PIONEER FENCE OF GREENVILLE

I am so lucky to have found this business! We recently had a bad storm here that caused an electrical spike that took out the power gate operator. I had called several companies that do service and repair work but none were able to come out for one reason or another. Mainly because the rural location/distance being too far. Two weeks passed and I was still not able to get my gate opener repaired. I then found Pioneer Fence of Greenville, South Carolina. I called and Alex the owner, answered and actually listened to my issue and was able to provide solutions. I was in shock that this man was so professional, skilled and so well versed in the many aspects of my gate opener brand. Alex was able to recite the modules off the top of his head and get to the root of the problem rather than just throwing parts at it till one worked. In todays world, customer service is a lost art and even more so with the Covid-19 backlash of finding skilled people in the workforce. Add on to the fact everyone is short staffed, super busy and booked out weeks/months in advance, just being able to directly speak to the owner (Alex) was worth its weight in gold. Alex stands above and beyond, I will be telling everyone I know to see Pioneer Fence of Greenville. Truly above and beyond!

Would not come and give me a estimate at 5pm on a Friday that is the only time I am home during the week I work out of town. They must not need the work

I can not say enough nice things about Alex and both of the jobs he did for us. He personally handled all of the important aspects of both jobs from the quote to the measuring to the to the scheduling and overseeing of each job. I knew from the first job I could count on him to handle everything in a timely and professional way so I did not hesitate to call on him for our driveway gates. They did beautiful work...couldn't be more thrilled.

Great experience start to finish! Alex responded quickly to my request for a quote. Excellent price for high quality fencing. Just like the other fence contractors I had contacted before making a decision to go with Alex at Pioneer, Alex's installation schedule/calendar was very busy. Was set to have fence installed in about 4 weeks but Alex said if there was any opportunity to get my fence built sooner, he would try. And he kept his word. An opportunity came up and our fence was completed within 2 weeks. (I know that's not common but we appreciated Alex keeping our job in mind just in case something did come open sooner.) The crew who built the fence were on time, professional, polite, very neat and did an excellent job! I would highly recommend Pioneer Fence.

The work went fine. I think the one thing I have learned with fencing contractors after seeking several quotes is that they stay very busy and the weather can easily impact a project timeline. With that said, the quality of the work was excellent and I am confident I can depend on Alex for any maintenance of the gate

I I had called several fence companies for estimates and although Alex was a little higher than the others, I went with Pioneer because I had confidence in them from the beginning after talking with him, and after reading all the reviews. He called me back quickly, worked with me right from the estimate through waiting for approval from my HOA and once I got that (after 6 weeks!) my fence was up within three weeks. His guys showed up on time, and did a great job. It took one day to put in the posts (in cement) and the next they came back and finished it. He made sure it was within the boundaries around my patio. Its beautiful, well built and extremely sturdy. The guys who work for him did a great job and were very polite and conscientious. They made sure I knew the wood would shrink as it dried out and might warp a little. They told me to be sure and call Alex if anything seemed wrong, or didn't work and he would be right there to fix it. Alex also called afterwards to make sure I was happy with the fence. He again reiterated that if there was anything that seemed to a concern, or more than the normal shrinkage to call and he would come out and take a look and fix it. It is very assuring to know how strongly he backs up his work. This was the company I felt the most confidence in and I highly recommend them. If you have to wait five weeks because his company is busy ... it is soooo worth the wait. I would not hesitate to call him again. Thank you so much Pioneer Fence!

We contacted Pioneer Fence after reading favorable reviews here on the list. Alex came out and listened to what we were looking for in terms of product and style. He came back with a plan and reasonable quote for the fence work. The crew came on the date and time as planned. Awesome job. Thought it might take three days -- they turned it around in two! Fence looks great and has totally met our expectations. Really can't say enough about the outstanding work they did for us.

Alex was very professional. He arrived on time and provided a quote. He on me patiently during the period between the quote and when I was ready to install the fence. Once I gave the OK to proceed, he ordered materials and had a crew out within a few weeks. Install went well and the new fence looks great.

The guy was awesome. He came out and was very professional. He was great, but we just didn’t go with him because we think we’re going to end up doing stone instead of regular fencing. We had a couple of different quotes. He was very reasonable and helpful. We felt bad that we didn’t go with him and he was so good but he does not do stone. He was very responsible, clean cut and an attractive white male. He spoke well, looked well and acted well. He was a proper guy and he was somebody that we would definitely trust to have your doors unlocked while he is out there. He’s a good old country boy. We would surely use him again in the future. He’s the first one that we would call.

