(July 15, 2024) Hello Folks, Scott here. Thanks for visiting my profile. I look fwd to hearing from you for any of your household beautification projects. while we specialize in kitchen/ bath remodels. Our capabilities go far beyond, with some limitations. I'm not a fan of the term "Jack of all trades" but there isn't much I can't do for a home, with full integrity and pride in workmanship. As well as dependability. I don't use industry standard pricing, I assess and come up with a fair budget that works for both parties. It went very well.
Description of Work: He remodeled kitchen and retrofitted old cabinets. I wanted to give my kitchen an updated look with new countertop, sink, faucet. It also involved cutting down a cabinet and making a door. It was a challenge that not everyone would take on. Scott has a great work ethic. They even worked through lunch. He helped me on a stove problem that was above and beyond what he had to do. The only downside is that he may be booked up for a while and you may have to wait. I thought he had an excellent crew.

Description of Work: Scott and his crew did an amazing job on our deck. They removed an old concrete patio and installed a deck for our hot tub. We were trying to get everything completed before Labor Day weekend and Scott made it happen!! He was in contact with us during the project and kept us updated on material and labor costs and discussed options with us. My husband and I both would highly recommend Precise (Scott) to anyone. For my husband to be satisfied with this project is a huge compliment - he is a global quality engineer and DOES NOT MISS A THING!!! Thank you to Scott and the crew at Precise!!! We will see you again soon :-)

Description of Work: Very disappointed. Had a meeting with provider but like other people have posted absolutely no follow through. He is honest at saying that he picks and chooses his jobs. Guess We did not make the pick.

Sorry [member name removed], did not intend to neglect you. My schedule has been crazy busy and I had every intention of fitting you in. Its just that I have been overwhelmed with calls and project requests. Having a very hard time keeping up with demand, with my small crew and other capable employees have proven to be nearly impossible to find. I will not jeopardize my quality of work, just to satisfy everyone. Yours, is an interesting project and Id still be happy to assist you. A simple reminder text or call would have likely prompted and better result. I do again apologize for my neglect.

Description of Work: My first experience on Angie's List was with Precise Repair. Scott (owner) confirmed an appointment for Monday, March 2 @ 5:00. He was a no show - no call. I also sent two texts when he did not show. He did not respond. I am not sure if he uses text. If he did not want to bid on the services,he should have not made the appointment. Hopefully, he did not have an emergency - that would be the only thing that could have happened to change my opinion.

I had a busy day tht Monday and the appt did slip my mind. She did text the next day and I did reply, I apologized to her and she was somewhat terse with me and said that she had another contractor scheduled. It was merely an over site and I feel bad about it but, some people dont understand that they are not the only ones I work for. I hope she is able to find other competent help and her needs are met.

Description of Work: We had a little bit of trouble getting started, but with the awful weather in Illinois, it can be expected. Scott and his crew were very professional and did a really good job installing a new back door at my Mother's home, it looks great! I will use him again.

Description of Work: Scott came out two days in a row to find the source of water damage in our home and give me an accurate estimate. He and his crew quickly fixed the problem inside--ripping out damaged drywall, treating the area to prevent mildew growth, and repairing the wall; and outside--locating the source of the leak (poorly installed shingles), and repairing it. We will definitely be using this company again.

We really needed to update the bathroom off our master bedroom. We looked on Angie's list and Precise Repair & Remodel had good reviews. I called to get an estimate and Scott Wright (the owner) came over the next day. He listened to our ideas, made some suggestions and came back with an estimate that seemed very fair. It actually left us with enough in the budget to get better quality fixtures. The old bathroom was too small. Scott worked with us on a plan that gave us a much roomier bath. His team put up plastic barriers so that the dust wasn't too bad in the bedroom. After the demolition phase, Scott took the time to review the plan with us and we made a couple of changes. He took this in stride -- without suggesting that we had to revisit the budget. I mentioned his team earlier. My family has insisted that I should make a point in this review of pointing out how polite and professional everyone associated with Precise Repair & Remodel was. Over the course of the 3 weeks it took to get the work done, they respected our home and took pride in how they cleaned up as they worked. Our communication with Scott was frequent and he kept us up-to-date with the progress of the project. The final result is a bathroom my wife and I really enjoy. The workmanship is excellent and the attention to detail is apparent. I will definitely be working with this company again.
Description of Work: Bathroom for master bedroom was too small, dated and damp. Scott completely remodeled the bathroom, including enlarging it, replacing a window, putting in all new fixtures and shower enclosure. Complete reconstruction and modernizing of the bathroom. Detailed list: Tore out walls, ceiling and floor of old bath. Expanded space with new walls. Installed new window. Installed vent fan, new toilet, new vanity/sink.* Rerouted plumbing as needed. Additional and relocated GFI electrical outlets. Installed large shower enclosure w/ glass doors and grab bars.* Installed new, wider, bathroom door. Installed new floor and ceramic tile. New drywall. Paint and trim. *Items my wife and I selected and bought separately (not included in price).

