The window sill in my bedroom is rotting out and while I knew it was caused by water, I couldn't tell what the problem was. I had no idea who to call to see about getting it fixed. I called Taylors just as a starting point. The receptionist was incredibly kind and put me in touch with the area sales rep, assuring me he was knowledgeable and a decent guy. She was right on both counts. Paul came out to my house, explained what was likely causing the problem, and made suggestions about getting it fixed. The problem is likely not from the recent rains but condensation from the cheap builder's aluminum windows. Vinyl windows could solve the problem but they're not necessary. He is putting me in touch with someone who can fix the window sill. While I'm likely not going to buy windows within the next year, it will happen eventually, and when it does, it will be with Taylors. I will also recommend them to anyone else looking to replace their windows. Integrity within a business is hard to come by and should absolutely be rewarded.

EVERYTHING WAS DONE AS PROMISED

Very good company to work with, and their custom-made windows and doors are fantastic quality. Every time I reached out with a question about our order, they responded within a day (usually within two hours). They were always punctual and professional. At the initial quote/estimate, the gentleman gave me a very detailed description of their product line. He also was detailed on the work involved to remove and replace the doors and windows in the condo, which we don't think had had any updates since its construction in the early 80s. Taylors manufactures the products to fit, so there was about a month wait between signing the contract and the installation. But, they worked with us to expedite the installation once manufacturing was completed to ensure the job was done before we started moving in to our new home, which we greatly appreciated. The doors and windows look great, and are clearly of a very high quality. We love that the top and bottom window panes can be pivoted inwards to clean both sides of the glass easily, and the easy to use locks and blocks on the windows to prevent our youngster from opening the windows. I highly recommend Taylors, and we will consult them in the future for any similar projects we come up with.

Great job. Did 23 windows in a day and a half and came back two weeks later to install two custom windows. Crew was very efficient, polite, and it was obvious they had worked together as a team for a while. Answered all my questions. The vinyl trim color actually matched our house color pretty closely and we were more than pleased. We immediately noticed how much quieter the house was with the new windows. Great technology. The AC does not seem to run as much. Our first month the electric bill was 24% lower than same month last year with.

I really have to review this almost as if it were two different companies. The technicians and installers were professional, clean, polite, knowledgeable and helpful. I have no complaints about the installers. They worked hard and well together. Got here on time and put in a very full day. They were very respectful and I enjoyed working with them. The windows seem to be of good quality and have been installed successfully. They just finished last week so I can't speak to longevity. Overall, once the installation was underway, it went fairly smoothly. My problem was with the sales/service end. Once the sale was done, we didn't hear from him again and were referred to the office. The salesman misquoted the job because he miscounted the windows. He quoted and promised us a screen for our doors but we found out that was impossible. He ordered the wrong doors and they had to be reordered. The bay windows took longer to order and we weren't told about the delay. When they were in, the installers who do those windows couldn't do them in the initial timeframe so we had to wait two additional weeks. I had to call and ask for adjusted invoices because the initial quotes were wrong and it ended up costing more than we were quoted because of the miscount which we approved in a change order but I still needed them to send an updated invoice. Each time I called the office, we had to retell the story and get an update. We are also quoting for a full siding job. The installers wanted to know why we didn't go with Taylors for the siding and we just didn't feel confident in the sales/service end so we went with another company. So, product and installers were fine. Sales and Service coordination was poor. It was unfortunate because I think with a little attention to detail and better communication - it could have been an overwhelmingly positive experience. As it was, the negatives of the sales/service really detracted from the end result.

It is listed on Angie's List. They did a good job. We had some problems with communication. I had to call them to ask questions and things like that, but the quality of the work was excellent. My interaction with them was good and the sunroom is fine; we love it.

We are very happy with our new windows. Taylors Windows had the best price by almost half over two major competitors.

He came when he said he would, had the windows measured by the company that furnishes them. One of the windows, initially was the wrong size. He had them reorder and it is being installed today.

The person who gave us the quote seemed to be bothered by the fact that we were African-American.

