We were contemplating replacing all of our wood windows (38 total) with low-maintenance, energy-efficient vinyl/aluminum windows. Asked Taylors to do an estimate and they set up an appointment within a couple days. The estimate appointment was very professional, efficient and most importantly no high-pressure sales tactics were used. In the end the estimate was a smidge above what I would have expected, but gave us the information that we needed in budgeting for the home improvement for the future. When it comes time, I'm sure we'll be using Taylors for this project.

We were pleased with the professionalism of the sales and installation of these windows. The team who installed our first set of windows was the same team who installed subsequent windows. This team had worked together for over 10 years at the time, so they were very efficient. There were no unexpected "surprises" with the cost or installation.

the contractors did a good job I guess. but it amazed me at how they just ripped out the old window including the surrounding part of the window. no wonder they had to cap the sides of the windows with aluminum siding they way they ripped up the wood. However the finished product look very nice. Also I thought they were kind of expensive. Lastly although the contractors were very good the office staff was unorganized. I told the office lady that I would not be home for the install until later and would leave a key for them in a special place. well she never told them about the key. Fortunately I got home early because the guys were waiting around for me to show up. anyway overall the job was satisfactory.

Not too bad. It got done in a timely manner. Installers weren't the pros I had hoped and paid for...nice guys, though. Windows are great along wih the trim wrapping. They are good at that. The siding looked good the day it was installed. The weekend after we had heavy rains. The water was coming off the roof and running behind the facia and pouring out of the soffit. They hadn't installed flashing under the shingles for runoff, nor a drip edge. I notified them of this and they came out and fixed it well. Yesterday the siding started popping off the side of the house. It appears they hadn't installed proper spacing between the segments to compensate for the cold temperature that the installation was taking place in (30's). It is only 60 degrees now and the vinyl is getting very wavy and falling off. I am sending an email to them with pics today and hope they come fix it like they did the roof edging. Front door is ok but I think my buddies and I could have done the same thing except for the trim wrap.

I called another local window company and they quoted me twice the price that Taylors Window did because they wanted to replace the windows, frames and everything. Taylors Window came in gave me a very reasonable quote to just replace the cloudy glass packs, while retaining the existing frames. All their work has a lifetime guarantee. And Charles, the point of contact in their repair group, was extremely responsive and very helpful.

They were well dressed, well spoken. They cleaned up after themselves. One window was missing from our order, they apologized and didn't ask for payment until they found. I thought they were very professional.

The finished product was excellent. I'm satisfied I got the best windows from the four companies who bid the job. Taylor was not the cheapest but competitive. The work was done promptly (less than a full day). Window openings had to be cut to accept the new windows. Some of the plastic used to catch sawdust came loose at the bottom of the opening allowing an abundance of sawdust come into the kitchen window over the sink. My wife quickly placed a beach towel across the sink to catch the sawdust. They did vacuum under each window on completion and cleaned up the mess. My greatest disappointment came when the crew leader asked me to make a decision to re-install our shutters or leave them down. The problem was my home is covered with vinyl siding and the width of the new windows was not wide enough to butt the shutters up to the new window and also hide screw holes on the outside of each shutter. The old shutters were 15" wide. The new ones I had to special order were 16" wide. That one inch in width more than doubled the price of the new shutters because they had to be special made. The price of the new shutters and hiring a contractor to install them cost me almost another thousand dollars - so instead of the original price quoted ($6500 I now had just under $7500 in replacing the windows. Here is my concern. My house could not have been the first house Taylors replaced windows in that had vinyl siding, so I contend they should have been able to tell me what was going to happen due to the width of their windows. I voiced my concerns to the salesman and he said he would forward the information to the crew that did the installation. A few days later I was contacted by the crew leader via telephone and he apologized for the sawdust and I gladly accepted his apology. I have yet to hear from anyone with Taylors Window and Screen about the extra money I had to spend to complete the job. I didn't ask for any financial help from them but it sure would have been a professional plus to have at least heard from their management regarding the surprise I was confronted with concerning the new shutters. I hope I have adequately explained my overall "B" for the entire job, the two "C's" for price and responsiveness, the two "A's" for quality and punctuality, and lastly, the "B" on professionalism. Again, the finished product was super nice but I went into detail so as to help other folks with vinyl sided homes to be able to ask the right questions "pre installation." I wish I had had the experience to inquire. Between a salesman and a man who precisely measured the old windows, one or the other should have known there would be exposed screw holes in the siding and could have given me a heads up on the possible need to replace the shutters. I waited over three weeks to see if I would hear from Taylors management but have not. It makes me wonder if the right people there are even aware of my concern and if they are, they apparently don't care.

It goes without saying that we did not have any work done by this outfit.