I had hired a contractor and I wasn’t happy with the job that he was doing so Scott came and fixed it for me. His friendliness and professionalism was excellent. The price was very fair. It would have been easier if he had started from scratch so he had a lot of repair work to be done. Anytime I have something like this to be done, I’ll be calling Scott. He is excellent and his price is fair too. He does extraordinary work. He’s a kind of guy who can be left alone in the house. He’s very trustworthy. No one will be displeased using Scott. The quality of work is excellent. He’s really busy, but he’s very responsive. He always showed up when he said he would and if he couldn’t he called and kept me informed. His professionalism is great. There isn’t anything bad to say about this guy. He knows what he’s doing and does it very efficiently. I was very happy with him. I plan to use him again in the future.
Description of Work: I used the services of Precise Repair & Remodel about a month ago. They remodeled my basement into 4 different rooms, a bathroom, closet, walk-in pantry and a man cave. They finished the dry wall as well.

The quality of work is great. The drywall was good and he built us a bar that looks nice. The door that he had made for the entertainment area looks great as well. We enjoy the mosaic tile that he put on our fireplace. The main issue was the length of time it took to complete the project. He was over a month off of the deadline we originally gave him and that was with us completing portions of the work as well as a friend of ours. He had several other jobs and often times wouldn't show up a week at a time. He also didn't clean up after himself and left trash in work space.
Description of Work: We had paneling and tile ceiling in our basement with original windows in our 1969 home. He drywalled the whole area and connected the pot lights that we installed. He built a custom bar and laid ceramic tile for the counter and did some of the trim. He made custom access doors for the water valve and our entertainment area. He also did tile work on our fireplace and installed the mantel we purchase.

Great young couple. Though they apparently have the communication issue. The Miss' filled out this report and I had all my communications with the Mr., I kept him informed of all my intentions and he never expressed disappointment in anyway. He also apparently didnt relay all of our decisions to his wife. The couple times I was away from their job for a week was becuz the project was at a point of waiting for them to accomplish certain tasks, then I returned to do further work. I appreciate that they rated my pricing and quality well, but I am greatly offended that she said I left the jobsite dirty. The last half hour to an hour of each day is spent tidying up on any job we work on. The mess she speaks of would have to be the husband after doing his evening projects, I often tidied up in the morning b4 beginning work. As far as the communication part, there were several times that I called on Mr. Harris and got no answer or response to a voicemail. I also dont recall missing any calls from him. The scope of work we performed was quite more lengthy than she describes and they now have a very beautiful entertainment area, with many custom touches and high end finishes, without the high end price. Im also disappointed at the fact she checked No, as far as a rehire. Upon receiving a final check from Mr. Harris, we discussed doing another project for him in the spring. More communication breakdown I suppose. Overall, they were pleasant to work with, aside of indecisiveness and lack of knowledge of the construction process.

He has been in for 4 days. His work is unbelievable. As far as his performance goes, I am seriously at loss of words. I don?t know what to say about the guy other than he is the best. He is ripping down all the walls in the kitchen. He is repairing any studs if need maybe and is placing new drywall. He has also removed all of the kitchen cabinets and he replacing them with brand new ones that I had purchased. He is also putting in a stainless steel range hood. He is also closing a portion of the kitchen that was open and currently he is framing a bar. He basically pulled the basement; frame and all and is replacing that with a new door and a new frame. The guy is just super and there is nothing bad to say about this guy. He is at work everyday at 8 o?clock. The guy is exceptional.

He stands by his work. He had installed a shower for me and there was a problem and he came out right away to fix the problem. He is going to be doing more work for me this winter!
Description of Work: He built a shower and remodeled the bathroom. They also did drywall work. But they also installed a fence ($4000), and various other tasks I have needed help with.
