The quote came in very close to the insurance company's appraiser to replace a hail-damaged roof, so I proceeded with them. They removed the roof and replaced it in a single day - this is good to avoid a partial roof job sitting overnight exposed to a possible rain storm. The finished job looked very neat, and the house surroundings were very clean when they left. There was a scratch on the white roof trim from a ladder, but they painted this to correct. I checked the attic area extensively after rains, but haven't seen any leaks.

The initial roof replacement went well, part of the orginal roof was tin, they completly remove it and replaced with shingles. Our problems started with the first good rain, the leaks were many and extreme. They came out several times, at anytime, unannounced and on the roof, but the leaks continued. Eventually, the leaks became less over the next yr., they did come in and try to cosmetically repair the ceiling in a 45 min. session, (this includes travel time to Lowe's for material). Over the past three yrs. the leaks have continued, but not as bad as in the first yr. after replacement. At one point during the first yr. after replacement, I went to their store front office to confront them face to face, they were very rude, evasive and surprised, I left with the satisfaction of them knowing that they could hide, for awhile, but not forever. And within the next wk., following my surprise visit, they did show up, again. Completly dissatisfied with RC Jones Roofing, will never use them again.

Replaced the roof and installed a new roof (plywood down with shingles). We have had nothing but leaks and ceiling damage ever since the replacement. Reported leaks to R.C. Jones Co. ever time, most of the reports were ignored. Finally, when getting close to the one year warranty to expire and they had not repaired the leaks, I stopped in their office, took them by surprise, and it was an attitude of brushing me off again. They did send out their people several times supposed to fix the leaks. They would show up unannounced, all of a sudden I would hear people on the roof, and of course they didn't speak English. After my visit to their office, they finally made an effort to repair the leaks and fix the ceiling damage. As of today, it has been two years since the roof replacement and we have severe leaks over the porch. This Co. was a nightmare, all the fears you have about such an transaction happened. All I can do is to warn others.

We got 4 estimates to replace shingles on a 2400-sq.ft house(30 sq.). Davis Contracting:$5250;Crow roofing: $5276; B&F Roofing:$7000;RC Jones:$6000. We chose RCJones, as the middle bid, and also b/c there were some rotten fascia boards that needed replacing, so we thought a contractor would be better able to address this. (These repairs were NOT included in the roofing price.) The salesman, Brad, was very thorough, polite, and patient. I was having trouble deciding on a color, and he came over several times to bring samples and to quote prices on other jobs. When we finally decided to do only the roof, he was not pushy. (If you have several projects, this is really something to consider--contractors are not too keen to schedule around another company. Even knowing that it would be better to fix the fascia first, RCJones started work immediately on the roof, not giving us a chance to contact the carpenter..) The crew was very hard-working. They worked a 14-hr day and a 12-hr day to finish the job in 2 days. They spread a tarp to catch all the debris.(The crew was completely oblivious to plants. They broke a rose bush, trampled daylillies, smashed amaryllis, and shattered a flowerpot.The supervisor said this is to be expected.) The basic job was done well. However, the roof has several tricky places that the salesman was aware of and since his price was $700 more than 2 others', he assured us that those areas would be done correctly. Well, they weren't. There was never a supervisor on the site, so someone had to come the next day and fix all the bad places. We had to clean up tar messes. I am not completely happy with the color. Brad knew I was having a hard time deciding, but even tho he said he could use any brand, he only brought Tamko samples and didn't have an actual house for me to look at. In conclusion, I think RC Jones would do fine on a simple, black roof, on a house with no plants around it, but since their price is higher, it wouldn't be worth it. In retrospect, I wish we had hired B & F Roofing Company, even at the higher price. Tom Fowler explained how he would fix the "tricky" places, like on a custom home and not a mobile home as RCJones did it, and he would have helped me pick the perfect color. It will be difficult to rate this company, b/c the basic job was ok. We have had no problems with leaks, etc.

It has problem after problem, the quality fails to expectation, the craftsmanship poor. They should have been done January, and now it June and the job is not complete.

They were prompt and courteous. While on my roof, the technician also found some other small problems. The leak and the other problems were easily repaired, but could have caused damage in the future if not handled right away. Their price was very reasonable. In the 6 months since the job was completed, there has been no sign of leakage any where in the attic.

They did an impressive job on the roof. We didn t have any problems with leaks and the roof looked very nice which was impressive because they finished the job very quickly. They didn't leave any messes at all and we didn't find any nails lying around. They had to do good because RC Jones was the old mayor.

This is a very reputable company and they didn't give us any reason to feel otherwise. This siding is a really good quality siding and it looks great on our home. The solid gutters are, also really nice and they look very good with the siding. The crew worked hard to get it all done and in the end we just felt this couldn't have went any better for us.

The crew was well trained and very organized on this project. It helps that they do this type of work as frequently as they do because they did not have any problems. They made sure the whole yard was cleaned up before they left and the new roof looks good. The job took two days and I feel better about a roof that won't leak. I am very happy with the results.