They were excellent. They provided exactly the service they seaid they were going to. The finished product was excellent and their work was very efficient. The installers were courteous and helpful

We were updating a home to sell it and a couple windows required replacing immediately. After looking at it we decided it would be best to replace all the old wood windows, as many were rotting on the outside. We called several local window dealers, but were on a tight deadline, as we were only in town for only a week. Taylors was the most responsive of all that we called and their pricing was reasonable. Paul was quick to come out and meet us at a convenient time, and was able to give us a price on the spot. We signed the contract that day. He told us it would take several weeks for the windows to be built, as they are built to order there in SC. We also liked dealing with a company that employs local people. Paul couldn't have been more friendly, professional and accommodating. Since we lived out of town the windows were installed with nobody there. This was a concern for us but Paul was so professional we felt it would be handled appropriately. A week after it was completed I came to check the work and Paul very graciously made time in his schedule to meet me the one afternoon I could be there. I was very impressed with the quality of the windows and of the installation. The wrapped trim looked beautiful. I wished we had done it years ago when we were living there! We noticed one screen was not fitting correctly, there was a slight bow. Paul volunteered to have another screen built, and said he would bring it out and put it in himself. There are probably cheaper windows on the market, but not at this quality, and definitely not with this quality service and installation. I proudly recommend Paul, and Taylors to anyone in the area, and only wish that Taylors sold windows where we live now!

Taylors Window & Screen Inc. were very impressive. I liked them. Their prices were a little higher than the company we went with. Their quality was at least equal. We just went with the lesser quote. They were excellent. They were friendly. They were prompt. They were very informative. Certainly, the product was of good quality. They were very professional and seemed to know their product well. They gave lots of information.

We were trying to get this done in a very systematic way with some other exterior work. The installers were excellent and the quality of the windows is fine. It was not the smoothest coordination. They required a 50% deposit upfront. It was longer than anticipated before they delivered the windows. For cases like this I would have liked to put this on a credit card since it is an outstanding amount of time. We had to check with them multiple times to check on the status of when the windows were arriving and the installation would happen. I just felt they could tighten up some of their systems.

Took a long time for the windows to be made but they worked with me in getting them installed at my convenience. The main installer was very good and didn't mind me asking questions and took time to do the job right. The price was fine but was one price regardless of size. I have a very small window and the one price for any size put me off doing one whole side of the house.

The product I need was ordered and will be delivered well within my time table. Nice to be able to work with a local manufacturer. I highly recommend Taylors Window and Screen.

.Over all a good experience. Prompt response to our request for a in home demonstration their windows and doors. Price quoted was in line with competitor pricing. Locale construction was a selling plus. Arrived on time on scheduled day for project. Forman answered any of my questions or concerns as the project was completed. Cleaned up all construction materials and wanted to insure I was satisfied before leaving.

Removed old windows no problem had a problem installing new windows but they worked it out perfectly. Very professional. Waited to complete survey until now. No leaks no problems great company.

I went to Taylors Window & Screen Inc. and was able to examine all the products. They had a room for you to examine the products. That's what made the decision. Because they couldn't bring a replacement sliding glass door and he couldn't bring it to the demonstration. They told me about it, but I went to the actual store and actually saw it and worked with the sliding glass door. I got hands on. They beat their competitor. The workmen were very good. They wouldn't take lunch breaks. They cleaned up. I couldn't give a complaint. They worked the whole time. They were very polite.

The windows were delivered within the timeframe expected, the installation was done in three days, and all of the work was completed in a professional manner. The exterior wrapping was neatly done and even the palladian windows look great.

Company came out for an estimate..Spent couple of hours reviewing needed window replacement.....An estimate was NEVER received......On to another company.

can't feel a temperature difference from the sun at all. The windows are also beautiful. We could not afford to replace all the windows in the house at once, but Taylors lets you order a few at a time, so over the next year or two, we will continue to use them to replace all the windows in the house. We are very happy with our purchase.

They did a good job. They were in and out very quickly. I think they had most of the windows done in one day. There was an issue with one window and they came out and fixed it the next day.

A contractor friend of mine referred me to taylors and I am glad he did. Chris was fantastic in sales and the product was excellent. I went with their Platinum line double hung since it was only $170 per window (Lowes and HD charged $140 for a far inferior double hung). And I was very happy with the quality and tightness of the platinum window. I also like the fact that they actually honor their lifetime warranty and are local, so if I have a question or issue they are out here right away with one of their own guys. I even broke one of the windows when i was unloading them from my truck, it was 100% my fault it broke. I called Taylors and Chris set me up with a brand new replacement glass for that broken window, NO CHARGE! I was floored by that, but Chris said everyone was entitled to one free bo-bo when installing, but after that they do charge for broken ones. That one gift from Chris made up the difference between the HD window and Taylors. You can bet HD wouldn't replace a window a customer flat out broke on accident. Anyway I bought 18 windows and the house is warmer in the winter and quieter too. We dont hear the neighbors noisy truck or the overhead jets anymore. I have already recommended Taylors to two of my neighbors that are DIY fellas.

Overall, the entire process was painless and professional.

The first call was made in May, 2012 with a request to have someone call to set up an appointment to look at the window. Second call was made in June, 2012 with a similar request as had been made earlier. No one called back either time. I had hoped to have the replacement done during the spring so that I could have all of the windows cleaned at the same time. When I never heard back from them, we were busy with summer visitors and vacations. I waited until the fall as I didn't want to engage a window washing service until after the window had been replaced. When I contacted them via email, we received a phone call from the company. Things went smoothly after that and the replacement was done as scheduled. All windows in our home were replaced in prior years with understanding that they were guaranteed for as long as we owned the home. When three other windows had to be replaced, I was told at that time that the guarantee on those windows was for only 30 years, so I understand that the warranty that applies to those windows is limited to 30 years. The original windows, however, should have been covered by the original warranty. I did not argue with the customer service person about the warranty, but I was surprised to learn that we would be charged for labor as well as the glass when the window was replaced.
