Storm Team Construction, Inc.

This is a follow up to my April review of Storm Team. They are still not finished with the work they started on my in-laws' home months ago. They have had a revolving band of idiots attempt repairs, only to have them screw it up again, so that another band of knuckleheads can attempt the same repair. They have broken a large window on the front of the house when simply trying to replace a coupe of panes of glass and the glazing. All of this could be blamed on the incompetent workers they have hired, but the "supervisors" and "managers" who take turns pointing fingers at everyone else are just as hapless and as dishonest as any band of Irish Travelers. In fact, the Irish Travelers wouldn't have them, as this crowd would give them a bad reputation with the rest of the grifter community from which they would never recover. I worked for a lot of years with some outstanding homebuilders and continue to work with some outstanding suppliers to homebuilders, so I know what a competent, skilled and honest contractor can accomplish. There guys aren't qualified to clean their toilets, much less repair anything. Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.

Storm Team was contracted to repair and replace our roof as the result of hail damage, and to do the same for my in-laws along with related repairs due to hail damage. Storm Team did a terrible job of communicating the work schedule for both jobs and did not provide adequate notice of when work would begin. They did not adequately supervise the projects while they were ongoing and did a TERRIBLE job of clean-up afterward. It has been months now, and I am still finding nails in the driveway, parking area and around the house. We just discovered a ridiculously shabby repair on a gable transition that looks like a four year old completed it. They did no post-repair inspection with us. On my in-laws'house, it is impossible to remember all of the incompetence that Storm Team exhibited. They contracted to repair and repaint the back deck and a long wooden wheelchair ramp that leads to the house, as well as windows and siding. The personnel they assigned to the task were incompetent and never worked a full day. My wife has had to constantly call and complain to upper management to try and get the work complete, and yet, MONTHS later, they are still not done. My in-laws are disabled and unable to coordinate this work, and finds this whole process to be a stressful ordeal. Storm team simply does not care. The General Manager knows all of this and yet has not exhibited any urgency or professionalism in response to repeated complaints and requests to get the work done. I wouldn't hire these people to bury roadkill, for fear they would find a way to screw that up and we would end up with zombie animals on our doorstep. If you consider hiring these people, do yourself a favor and smash your toes with a sledgehammer - it will feel the same and save you a lot of money and stress.

Horrible, storm Team failed to endorce a check that was given to them from our Insurance company that they were to mail to our Mortage company for their enforcement, this happened three times and Storm Team refused to replace my roof until they received payment.. that they were the root cause for the check not able to be cashed, 3 months later I still need a new roof and was forced to go to another contractor (gladly) now we’re being harassed by storm team for firing them? By definition they quite, right?
