Their technician was very nice, professional, but not a ball of fire. He arrived on time at 0800 and eventually got to work. He finished the work at 10am and left us a bill for $350.00 which equates to $175.00 per hour. I spoke to acquantancies and friends in the business who have ALL agreed that the charge is absurd, should have taken about an hour. I was initially told by Waldrop they charged $70 per hour for labor. The three (3) hours actually cost us $140 per hour. Never again will I call Waldrop for anything.

My experience was excellent my husband was very pleased. He said they were the most professional company that he has ever dealt with and the knowledge of the products. Then the fact the engineer came out and spent almost a entire day after it was installed to explain everything. We are satisfied with the work they have provided and we would use them again in the future.

Ken was very responsive and thorough. While doing his inspection he noticed that there may be some electrical concerns so he arranged for an electrician to meet him at the building to inspect and give an estimate. His estimate for repair was a little cheaper than a previous estimate I received.

.We have them for regular maintenance. They installed a new heating system in our home in 2012. They come out twice a year. They are very professional. If you have any problems or complaints, they have someone out straight away to take care of any issues. They are very good. They are quick and responsive. They have come out and tweaked the unit a couple of times, now it is perfect.

I contacted Waltrop Heating inc. through their website and completed an online form to request a quote for a new HVAC system. After several days without a response, I contacted them by phone. I was transferred to the sales department and left a message. I never received a follow-up call to set up a time for an appointment for an estimate. Two other HVAC service provides in the area promptly scheduled appointments with hours of my call. While the quality of their work may be great, I would have some concerns about dealing the company based on their unresponsiveness to my request. Update--the Residential Sales Manager from Waldrop's called me this afternoon after learning of this review on Angie's List. He apologized and offered to come next week and provide an estimate. I declined as I had already obtained quotes from three other HVAC service providers in the area. He said the failure was due to personnel changes and call center changes.

The heating and cooling system in the 1998 house we purchased in the summer of 2013 was in poor condition and nearing the end of its useful life. As part of a whole house renovation, we solicited proposals from competing HVAC companies for a full system replacement, using identical manufacturers and equipment. Waldrop offered us the best price, about 5% below the next proposer, and suggested a more efficient and cost effective way to achieve separate zones in the house. They also quoted us a substantial manufacturer cash rebate, which the competing company did not. Waldrop obtained the specified equipment promptly, coordinated installation with our contractor efficiently and fully manned the job with qualified technicians from start to finish. Of particular note is that Waldrop provided an experienced full-time superintendent to oversee the techs and coordinate with my contractor and me. This was particularly helpful since we were living in the house while work proceeded, and the superintendent was exceptionally considerate and kept disturbance and inconvenience to an absolute minimum. The resulting installation was excellent and performed beyond our expectations. Following the installation, Waldrop assigned a specialized technician to inspect the work of its other staff and to adjust and balance the system based on actual conditions. Photos were taken by the tech and inspection notes were prepared. We were told that they would be happy to return (without additional charge) for further adjustments if we felt the system was not performing optimally. They also prepared and submitted paperwork for the HVAC equipment manufacturer and utility company rebates for which we were qualified. After starting the HVAC work, I learned that Waldrop also provides electrical backup generators. I was planning to install one and requested a quote. The response was competitive and installation and start-up was done by a manufacturer-certified technician employed by Waldrop. The electrical connection to the transfer panel and main electrical panel is normally a responsibility of the general contractor, but Waldrop's generator tech spent a lot of time working with our contractor, without additional charge, to help him understand the equipment wiring requirements. We highly recommend Waldrop for residential HVAC work. They were professional, considerate, well qualified and experienced, and provided us excellent service for a very competitive price.

My wife and I recently had the need to update our HVAC system for our house. We called a few companies to start the process. When it was all said and done we chose Waldrop. The main reason we choose Waldrop was James Phillips professionalism and care that he showed for our family. He took time to explain the system thoroughly to me and my wife. He went through every aspect of our current system. He was the only sales person to spend the time to inspect the vents and measure for air flow in each room. Then to top it all off we also had the assurance of the Waldrop name and reputation. Once we informed James that we wanted to proceed with the install, he followed up several times to ensure that all our questions were answered. Why we were awaiting the install our upstairs furnace went out. I called James that morning and within two hours he had a technician and space heaters out to our house. They were able to fix our upstairs unit. This was very impressive. Then came the install. I am a homeowner that likes to be involved in the big projects. Alan and Larry arrived to install our new unit. From first impression Alan and Larry seemed very professional and showed concern for my family. Alan even took time to introduce himself to my two and half year old daughter. Once they started the walked me through every step of the project. Alan and Larry made sure not only to install the unit correctly but also to make sure that every thing was pleasing to the eye. They also fixed our outdated duct system and for the first time all of our vents worked in our house. Every day they made sure to leave the worksite clean and free from debris. I would like to consider these guys the A team for Waldrop. I think that you and Waldrop are very fortunate to have such great associates. After the install the two gentleman came to the house to inspect the job and ensure the unit was working correctly. Which I can ensure you that no other company offered this service. Davan took time to ensure that my wife the tech n*** new how to work all aspects of the wi-fi thermostat. This was another feature that no other company offered. My wife was very pleased with Davan and the time he spent to explain all the components of the new thermostat and system. Overall we just wanted you to know how pleased we were with Waldrop and all of your wonderful associates. We will let all of our friends and family know how great Waldrop is. Through this experience my wife and I have become Waldrop customers for life.