The waiting time is worth it, they did a great job in my backyard and will recommend them without a doubt

The bottom tension wire on our existing black chain link fence was not strong/tight enough to keep my dogs in. So I called a few fence companies to get estimates on installing a bottom rail all the way around to solve the problem. Most other companies either did not return my call or said they would get back to me and then never did. Alex at Pioneer Fence was GREAT. He returned every phone call within 24 hours and got the job done quickly and in a quality manner. He even made sure to schedule his crew to take lunch at a time that worked for me to come home and let me dogs out the day of the installation. Then after the job was complete I had a different question about work that his company did not do, and he still returned my call and helped me out with referrals. Working with Alex was a breath of fresh air after dealing with other fence companies. I would highly recommend him and Pioneer Fence to anyone.

Pioneer Fence came out to the house for 3 days to do 250 ft of wooden picket privacy fence around the backyard with two walk-in gates. The fence looks AMAZING. Alex chopped down some brush along the property line, and had all the posts in place on the first day. It took another two days to nail in the pickets and do the gates, and they cleaned everything up when they left. The neighbors love it too.

Everything turned out excellent. The crew came out to give the estimate. They were on time, the job was started early and the completed on time. I would hire them again in a minute and they did a beautiful job. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Installed 130 ft. of Galvanized Chain Link Fence, With 2, 60 inch doors .

As soon as we called, we were able to get someone to come out and give us an estimate the very next day, which was great. Once we scheduled it, though, they were already booked for a month. However, they ended up giving us a call and were able to come one week earlier than initially scheduled. The price was good as it averaged out to $23/linear foot when $25 is usually the going rate and gates are more expensive at $200-$300 apiece. The man that came out to build the fence was not the same man who gave us the estimate. We were not happy because he never came and knocked on our door. We just happened to be home (a day before they thought they could get to us) and heard hammering and pounding and such. We went outside and he already had a few posts in the ground. I was upset because he had no idea what we wanted. We had to make him move all the posts he put in because they weren't where we wanted them. I'm just glad we happened to be home otherwise I'm not sure where the fence would have ended up if we weren't. The quality of construction was very high. They used cedar for the pickets and pinewood(?) for the fence posts. On day 1, they cemented in the posts and left them overnight to set. On day 2, they were to finish the fence. They were unable to, though, because they hadn't ordered enough pickets. Thus, they were able to finish the fence one week later when the supplies came in. The end product looks fantastic. The only other real complaint we had was the the second gentleman talked quite a bit when he was out and about in the yard and kept talking to us about getting drunk, going to strip clubs, etc. It was very unprofessional and we decided to stay inside and avoid him as much as possible.

Didn't go. No return email or phone call. I even checked my spam mail and no one ever tried to contact us.

We got quotes from a couple of different companies and they gave us the best price, they came quickly for the quote and the price was pretty much in line with another company. They worked with us on what we wanted and gave us some ideas and some options. They gave us the pricing really, really quickly. There was a coupon on Angie’s List for them and they were able to meet the deadline that we had, we had a really, strict time window on that. The guys were all really nice, they were funny, they came, they did their stuff, and they left. They had a lot of projects going on apparently. I really enjoyed them. Their pricing was very reasonable. We would highly recommend them. The fence that we put up was not meant to be a permanent solution because we had a different project in mind so they gave us the best option for a solution that wouldn’t have to be permanent but if we wanted it to be, it would work as well. They were able to meet our time constraints and they were able to do a good job.

Completely met or exceeded my expectations.

Alex came out and gave us an estimate. We received 4 other estimates and they were the best price for the fence installation. We were told the crew was going to show up on Thursday to begin the installation but John was the only guy who showed up that day. We were a little worried about one man doing all that work, time wise and quality wise, but he was fantastic! John was a very hard worker and very very nice. He got all the posts up that day and he did an excellent job. Fiday John came back with TJ and they were able to get all the chainlink up and almost all the wood fence up. They were there most of the day Friday and came back Saturday moring to finish up. They ended up staying until Saturday late afternoon to make sure everything was filled in properly. Becuase we have a dog (the reson for the fence) John and TJ went out of their way to fill in dirt along the bottom and even attached some extra chanlink along a certain dip in the yard to ensure the dog couldn't get out. I would (and will!) reccoment Pioneer Fence to anyone who needs a fence. We could not be happier with the outcome of our fence and are thrilled with the service we recieved. They are well worth the money for the service and it's a great comfort to know good guys are out doing the job and will do it well.
