+ -1 moreThere were some difficulties with the painting job, but Ms. Lavender took care of them. The whole interior of my two bath, two bedroom home with difficult popcorn ceilings was redone, so some problems could be expected. When I asked for changes to the trimwork done by the flooring contractor, it was immediately done.
Description of Work: Ms. Sheryll Lavender, owner/designer of Poinsett Interiors, phone 864-884-5554, did a superb job in designing the interior of my house. I wanted to change the wall color, remove the carpeting and install hardwood flooring, and buy new living room furniture. Ms. Lavender spent over two hours at the initial visit to go over paint and flooring choices. She went throughout the whole condominium, making suggestions, but allowing me to make the final decisions. I found her to be personable and professional. She considered my preferences and saw to it that they were accomodated. On subsequent visits, she brought multiple samples for me to choose kitchen tile and hardwood flooring. I am very hard to please and tend to take a long time making a decision. Ms. Lavender was extremely patient and did not try to hurry me. It took 15 different tile samples and multiple trips before I could make a final decision. She arranged for me to visit a client's home to see the finished floor so that I would be satisfied with my choice. I think she went above and beyond what I expected. She met with me at the furniture store to help select the couch and chairs and fabric. This took over an hour. Ms. Lavender supervised the painters and flooring contractors with great attention to detail When there were problems with the painting, she worked to be sure I was completely satisfied before they were finished. During this several month period, I had to leave town for my daughter's emergency surgery and Ms Lavender took care of all the work while I was gone. When the painting and floors were finished-and they are beautiful-,she spent over three hours rearranging furniture, hanging pictures, and adding the finishing touches. She will assist me in choosing the living room rug when my new furniture arrives. She found new ways to use what I already had, rather than having to purchase new furnishings. Ms. Lavender is a talented designer and offered assistance with the complete redecorating of my home. I can't recommend her highly enough. Her knowledge and professionalism is evident in all she does. I have been very satisfied with her work and will continue to use her in the future.

+ -1 moreUpon inspection, blinds over a Three Pane window are sagging in the middle. In the middle of the night (2 days after installation), the valance over the vertical blinds collapsed. When it collapsed, it made a tear in the vinyl. They came out and reinstalled the valence and indicated that he had someone coming to look at the floor. 2 weeks later sent an email to my wife, disclaiming all responsibility, blaming my wife s cat for the valence falling, and saying that we were difficult to deal with. I spoke to Ron, he had a confused story that: he was going to fix it, but his wife s lawyer said that they were not responsible, the cat could have done it, I could have done it, I was hard to deal with, he had done everything he said he would do, he was waiting on a call from the floor repairman...I told him that I was disputing the charge on my Credit Card, contacting an attorney, contacting the better business bureau - he threatened to sue me.
Description of Work: The contractor ordered custom blinds and had them installed.
