Chem-Dry of Hilton Head

Absolutely abysmal! Came twice to try to remove brown spots, but could not do so. Charged $188, but could not get the spots out and actually bleached the white carpet to be lighter than it was to begin with. Carpet cleaning companies should do no harm even if they can’t get spots out!!!! Bob, manager or owner of Chem Dry Stated that he would give me $500 if the guy that I would’ve used to happen to be sick at the time give me $500 if that guy could get the stains out, which he did! Bob came by with the intent of not living up to his agreement, and did not do so, subsequently telling me he would see me in court, and calling rme an a****** after I told him he would lose business if he didn’t pay up since the stains were removed by Cleaning solution, my regular carpet guy. I had to pay my regular cleaning company, who is not available due to sickness, another $90, and they were able to get the spots out with no problem. Hilton head Chem Dry cannot get the job done, and will not do what is right when they can’t. Pictures below show how Chem dry left with spots still visible, and after Cleaning Solution came and removed the spots.

We had already moved all furniture and readied the house, since we were told they would not move any furniture (chairs moved out of rooms, tables & lamps moved, all items on floors relocated to high areas etc) Had to insist that they come the next morning. Could not get a firm commitment for the next day. Decided to cancel and go to a different provider. Very poor service. Would not recommend them to anyone in the Moss Creek period.

I have used them severall time and I have always been very pleased with their work and their competency

I was able to make an appointment within a day of calling. He was very professional and friendly. I would use them again, though a pet stain did not improve after cleaning in one of the rooms.

He was very professional and polite. The carpet looked nearly new afterwards. I was extremely pleased.

The technician pre-spotted all visible spots at my request. Many of the spots were dog spots and/or very old spots that I had tried to clean but that had returned. After Chem-Clean finished all the spots were gone and have not returned. The technician was on time, capable, professional and pleasant. I will continue to use Chem-Clean for all my carpet cleaning needs.

We had a very good experience with them. They gave me a promotional thing and it was like $200 for all the rugs. It was very good. They did the cleaning and shampooed and they had a different process than most companies and so it does not leave a lot of water as a residue. We have hardwood floors and they protected our floors and then they put a deodorizer in the mix and everything was very fresh and smelled great and everything. We were very pleased. I would recommend them because of their unique process that minimizes the use of water. They used very little water so it dries quickly and does not hurt the floorings. Their process is a good process and is not available through other companies. I was very pleased with their pricing; others were much more expensive. They were very quick to schedule an appointment.

Was given an appointment within same week I called. The owner came to my house. I had a stain on pale carpet that had been there for YEARS and had been worked on by another carpet cleaner. Bob completely removed it and it has not come back. Also had some new spots that were orange and appeared to be some form of oil but I couldn't tell him what it was. He wasn't sure he could remove all the color but with a couple of tries he did. Unlike with other cleaners, the carpets were practically dry when he finished but he put little blocks under the wooden rockers of a chair and shields under another piece of wooden furniture that a previous cleaner had let bleed and stain the carpet. He was very quick and thorough and personable. It is clear he takes pride in his work and gives you his best effort.
