Top Turf

This company and their service is awful. I had a fully sodded new yard with Empire Zoysia. In the year and a half of service, they have ruined it. Twice a supervisor has come out and all you get is excuses. This last treatment burnt my yard and along the edges where they missed, it is covered in weeds. They are NOT knowledgeable at all about lawns or chemicals. I suspect they hire whoever walks in off the street because you never get the same person twice. I am now having to replace sod at great expense and find a company who knows what they are doing. If I was lawsuit inclined, I would sue them. My camera tells it all. Save your money and your lawn!!

The seed that the provider spread contained more weeds than I have ever seen in a seed job. When seeding the yard myself, I have used Rebel blends in the past and have had a few weeds, but this was LOADED with weeds. When the provider came out to apply weed killer for the first time, they did it on a rainy day. A small portion of the weeds died, but most survived. We had to call the provider to come out again. On the last application (the third application), my wife explicitly asked whether it was OK for them to apply more chemicals to the lawn since not much time had passed since the last application. The technician assured us that it was OK. He applied nitrogen, weed killer, and pre-emergent. Twelve days later, much of the grass is dying. The provider claims that it may be our fault because of our dogs and our mowing height (we have always had dogs and always mowed our own fescue lawns and not had a problem in the past). Some of the dying grass sits outside our underground fence, which the dogs can't get to--that fact escaped the provider, I guess. The provider shows no signs of trying to correct the mess that they have made and is unresponsive when we call. For a company that is supposed to specialize in lawn care, the number of things that have gone wrong is ridiculous. We would definitely not recommend them to anyone. They have ruined our lawn and since they doused it with pre-emergent, we can't do much about it for the rest of the summer short of sodding it.

Everything went great! So far everything looks good.

We have been struggling with our maple trees and spider mites for a few years. At first we sprayed the trees ourselves with no luck, so we turned to Top Turf. The trees actually started to look better. I always watch for signs of these damaging insects. A few weeks ago I noticed the leaves on the trees were getting lighter in color which is a sign the spider mites were back. On June 13, 2014 the person that treats the trees came to spray. I ran out to show him the underside of the leaf and to ask him what could be eating the lower branches of this particular tree. He became very insulting, disrespectful and nasty toward me. I immediately walked away and wondered what kind of job would he do if he felt that way. At this point we cancelled our tree service and would never use them again.

I have never used a Lawn Care Service before because my wife and I had always maintained our property. We did our own mowing, trimming, fertilizing, year round weed control, etc. Now that we're getting up there age wise, we've found ourselves doing less of the yard work and hiring others to maintain our property. We purchased a newly built home in 2012 and after moving in, we had various Lawn Care companies knocking on our door with promises of keeping our lawn green and weed free. I collected many business cards and brochures describing the various companies and services offered, which were filed away for future reference. A few months later, after noticing many brown spots and a ton of weeds in my grass, I turned to Angie's List to vet out all the companies that had previously left me brochures; Top Turf of Greenville won out. We've used Top Turf for the past year and a half, and have been very pleased with their service. Our yard looks great, and we have found their services to be very reasonably priced. They even offer a 5% discount if you prepay for annual service, which we did. Highly recommended!

. We had been happy with another lawn service for years but made the mistake of switching to Top Turf to save a little money and because we found them on Angie's List. The initial consultation was fast, professional, and informative. The office staff were always very pleasant. However, we were disappointed with the yard treatment service and cancelled our contract after 4 treatments. A manager came out to look at the weeds growing all over our yard and the dead grass spots. He said the weeds were another type of and quot;fescueand quot; and that he could get rid of it but it would kill our and quot;goodand quot; fescue also. So we're stuck with that for the entire summer. As for the dead grass spots, he said it looked like the guy sprayed too much weed killer on them. Fescue does not spread and so we're now stuck with these ugly bald spots also. We suggested they provide additional training for their employees and cancelled our contract.

Fast, professional, informative response with initial consultation and the office staff were always very pleasant. However, we were disappointed with yard treatment service and cancelled our contract just prior to completion of six month contact.

They were very cordial. They will response to callbacks. If I have questions, they would come and rectify it. I don't have any negative to say about them. They call before they come out. I talked to the owner and they were very respectful. He was pretty good. Their price was reasonable. They are very timely.

I used Top Turf years ago when I lived in the area before so I decided to hire them when I relocated to the area again. They arrived on time for my estimate and for my initial lawn treatment. I have only had one treatment so far and am waiting to see the results.

I like that they're locally owned and operated which makes them easy to get a hold off. Their price is also competitive to national chains.

Top Turf they always they let me know before they are coming. If you have pets you are not supposed to let them out after they treat. I don't have pets right now but I used to. They always call to let you know so that you let your pets out in the yard until they come. It's always good. I haven't had any problems with them. They always leave their phone number and instructions not to water the yard after the treatment. And anything I have to do like getting the leaves done or cutting back some of my trees, and mulch on my trees. Their pricing is reasonable.

The experience has been fine. The lawn looks good. I never had any problems with them.

Prior to signing up with Top Turf, I used a national chain for my lawn fertilization and weed control. The results are dramatically better with TopTurf and I've used them for about a year and a half now. Prices are competitive, if not slightly better than the national chain, I've never had a problem, with the service, they show-up when they say they will and get the job done. Will continue to be a customer.

They know their stuff, and they work very closely with us. We couldn't be happier. They treat our lawn just like theirs even though our lawn is much worth than theirs is.

It's a seven step program throughout the year. They are living up to promises that they have made. I am very happy with the customer service when I had a slight problem, and the owner called to make sure that I was happy with the service I was getting. I will continue to use them in the future.

The experience has been very good. Actually, my treatment this month was free. After so many treatments, they give me one for free. I would recommend them. They are reasonably priced, good, and come out once a month without calling us. Their price is very good because I used a competitor and it was $120 for the same treatment. They are very good, they usually call and leave a message on my answering machine the day before they come out to let me know they are coming out. They always leave instructions on whether to water or walk on the lawn after a treatment. They are very professional.

This has been one disappointment after another. They have managed to take care of the "easy" problems, the weed prevention that anyone can perform with products from the local home and garden store. The grass has not thickened up at all to this point and I have to constantly call them back out to treat for weeds that should not be there at this point. I hear comments like, "...these fall into the hard to kill category". That's why I hired you! The yard looks no better than when they started and looks worse that at this time last year. During spot treatment, they have burned places in the yard. They claimed at first it was simply discoloration, but when I insisted they come out and look, they agreed it was "burned". We are still having them come out, but not paying them for any more of the trips until they start controlling the weeds and the lawn starts looking better.
