Very professional and knowledgeable.

Used Waldrop already through their annual service agreement. They kept my builder furnace/ac running for 20 years. During annual fall maintenance, the tech noticed cracks in flue and heat exchanger - no CO2 danger yet, but he could not leave it running. Went with them based on the maintenance record on my old system. Great work. 4 technicians at start, 3 most of the day. Arrived on time, took all day, but it was a lot. Laid down their own carpet to protect mine. Stayed on task, short lunch break. Friendly and knowledgeable. All cleaned up and working when they left. No surprises during install. Received free up grade to a wireless thermostat, veteran discount, they do paperwork for a Duke and Piedmont NG discount and they were running a special on heat/ac combo also. Still pricey, but I expect it to last another 20 years.

It started out great. The workers were on time and courteous. We were pleased until the heat came on and it sounded like a jet engine was running in our house and the unit froze over. We called them back and they came back to try and fix it. Our new carrier unit kept freezing over as well. I had to call them back 2 more times only to be told that it was just cold out and that it was normal. One technician actually used our hose and ran cold water over it to unfreeze it! Finally, they sent someone who figured out that the thermostat on the inside of the unit was installed incorrectly and fixed it. The jet engine noise problem was never solved. They also moved a vent in our kitchen and didn't close off the old one so I called them back again. They came out and said it was fixed, but it wasn't. We ended up fixing that ourselves as well as securing one of the ducts in place that was laying on the ground in our crawlspace and was never attached to the vent. I would not recommend Waldrop to anyone. It was a terrible experience and I truly regret using them for the install. The noise problem is not just the unit itself, but the installed layout. I am so disappointed and wish I would have gone with another company. At least maybe it might have been done correctly and I would be getting more sleep.

A courteous technician checked 2 heat pumps. He found a problem with a control board that he said could cause problems in the near future. He gave me an estimate for repair and for replacement. 2 weeks later, the unit failed. I did not contract with this company for the replacement, because a small company could do the job right away for about $1000 less than Waldrop quoted. Waldrop's quote said they would match a competitor's price. I did not investigate, because I wanted the installation right away. Waldrop offered an attractive promotion for their service contract. I'm glad to be associated with them.

I bought a big deal for this service. I was not charged anything additional so the price of the deal covered everything. My wife was there when they did the service call and she did not have any complaints so I assume everything went okay. My wife said everything went well. Nothing has broken down. I think they ran a little behind, but considering the service they were doing I guess that is understandable.

Service tech was very good. Explained what he would be doing and when finished explained status of system and any issues. No pressure sell for other services was nice.

They did the job well. They did what they said they were going to do. We went through Costco and they gave us $1500 gift card for buying it from them.

Overall the sale and installation went smoothly. The gentlemen were professional, prompt, and did their work quickly. They also cleaned up their work area well which I appreciated. The only complaint is that the quality control person has still not been out to check on the work and show me how to program the thermostat several weeks after the install. I need to call about that. However, our upstairs is no longer 97 degrees so our kids are happy. We will use this company to service our units in the future.

They were great. They were courteous and they came when they said they were going to and they fix it. They were very good.

They are excellent. Everything has been great. They come out, and they do what they say they will do, they are courteous, and show up when they say they will, and give us advise on how to make the systems run. I would recommend them. We found them on Angie's List. They are a little more expensive than others, but you get what you pay for.

Jeff responded quickly with quotes, scheduled the work and the guys showed up on time. I'd give them all A's other than the price was a little high I thought for the work. Works well and installed quickly. They also insulated a condensate line in the attic. They put mats down on all the hardwoods, were quick and clean and removed everything just as quickly. Great guys to work with.

The salesperson was less than clear about some of the pragmatics of purchase. He accurately described the installation procedure and was part of the team that uninstalled the system. It went smoothly and has worked well to date.

A microprocessor control box turns off heat pump and fires up the furnace when the temperature drops below 30 degrees. ||Lead "tech" started ripping wires out of control box and rewiring it to "his liking." (My furnace would not function after the "rewire." Had to call in another company to restore wiring so furnace works now. So yeah, the heat pump cooled but furnace was deactivated and we did not realize it til winter.) ||During the course of service call the lead tech said a previous repairman kept redirecting the photocells on the burglar alarm: "Sounds like he wanted to F*** YOUR MOTHER..." (She was in her 90's at the time and we DID NOT appreciate it.)

I scheduled seasonal check of system with an added repair of a leaky natural gas nozzle. All went well. Of course, they tried to sell me a new unit, but were gracious when I declined.

They came on time, called before they arrived, did the job for a reasonable cost and did it quickly. The rep even worked with me on how cost versus what we needed to accomplish.

I called up Waldrop to get a quote on a new ground loop for our geothermal heating system. Understandably they wanted to make sure that the system really did need a new larger ground loop. The company suggested that we check the system to make sure it is functioning properly. I agreed. The service technician came in and did not bring all the gages he needed for both freon types that we have for two different heat pump units. He had to come back a week later and charged us for two service calls and did not find anything wrong. The Service technician agreed that our current ground loop was inadequate and needed to be expanded. We had to pay for 2 service calls because the repairman was not properly prepared for the job. I called four times to get the quote for the ground loop expansion and never got a response. Pretty sneaky way to turn a free quote into 2 service calls.

They did not seem real concerned that I had no air

They are okay. The man that comes is very nice. The price is high. The quality is very good.

Technician and office staff were great. Technician worked cold/rainy Saturday to repair system.

I saw the Lennox display at Costco and talked with the rep there and got preliminary info on their heat pumps for my size home. I then called Waldrop to set up an appt. James showed up promptly and spent approx. 2-3 hrs. answering all my questions and concerns and giving me the BEST option for my situation. The payment was somewhat complicated due to the heat pump coming from Costco and the installation from Waldrop. The installation went smoothly and the guy's were eager and willing to answer all my questions about how things worked, what to do about maintenance ect. They gave me good info about the filter and when to change it and how to know it needed changing. I talked with several of my neighbors who asked who installed the heat pump and when I told them Waldrop they stated that they knew Waldrop had an excellent reputation. We have been very pleased with the effectiveness of the heat pump and the reduction in our cooling bill. Living in S.C. keeping your home cool is imperative. We would recommend Waldrop to anyone plus we received a $500.00 Costco gift card for having Waldrop do the installation. That reduced the cost of the heat pump considerably. Thanks Waldrop!!!
