Description of Work: SK builders has horrible service and uses poor quality materials in building their houses. If you have a problem, it takes a week to talk with the person in charge. I would not recommend SK builders!

+ -1 moreWhat our contractor found was that SK had severed the floor joice directly under the toilet in the master bath and also had used non code screws to mount the toilets in both bathrooms! There was no wax residue on the bottom of either toilet therefore neither was ever seated correctly!! But the worst was the master bath toilet had been leaking all this time, the sub flooring was soaked in waste and had warped and had black mold and had to be replaced.!!! Therefore a new floor also had to be installed! I have used BBB and now a lawyer to get compensation and all SK will do is to put in a new joice and claim the leak was past the four year construction guarantee. The insulation insulation was soaked under that area and had to be replaced. I also would like to know how a main joice in that area could escape detection when a new home must be inspected before being sold both by builder and county, and the gruff man SK sent out to inspect the floor all missed the joice that was severed!!! Quite frankly I'd be suspect in letting SK build a doghouse!!!
Description of Work: When we first moved into the new home, built by S K , we had two drain problems in the first week. They failed to remove the the drain knock outs and had also let the sewage pipe from the home to the septic system drop below the septic tank!! These incidents resulted in two back ups of waste in to both bathtubs!! This was minor compared to what happened later. IN approximatley late fall of 2008 we noticed our bathroom floor waqs making noises and we called the S K to come out and see why the floor was squeaking. They sent a rather grumpy man to take a look and after a very short ionspection he claimed there was nothing wrong and the floor int the main bath was " solid as a rock". Then in the fall of 2010 the floor had to bubble up so badly we called a contractor to take a look.

+ -1 moreWe contracted with SK Builders, Inc. to build a custom floorplan on some land that we owned. They gave us a very good price and recommended some great loan brokers. Work began immediately. The entire building process has gone very smoothly. We have been happy with the quality of all of the work, the cleanliness of the site, and the thoroughness of our jobsite supervisor. The home was completed in 3 months. They offer an in house warranty program and wil send a warranty rep. to our house 30 days after closing to complete a punchlist and 1 yr after closing to complete a punchlist.
