A/C Medic Upstate

This review is for Eric of the AC Medic in Greer on Celestial Road, he is related to the owner of this other location in Greer, so it's the same company. I called Eric on a Friday to schedule an appointment to have him take a look at my air conditioner that wasn't working properly. I figured it was better to call ahead of time to schedule an appointment, especially since it's summer time and their busy season...boy, was I wrong. We set the appointment for that following Wednesday at 10am. 10am that Wednesday rolls around and Eric is nowhere to be found nor did he call. I texted him at 10:10am (our last communication was via text when I sent him my address) asking if we were still on and received this response, "Lol....seeing as how it is 10:10 now...No...I'm sorry I've been working until 9am every night playing catch up. I can come around 11am." Since I didn't want to find another company and have to wait for another appointment, I told him that was ok. Obviously he must have forgotten about the appointment which I find very unprofessional especially when he had all my information saved in a text (name, address, and DATE of appointment). I guess if I hadn't texted him he wouldn't have shown up or even called, he just forgot about me. 11am comes around and he's still nowhere to be found. He sent me a couple texts after 11am letting me know he was on his way and he eventually arrived at 11:30, an hour and half late. He offered no apology whatsoever and no discount off the service fee, I still had to pay the full amount. He diagnosed the problem and quoted me a price. I told him I would get back to him. I called him later that day, at 2:45pm saying I would go with him and asking when we could schedule him to come back and do the work. Keep in mind when he was at my home, he told me he could do the work next day. When I called, he said he'd have to call me back to let me know when he could come. He never called back. The next day, I texted him asking when we could schedule the work to be done. He said "Possibly tomorrow...might have to do Saturday." Obviously this text was not unclear so I told him I was only available after 5pm on those days due to work. He responded, "Ouch." I told him my next days off were the following Monday and Tuesday and he said either day was fine. I said 10am on Monday would work and he said he'd have to get back to me AGAIN in "one sec." This of course being right after he said "either day is fine." Needless to say he never got back to me. I think it's really unprofessionally to not get back to someone who has called you and texted you multiple times WANTING to spend money (almost $1,000!) for your work. I was trying to give him my business and this was even after he stood me up for the appointment and came an hour and a half later only when I reminded him of the appointment. This was terrible customer service and I would never get work done from him if he can't even return a call or text or be remotely on time. I really disappointed too because the whole reason I picked the company was because they had good reviews online.

AC medic came out and looked at the air conditioning unit and gave me a free estimate to repair the cooling system. There were two other air conditioning companies that came out previously, they said the air conditioner could not be repaired. They said it would need to be replaced the cost would be about $3500. The air-conditioning unit is only about nine years of age. AC medic upstate came out and did a great job at a very reasonable price of ($950.00). AC medic upstate save me a whole lot of money. They are very honest and fair. The air-conditioning system is working better than new.

They did a great job and were on time. They do what they say they will do and I will use them again in the future.

Very impressed with AC Medic. I have called Stu when I have had issues with HVAC at a couple rental units this summer. Both my tenants and I were happy with the service and cost.

It was a one service call where they have a special truck that carries all there parts so they did not have to make a second trip like other companies do that boost up the bill.In the end they had my ac working perfectly and the price was very low for the amount of work they had to do!
