Everything was completed as expected. The very efficient receptionist who scheduled my appointment asked all the right questions to get the job done. The servicemen arrived on time (actually a bit early, called in advance of their arrival, were considerate of my belongings,and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. The work was completed in one hour at a very reasonable price. I really appreciated the recommended rheostat installation and have used it almost daily.

It was not an electrical problem- it was a malfunctioning water heater and with May Electric assessment we were able to get the problem resolved! Thank you May Electric!

David's work was totally excellent in every way! He installed the fans and switches, demonstrated how to use them, explained the fan warranties, and thoroughly cleaned the floors when the work was done. The work took approximately two hours and the cost of $270.00 was very reasonable for the work done. We highly recommend May Electric.

My husband had been attempting to install lights that come on at dusk, on our outdoor courtyard lamps. He received a nasty shock even though the switch was turned off. He did not do any more work on the light; we covered it with a plastic garbage bag and attempted to find an electrician. Three or four electricians I called never returned my message. One said he would stop by to give us an estimate, but never showed up. May Electric had given us a date about 10 days out, but they were the only company that seemed willing to accept the work. Several of our neighbors had recommended them, but they all did say they were more expensive than most. We made the appointment, and the receptionist did tell us their rates on the phone, so we knew what to expect. We were willing to pay the additional cost in order to get our light fixed and take the plastic garbage bag off of it! The technicians showed up exactly on time, and worked very systematically to confirm, diagnose, and fix the problem. He had to test a number of possible causes, so it took some time. He worked quickly but was very thorough. We asked him to re-install the outside light fixtures while he was here, and he graciously did that for us. The cost was exactly what we expected based on what the receptionist had told us. Based on our limited knowledge of electrician rates here, it was perhaps 10-15% more than another electrician might have charged. However, May Electric told us that up front, they committed to a date and came when they said they would, and the technician did a good job taking care of the problem. We would use them again.

Company was easy to contact, arrange service; technician who showed up (Lew) was friendly, professional, used care to avoid making mess and cleaned up afterwards, worked hard for entire period without break for any meal. Very professional - I'd recomend this firm without hesitation and will use again for future services when we need them.

When I got the price the next day it was close to $500! The low rating I gave this "company" is fair and accurate because the estimate was much higher than three other A rated Angie's List service providers. It was totally unreasonable for 1/2 hours worth of work.

The service technician showed up on time, surveyed the work and provided a quote on the spot. I thought the price was reasonable, so they performed the work immediately, working steadily through early afternoon without a break for lunch. etc. The electrician was very personable and from what I could see, the quality of the work was very good. The electrician also gave me some advice for a small job I felt comfortable doing. I did discoverer a few days later that two of the new lights installed were not hooked into the on/off switch and stayed on constantly. I contacted Randy May Elec., and they showed up the next business day to correct that minor problem. I received the invoice and it was exactly as quoted - no charge for the return visit to correct the wiring of the two lights. I'll definitely use them again.

A different electrician replaced the switch and corrected the problem.

The problem was solved without the need for a service call. The individual who answered the call helped me track down a GFI of which I was unaware. This could easily have resulted in a service call. Instead, my problem was solved at no cost to me. The provider was friendly, knowledgable, and courteous. I have two future projects at the townhouse and will be calling this company for both.

They are very good. They gave a bid and the final bill was exactly the same. The electrician whom they sent was very knowledgeable and punctual. He was very responsive to our concerns. I will definitely use them again.

A great company. Called to describe the problem. They were able to schedule very promptly. The work was completed in a timely manner. Will certainly call them when we have other electrical issues.

We didn't like him. He came out and gave us an estimate and when we actually had the work done I got a bill for way over the price. When I called him to talk to them about it they told me they charged by the hour instead of the estimate. So she started breaking it down and it turns out he did a couple of extra things in my house and they over charged for everything. She checked the GPS on the electricians truck and found out that he bolted up the hours that he was out here so she discounted it a little bit. So they charged $75 an hour for the estimate visit and another $75 to run out 2 different times to get the parts when he came to do the job because he didn't come with the parts.

As always a very compitant co. Cam in and installed the oven working perfectly.

Great, we used them again in August to install a bathroom light fixture. That also was done great. I am considering Randy May Electric to be my only electrical company.

We will use them in the future. They back up their work. They will come back free of charge, and fix it if anything is wrong. I would highly recommend them, and we have been using them for years. The same people come every time, and you get to know them. They are good people, and the best. The new fans were making a noise, and there was a piece of paper that was glued to them. They came back and removed all the paper, and did it free of charge.

They do a great job. Their prices are market rate. I would recommend them to others. They always respond right away and get someone out right away. Their timeliness is incredible.
