Pella Windows and Doors

If you're thinking about purchasing from Pella I have to strongly advise that you think twice. I am a custom home builder of high quality homes so I know what to look for. My brother-in-law and I paid more than $50,000 for what is supposed to be top of the line windows and there are many quality control issues. The roll screens don't roll up, some installed backward, some with missing parts on the sashes, and more. They still owe us a window so the job cannot be completed yet. It started over a year ago. Sales doesn't want to have anything to do with service. They won't even file the request. Corporate, service, and the local dealership do not communicate. These are words coming from Pella representatives themselves. Excuses excuses but no resolutions. Save yourself a lot of money and headache!

The product, the people and the service could not have been any better. This is the 4th or 5th time I have used these folks on this project and it has all been excellent.

Pella products are top dollar but also top quality with many desirable features. Pete Higgins in Columbia was very knowledgeable, helpful, prompt, and all the things you look for in a sales rep. Brock Construction was TOPS. Efficient, helpful, responsive to questions, did excellent finished work, and cleaned up very well. Could not have asked for more.

We couldn't get the people that represented Andersen come out. He made an appointment to see us and see what we would have to have done. I knew Pella and Andersen are 2 top names and I wanted quality. Pella came out, gave us an estimate, and they talked to us about it. They were extremely good and they presented themselves very well.

I first bought one window from them, and then I bought 5 more windows, and there was some construction going on, so those guys put those in for me, and then I bought 5 more windows which I installed myself. The windows have been great over the past 10 years. I would recommend them. The product is far superior, and the installation is easy.They are not the cheapest, but you get what you get what you pay for. The product was excellent.

I have used them in the past. I love the service. You can't beat it. You don't have to worry about anybody delivering it to you, they bring it in their truck, and helped me unload it. Their products are fine.

It turned out absolutely fabulous. We are thrilled with our new Pella windows. We love our new windows. It is the best thing we ever did. The guys are efficient and come when they say they are going to come. If they don't come they are going to call about why they are delayed. They don't leave you hanging around the house all day. They did a real nice job, cleaned up beautifully and we are thrilled with them. I thought the price was fair.

The installer was great. The guy did a great job and was a great help.

They came on time. They did what they said and they were nice.

The estimator came out on the time that he said he would. Pella Window Store were upfront that they could not do what we asked them to do. They didn't just try to rig it. They didn't have a product that we needed.

They did a great job. The supervisor has worked for them for about 12 years. The crew of 3 was very meticulous in their work, and just did a really good job!

We were kept in the loop from start to finish. The installer Pella uses is EXCELLENT and really listens to you. There was a slight blip, caught early on (be there for your installation, at least to get things started) and it was easy to remedy. The windows have been in place for over a year now and they still look brand new. They slide like a dream and their overall appearance really adds to the value of the house.

I would use them again in the future if needed.

Saleman attempted to pad the bill. Genral manager backed salesman until I caught them in a lie, verbal and on paper. I finally received a refund for the over payment. Pella is a great product. Love the windows. Would not buy from the Irmo location again.

They were really professional, nice, helpful, and have a good product. I had no problem at all with them. That was the first problem we had with the windows and they came out and made it right.

I have several beautiful Pella windows and a wonderful Pella patio door, all with blinds in the middle. I have had a problem with the windows not closing or latching all the way. I called Pella and spoke with Larry Tullis who assured me that he would get Mike out to check on things. Larry was very upbeat and kind and took his time listening to my tale of woe. Mike Raines came at the appointed time and even called ahead so I could corral my dogs. As soon as Mike checked each window he knew what the problem was and was able to take care of things on the spot. It went really well. They showed up when they said they would, they cleaned up well after themselves, and were very nice people. The windows are great, too. We bought the windows and trim pre-stained to save money and regret that. It was a pain to stain them after they were already in.

The installers were very workmanlike-- installed the windows, caulked, covered outside trim with aluminum that requires no painting, and trimmed inside ready for paint. The windows were unpainted, since I had not decided whether to paint or stain them (I went with paint later). They cleaned up well and were courteous. The price was a real splurge, but the windows are top quality, low maintenance & energy efficient. The installation was no-hassle.

The estimator was great & delivery was as promised. Have had a problem with one door but they are fixing it. Also replaced one door handle I was unhappy with the color with no problems.

It took longer than I expected. 4-6 months from start to finish. They installer was FANTASTIC. Great job. I have a few more windows to do and I will call them again. House is very, very large with many windows, that is why the cost is high. Also, the windows and doors are high end with new locks etc. in solid brass. I liked what they didi.

My experience with Pella Windows of Greenville went very well. I had a large custom-sized window where the seal had broken and the frame had water damage. I had several local companies come out and they wouldn't even give me an estimate because they said it would be too difficult to replace the window. Pella's sales rep, Jonathan, called because he was going to be 5 minutes late to our appointment. Upon arrival he was cordial and very informative. He went over all the different options available and explained that it was going to be a little difficult because of the custom-sized window. He was also concerned because the frame that they would use was going to be a little different style than the one that was there. He showed me the pictures and I compared it to the one I had and I honestly had to look very closely before I saw what he was talking about. I put a deposit down when Pella ordered the window. It took about two weeks for it to get there and then a few days for the crew to arrive to put it in. I think that the installation crew was a subcontractor but Pella remained the responsible party. The three man crew came and were very careful to put down blankets to protect my hardwood floors where they were walking back and forth. It took them about 2 hours to do all the entire work and they cleaned up well before they left. I was worried that Pella wouldn't want to come all the way to Clemson from Greenville to replace just one window but they made it clear that they consider this their territory and were happy to do the work. I'm sure I'll be using them in the future when I need additional windows or doors replaced.

I decided to use them because I like their windows. Everyone knows about Pella because there are two big window companies and they are one of them. They were professional, responsive and punctual. I think their price was a little higher, but I got good windows, so I think it was fair.

They did a quality job on my windows. The workers were very experienced however I just think that they charge way too much. I found out after the fact that we can get the same Pella window a lot cheaper going through a local hardware store. The reason why I wouldn't use them again is because of their price.

The prices with them were a little higher but for such a dependable product and great workmanship you couldn t beat it. The new ones were very nice and fit what we were looking for. We expected them to last forever and they guaranteed their windows. It turned out to be a very likeable experience.
