Allen Gardner

This man gave me an estimate and a reference of having worked for another person I had contacted but was busy installing cabinets in his church. After receiving 2 more bids, I called him and gave him the job. He came over with his disabled brother and we went over the projects again. He gave me a story of being short of money and would I give him some of money up front for materials. He told me he would save the receipts. I had him sign an agreement. He was suppose to come 2 days later but did'nt show up. I called him and he said his work truck was running and needed to get it fix. I told him he was suppose to call if he could not work. He didn't show up again, I called him he said his brother fell and was in the hospital for surgery. He never called me. I contacted him and told him he had lost the job and to return my money. His phone would not receive calls . The reference person he gave finally call me to setup a time for an estimate. I asked about this person and he said he knew him, but he had never worked him. He told me the man had a drug problem. I now am headed towards magistrate court to get my money back. Not reliable or trustworthy person.

I had a short in my house wiring that was preventing lights and electrical sockets from working in a few rooms. He arrived soon after I called and quickly diagnosed and solved the problem. I'd use him again.

I purchased a fixture and he ended up taking the part with him costing me a lot of money. He told me he would come and and fix the problem. The day came that he said he would come out and several days later I still have yet to hear from him and he wont answer any of my calls.

No Go, No Show

He was an hour and 15 minutes late for the appointment we had scheduled. I told him I had an appointment to get to at 2pm and he did not have enough time to look at what I needed to have done. He called and said he was on his way and 30-40 minutes later he called and said he would be here in 10 minutes, again after 10 minutes, I called him to see where he was and he arrived 15 minutes later. He was not dressed appropriately, nothing showing who he was.

Allen was excellent to work with. He came the same day that I called him, and he arrived exactly on time. He was very fast and proficient in the repairs. He showed me reasons for my issues and he gave several recommendations that I will follow.

He is friendly and very well informed. He knows how to do the job well and takes pride in doing it. He does great work.
