Description of Work: Replace heating and air unit

Description of Work: Annual maintenance contract for maintenance of heating and AC. Technician set all humidity controls to wrong settings which caused system to run continuously to try and cool while the humidity part of the system put out hot moist air. Also installed a new $125.00 filter and left out the seperators which supported the filter which caused it to be sucked into the air duct which blocked 40% of the airflow. Repeated calls for correction were either not returned or finally the owner(?) ended up shouting that it was not their fault.

Description of Work: The first time they came out they charged me for a service call and said it was the circuit breaker. Then the same thing happened and replaced the thermostat and that did not correct the problem so the tech said he tried to blow the lines and they were stopped up so he cut the PVC pipe outside and left it like that, blew the lines and said he would come back. Well I got the bill of $754 and they charged me $375 for the thermostat!!!!!!!!!! Then wanted another $500 to come out and fix the PVC!!!!!!!! I told them they could give me my old stat back as evidently that was not the problem to begin with. The gal argued with me and next thing I knew...THEY WENT INTO MY HOUSE AND PULLED THE THERMOSTAT OFF THE WALL LEFT THE WIRES HANGING AND MY TENANT CAME HOME FOR LUNCH AND CALLED ME AND TOLD ME THAT THE STAT WAS GONE!!!!!! I NEVER AUTHORIZED THEM TO GO INTO THE HOUSE AND THE I FIXED THE PVC WITH A 50 CENT PVC ELBOW MYSELF. I ALSO NEED TO MENTION THAT THE ORIGINAL TIME WHEN THE AIR FIRST WENT OUT (I WAS CALLED ON A FRIDAY NIGHT....3 TIMES PLUS MY MANAGEMENT COMPANY CALLED THAT NIGHT AND NO ONE RESPONDED...I ENDED UP CALLING THE OWNER OF MY MANAGEMENT COMPANY AT 9 AM THAT SATURDAY AND THEY FINALLY SHOWED UP.....I WOULD NOT LET THESE PEOPLE WORK ON A DOG HOUSE. THEY ARE ONE OF THE WORST SERVICE PROVIDERS I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH IN ALL OF MY 55 YEARS. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.....YOU WILL BE SO SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!

Description of Work: The fan on our A/C (heat pump) air handling unit was not running. American Air was called, they diagnosed the problem within 5 min that the fan motor was burned out, they removed the fan unit which included the motor in 15 min, I asked what the price would be to fix it and was told that it would be in the $800.00 range. I called them back 3 days later to find out when they would come back and install the fan unit and was told that the cost would be $1600.00, I was shocked, I told him he said it would be in the $800.00 range, he told me that cost was for the motor only and did not include the diagnostic, travel time, labor, warrantys, etc. Because he had the fan unit we were stuck and needed to have the unit working becaue we had no heat in the house. I finally got him to agree on a price of $1200.00 which was still high. They installed the unit which took 20 min, I asked for the motors manufacture warranty and he refused to give it to me. I later checked with a person who is in the A/C business, he told me that I was over charged at $1200.00 and I should have received a warranty on the motor.
