Description of Work: Replaced all windows on home. Once we signed contract, said they would schedule service within 6-8 weeks. After about 10 weeks we had to call them to find out when they were going to follow-through.

Description of Work: Replaced patio door: Our current sliding patio door had rotted out in the corners there was also water damage inside our house on the molding and drywall, so we suspected the door was broken. | |Aug 2013, a Taylor's rep came to our house and helped us pick a new door, French style and out-swing, so we could have more room in our dining are. | |Oct 2013, during the install, they pointed out the "j-channel" trim on the siding wasn't installed properly at the corners and said that was the reason so much water was getting in. The installer said he had extra trim in his van and he would replace it correctly to prevent the new door from also being damaged. However, after the door was installed he showed me he didn't replace it but instead filled it with a bunch a silicone! I was so disappointed. I should've said something, but they were all packed up and I felt rushed. When the installation estimate was drawn up we didn't know all the details so just I expected an extra fee, which would've been fine. That would've been preferred to the silicone hack which went against what we discussed. | |June 2014 (8 months later) I noticed the hinges outside were rusting all over and there was about 1.5" of mold in the inner corner of the door! A rep came to look and said we shouldn't have gotten a fiberglass door but rather a metal door because fiberglass had a wooden frame. Even though I had painted it properly as instructed that would happen because there was so much rain and also an out-swing was prone to that because we didn't have a patio cover. I told him when we picked the door, the rep never told us anything about there being a wood frame or any better options regarding the weather, that was the whole reason we wanted to use a company, they were the door experts not us. He just shrugged and said that it probably wasn't going to be covered under their warranty. He replaced the hinges and put a rubber piece on the bottom edge of the door to help keep water out. He said the hinges weren't meant to be on an out-swing!! Later, I realized the cheap weather stripping they put in the door was cut blunt on that corner and the foam inside it was sucking up water and holding it there. Seems like that never should've been put on an out-swing door either. What quality! They called back later and said they wouldn't cover replacing the door. We will never use this company for anything. Their reps don't know the basics for helping people choose the right product for their needs and they didn't care to help us, even though we feel we were not advised correctly.

Description of Work: Replace old double hung windows with new ones. I was very pleased with every aspect of Taylor's and would use them again.

Description of Work: Price and quality were great! Job was done very well. There was a delay in getting the glass and this was not communicated to me until I called them. Job was supposed to be scheduled in about 2 weeks but I had not heard anything from them for about a month. This was just part of a bathroom remodel and ended up being scheduled while I was out of town and I had to get a relative to come over while they did the installation. I prefer to personally oversee any work done to my home. I probably would use this company again but I would take the initiative to keep in constant contact wih them.

Description of Work: I had windows installed several years ago and called them back had my front and back doors replaced by Taylors Window and Screens. I found their service and personnel to be very professional, courteous and responsive. |The windows were installed in a days time and the cleanup was great. You would not have known that anyone had been there after they left. |There were several issues with the lock on the front door and each time I called the office, Emily was responsive and understanding and had it taken care of each time until the problem was finally corrected. |I would definitely use Taylors Windows and Screens again and I have several of my friends have used them based on my recommendation

Description of Work: We have used this very fine company several times for our own house and for the rental house. The most recent (a couple of years or so ago) was for the rental house. They replaced 3 very oddly shaped existing windows. They had to custom-make new ones to fit the window openings. They are fast, efficient, grand, marvelous, and wonderful. In previous years they replaced all the (odd-sized) windows in our house and added our very wonderful sun room/den which we enjoy every day. I would like to have them come more often and replace every window in the rental house. This would be more expensive than we can afford right now, but we can dream, at least. Their prices are as good as they can be for the wonderful service and products they provide. Their sales person, Marvin, who comes to do the estimate seems like a good friend you have known all your life. You will love him, too. P.S. He enjoys fresh, warm muffins or cookies straight from the oven with coffee while you visit/talk. As you can tell, we love this company.
