We built a custom home with John Wieland Homes and every single time we got to meet with Chubb and his group, they were amazing!!! They are wrapping up our home right now, and spent last week installing custom light fixtures that were not easy to install. They did a great job and really knew what they were doing. As an interior designer, I am very picky about my lighting people and while we had no choice but to use Chubb through our builder, we will undoubtedly use them again after we close on the house!

Chubb Electric was hired by my contractor to upgrade my electric in my home that was built in 1928. They originally bid $13,000. Half way through the other work that was being done on my home they brought the 'owner' in who said that the remodeling could not be done without a huge ordeal of destruction, permits, etc. So halfway through my work they changed the plan. Knowing that I did not know anything about electric they recommended that I allow them to change the two prong outlets to three prong outlets. Well their 1 day of work was done with a charge of $6,000. After doing some research of my own I found that they jumped the ground on these outlets which is against code and very dangerous. I had an outside electrician come and verify this. I asked that Chubb come back and change everything back to the way it was. They did not return and didn't even answer my contractors phone calls. In the end my electric remodel was not done. They were fired and did not get paid. I wouldn't hire them to change a light bulb! They are very unethical. The whole experience was very eye opening.

This team was called in to assist us in evaluating the electrical needs of our home after the initial contractor was issued a stop work order by our town for illegal operation. They assessed the damage and committed to their work being done via permit and in compliance with relevant codes, ensuring that our home would be safe. We were very pleased with our initial interaction and the outcome, so much so, that I called them back to the house this week when I cut a power line going out to our dock.
