same day and finished up the next day. Melvin not only did what we had initially discussed but patched and primed other areas of the bathroom as well, making it ready for me to pint. Melvin also replaced my shower head with a temporary one I had until I am able to get new fixtures. Melvin was also very particular about cleaning up everything including the floor. He is a very hard worker. Overall, the work he did was wonderful. You could easily see he knew his trade from the results.

They did an excellent job. They did it for a very good price. They did a very good job. He was there when he say he was going to be there. It took him three and half days like he told me it would. He gets an "A+" recommendation.

I would have no problem hiring Mr. Melvin Wright and his crew again. In fact, it would be a pleasure to hire them for any future painting jobs. I would enjoy seeing them again and would recommend his painting service to others.

As long as Melvin is in business I will ONLY use him for drywall work. He is professional, fair, does excellent work and does what he says he is going to do. He works hard and gets the job done.