The windows are very well constructed and we noticed a immediate outside noise reduction along with energy savings. In all honesty Taylors Windows would have received an "A" rating but post sales customer services were below expectations. Our main complaint is that the outside window caulking remains "sticky" and requires lifetime home owner cleaning. We were never informed that this is an ongoing common experience without remedy? Recently we received our first customer service followup call after I had already brought the inferior caulking issue to the attention at Taylors Windows Company Representatives at their home location. I again informed the customer care representative who again reaffirmed that although it "was a common complaint" that she would email me information as to how a homeowner should clean and maintain. I have to date not received that information that was so promised. I would have never expected that Taylors Windows would use a problematic caulking product without resolution as a final component to the installation of a premium window series. Job was estimated and we liked the approach by Taylor better than Window World They kept use informed of the fabrication process and the windows were ready about the time expected . The good news ! Unfortunately , now the Bad News . For the record, the installation team did outstanding work and more than covered for the shortcomings of the rest of the organization ! 1) The estimator sent the installer to the site with no additional cedar should the trim wood be damaged/unusable . The house is 27 years old , pretty poor planning on his part and cost us 1 day . He also changed the design of one of the bathroom windows , making it much smaller , but did not inform us . 2) We were then informed that most of the windows delivered were defective and would have to be remade. 3) A 2nd set of windows were delivered 2 days later , but they were also defective . They tried to install screws to make the bottom seam seal but it did not work and really was a poor attempt at a cob job . 4) A 3rd set was delivered a week later and were installed . The president of the company visited the site , informed us that the person who should have qc'ed the windows was on vacation , and no one was their back up . QC was left to the installation foreman ; thank goodness for his professionalism . Job completed in a very long 12 hour day , seem to be working ok 5) Installation was estimated as a long day , more like at least 4 There was and still is a point of confusion/ dissatisfaction about job scope . We were interested in maintaining glass area and our view of the lake . One set of windows was reconfigured to address glass area , the other 2 sets were not he case . If drawings were submitted , there would have been discussion and agreement about glass area. This was pointed out to the salesman as an area that could have ben done better . When the sales manager subsequently asked us if we were satisfied with the job , I informed him of our issues with maintaining glass area . He said he would come out and look at the job , that was 2 months ago . No visit to date , too late now . Ours is an older house --Going Forward , I would ask for drawings of the windows and be clear of what is being proposed , prior to initiating the project . As for the quality issues , the defects were pretty obvious . Better to admit QC issues and not ship defective windows rather than show the customer that quality is not a priority.

I purchased 11 windows from Taylors in 2003. Recently I noticed 2 windows had broken seals. I called Taylors and found I had a life-time warranty. A very professional employee came to my house and measured the windows. Within 3 weeks, I had new windows. I would definitely use this company and recommend it to everyone.

Jason was very polished, very nice, and explained everything very well. He did a great presentation and we've purchased some windows with them and look forward to working with them here soon.

Very responsive during the selling phase. Excellent presentation of the window's features and advantages. About 4 - 6 weeks from order to installation. Installers were efficient and did a good job. However, the windows don't operate as marketed. They're often difficult to lock. and sometimes both the top and bottom portions of the window move simultaneously making closing difficult. To compound matters, I had a problem with one of the windows. After calling customer service repeatedly it took 3 weeks to get someone out to take care of the problem. I purchased Pella windows at the same time for a sunroom. Sincerely wish I had purchased them throughout the house as they were a bit cheaper and I haven't had the problems with them that I have with the Taylors windows. I liked the sales guy, but I won't purchase from Taylors again.

It went perfectly. I came in to their office and spoke with a representative about some custom screens I needed to have made for a few windows in my house. I had brought one of my existing screens as a go by. They were honest right from the start about what they could and couldn't do in regards to matching my existing screen. They showed me an example of what I would be receiving and it fit my needs perfectly so there was no problem. I gave them the dimensions for the screens I needed, paid for them and left. They quoted me a manufacturer time of 10 business days or less and they came in at less. The screens I received fit perfectly and looked great. They will be my go to guys for any screen or window needs I may have in the future.

They came when they said they would and got the job done. They do a good job and were pretty good with their pricing.