Talked w/several A/C companies and did a lot of research using Angie's List, BBB and other online opinion sites. (including the brand of A/C we wanted). Contacted Waldrop and made an appt for them to come out for an estimate. Ken gave us several options to choose from and he was honest in what he thought best for our home. Ken was extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions and addressed our concerns. Hired them after a few weeks to do the installation. The installers were polite, efficient and mindful of our dogs. Took them about a day and a half. I couldn't even tell they'd been here after coming home from work. They followed up w/an inspection of their own and then the county came and did their inspection. Excellent job. I called to ask them for any paperwork (warranty, instructions, etc) and it came in the mail in 2 days. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with their work and very much appreciate the care they took with our house and especially our dogs. In each instance, they were here when they said they'd be. Even though we won't be needing to use the A/C for a few months, I am confident that if we have any issues, they'll be out when we need them.

All personnel at Waldrop were professional and their service was very good. My brother and I own a few rental properties in Spartanburg, SC, and both of us live in Southern California, so it is very important that we use reliable and trustworthy companies to handle all requirements to keep properties in rent ready state. We had an HVAC unit stolen from a property and after receiving 5 bids, we chose Waldrop because of the reviews on Angie's list and now my own delightful experience with the company. I highly recommend Waldrop for all you heating & a/c needs.

. He opened up my unit with me standing over his back and diagnosed the problem. The fan motor had died. He gave me a quote of about $500. I was concerned and initially I wasn't going to have it done. I had decided that I would get some more opinions but I believed the guy's diagnosis of the problem because I was right there and I could see that the old unit was rusted and faulty. I then asked them if he would honor the coupon on the website for a $50 discount and he said that he would. He went to the supplier and got the part. He came right back, installed the new motor parts and then tested the unit to be sure that it was in working order. I asked them if he would stand by his work and he said that he would. I was satisfied with the encounter and would call them out again if I had any problems. I asked him a lot of questions about my Goodman unit and he was positive about the quality of the units and reassuring.

I interviewed several contractors (all with good reviews on angie's list) but ultimately hired Waldrop to perform the work. While Waldrop's price was neither the lowest or highest one quoted, the knowledge and professionalism exhibited by everyone from the people answering the phones, the sales personnel to the installation crew was first class. With a summer heat wave, no upstairs air and a newborn at home (we had air downstairs), everyone at Waldrop went out of their way to make a very inconvenient problem tolerable. They even delivered and installed temporary window units for us to use for several days before the installation could take place. On the day of installation, everything went very smooth. No payment was required until a week after the installation and a technician came out and verified that everything was working to my satisfaction. Overall, a very good experience and a company I would certainly hire again.

On a hot, steamy Friday before Labor Day, the A/C went out. I called Waldrops Sat. AM and was fixed by 11 AM. Quick courteous service.

From the quote process through the job completion and follow ups, this is a first class and professional organization. The sales rep was patient and explained everything clearly to us up front. During the removal and installation process the on surprises were pleasant ones where guys were clean, professional, on time and very hard working. The sales rep was extremely knowledgeable and informed us of several options and of the quotation. Even through several revisions, he remained patient with me. The installers showed up on time each day (4 days total) and began working immediately around 8:15 each morning and worked until 4:30 or 5:00 each evening - all this through 95+ degree days. They did a neat job and organized the lay out much better than it was before giving us much more space in the attic. Each day their job site was cleaned and ready to start the following. Once complete, they cleaned the work area and left everything as it was before they started. They follow up service / start up guy was as sharp as they come. He completely tested both the heat and ac, zones and programmed the thermostats and control systems. He explained everything about our new HVAC system in detail and answered all the questions we could come up with. We have been thoroughly impressed with everyone at Waldrops and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality (not just a low bid) and a professional contractor. They represent and install quality manufacturers as well, giving us multiple options for an investment in our home. We chose to go with Lennox in this case and it appears to be great stuff! This is truly a case where you get what you pay for, and then some. They go above and beyond and everyone of their people have been respectful to my family and my home.

I was lucky that he was able to replace the breaker because I would have had to make another service call to an electrician. I used one of their website coupons because I wanted to reserve the Angie's List coupon for a future repair.

They were the people that our landlord used. We just continued to use them. I think they're very good. They're thorough. Their work is very reliable. I think what they charge is very reasonable.

They did a great job! I had used them before a long time ago and remembered their name and that they had done a good job a long time ago. It was an honest guy that came out. The air was on in just a little while. I was actually surprised that the price so reasonable!

If we ever replace our furnace then they are going to be doing it because they are excellent. They come out twice a year and if there is anything wrong they fix it for an additional cost. They have been doing such a good job that I have had no reason fix anything. We have a three year contract with them.

They kept a 35-year-old system going on for a long time and then put in a new one. I was very pleased with them. I have used them for fifteen years. They replaced the 35-year-old system with parts that were hard to find. They would come out immediately as when this device went out it was either terribly cold or terribly hot. Three years ago they could not find any more parts and I had to buy a new air conditioner. They came out and finished that work in one day. They did an excellent job. They quoted me $200 under the estimated price. They then came back and checked two or three days later to check if everything was working fine. I cannot be more pleased with them. They are always right on time and their service is just excellent. They are very courteous. I checked around for the prices and they are very competitive. Their work is excellent and they will go the extra mile for you. They charged me around $6000 for the air conditioner and other places were charging $7000 to $8000. I would rate them high overall.

They are a major company in the town. I will definitely tell about them to my family and friends. The guy was very cordial. I even asked him for a help and he said he was willing for me to be around, but he took care of everything. He was under it by himself for a while. Everything worked fine after the work was done. The price was fine. He was here right when he said he would be here. I already signed a maintenance service with them.
