I was completely disappointed with his service. He brought out dead sod and admitted he got it at a discount. He told me he'd change it out when sod became available. Then he asked if he could be paid when the job was about 60% complete and I was dumb enough to trust him based on the last job he did for me. Well, he has not been back since. I'd call and text and he would tell me he'd be out that week - didn't happen over and over. Weeks later, I finally had to take care of the empty spots myself. If you've got a landscaping job - try someone else. It can't be any worse than this.

I would like to bring a neglectful company, Paxton Landscapes, to your attention. After hiring them to build a perimeter fence around our property and put in a new gravel driveway, what should have been a simple project turned into a dragged-out headache of neglecting services, toying with their customers in hopes of avoiding their contract, and failing to refund the money paid to them after they were fired. The first sign of trouble was the constant delays in getting started, often without any notification they would simply fail to show up. We were promised numerous times about when they would start and these turned out to be broken promise after broken promise. If fact, throughout the month of June, they only worked 5 or 6 days total and generally only for a few hours at a time. The driveway, which I was told would take 1.5-2 days was never finished after 6 weeks. The fence project was never started at all. They often failed to respond to numerous efforts to contact them to resolve this problems. We agreed upon a labor charge of $5500 (which also included $500 for gravel because they had failed to quote me correctly on materials) with a $3000 deposit, $500 of which was to cover the gravel. After the first week of working on the driveway, their quality of work and frequency of work rapidly began to drop. After this project drug out for 6 weeks, I eventually fired Paxton from the job on July 10th. He was supposed to finish installing the driveway culvert and then we were to go our separate ways. In an act of understanding, we attempted to pay them for what little they completed, but we also demanded to be refunded all of the money from the job they refused to complete We agreed that $1500 of our $3000 deposit would be returned to me within 5 business days (July 21st). He has been contacted numerous times to resolve this matter, but as of yet, has failed to do so.
Description of Work: Gave me a good quote on fixing driveway and installing fence. I gave him a down payment but the work drug out over weeks until he finally admitted that he had underbid and was hoping I would find someone else. Now he owes me $1500 and says he doesn't have the money to repay me. I filed a complaint with the BBB but the problem has not been resolved.