We consulted Angie's List when considering replacement for 14 vinyl windows and screens in our home. A number of windows had lost their seal and were allowing heat to come into the house in summer and cold in winter. We contacted Taylors Windows because of their favorable reviews. Paul, the salesman, came promptly for an estimate and gave a very thorough presentation on the features and advantages of Taylors Windows. We ordered replacements and paid half the cost. Took about 7 weeks for the windows to be made at the Greenville factory. The installation crew was on time and did a super job, completing all 14 replacements in less than a day, with careful clean-up inside and out. We paid the remainder of the cost via credit card on the phone that day. Paul came by a couple of weeks later to examine the job and get our input on the work. The Taylors windows are much more sturdy and secure than our old windows and there is virtually no heat transfer this summer. Already we see a decrease in our electricity bill. I am completely satisfied with Taylors Windows in all respects and have no qualms about recommending them. When it's time to replace our exterior doors I will call them again.

Very happy with results. Salesman came on time answered all our questions. Installation was a 8 week wait. The installation guys did a good job. We would hire Taylors again.

On time for both visits. Called in advance of each visit. All done in relatively short period of time from arrival to departure and time between visits was reasonable, based on estimation of time needed to make above items.

After researching on Angie's List, I called Taylors Window and Screen to have someone come out and give an estimate on providing and installing a bay type window in my kitchen. A sales rep came out right away. He seemed very knowledgeable and professional, making suggestions and answering all my questions. I decided that day to go with a garden window, signed the contract, and made a 50% downpayment. A few days later Mr. Herman came out to take the official measurements. Someone gave me an approximate time frame of one month. Four or five weeks later, I had heard nothing. I called and the person I needed to speak with was on break and would return my call. She did not! I called again and she told me she had lost my message on her desk. She said she would find out the status of my order and call me the next day. She did not! Finally, I wrote a letter and, miraculously, I got a call saying the window was ready to be installed. A crew of three came out, did an excellent job of installation and cleanup.The window is beautiful and my experience with all those who came to my home was excellent. Telephone communication with the office staff person/customer service representative was unacceptable b/c on two different occasions she did not follow through on her promises to return my calls.

I obtained estimates from 5 different companies and their estimate was right in the middle. They completed their work on time and I was very pleased with their quality of work. I highly recommend them

After the cold winter, I was eager to have some windows open. After a couple of days of opening and closing 3 of the windows, they would no longer lock. I called Taylor's and the girl told me how to lock the windows. I know how to lock a window. So, they sent the original installer out to take a look and he did something with a heat gun which fixed the problem until about 3 weeks ago. 2 of the 3 windows will not lock again. I called Taylor's and the girl said she'd have to work something out to get the installer out yet again. Several phone calls later back and forth, she committed to him coming today shortly after 4PM. He didn't show up. I am getting mad now and feel this is a security issue and these windows need to be replaced. Oh well, the phone calls resume tomorrow!

Window had moisture on the outside of the top 2 windows. They explained this can happen with low e insulated windows. I checked it on google and found that to be true. They have been very professional and replied promptly to any concerts I have had.

Work was completed in a timely manner. For the first few years we had no problems with the windows. After a few years we noticed that the trim had started to peel. Eventually the trim around all the windows started to peel exposing the aluminum underneath. It took a minimum of 3 attempts with the promise that someone would contact us before someone actually did follow up on our complaint. This was over a period of several years because we made our initial contacts at the home show. When we did get a response from Taylor's, it came in the form of a certified letter from the company that provided the defective product. Because of the length of time, we were only eligible for 75% of the original cost. Of course we have to take their word for what they say is the actual cost since that information was not provided in the original estimate (it was a total job estimate). Then we get a letter from Taylor outlining the scope of work to remove and replace the window trim. Their charge for fixing this problem is a shocking $1170.00! They also want us to sign an agreement absolving them of any additional claims. The windows are "backed by a lifetime warranty" but apparently that does not extend to the exterior trim -- which, of course, was not made clear to us at the time we agreed to pay $7,100.00 for the complete window package. Very, very disappointing! A company's claim to fame is only as good as the materials they use and the way they stand behind their product and workmanship.

It has been one year since I had my new windows installed they did a very professional job and I am very satisfied with the cost and the efficiency of the new windows, not only do they improve the looks of my home but they also save me money :) we are very happy customer.
