Palmetto was extremely helpful from the moment I called. they asked me to send them pictures of the problem via text which made the whole process much easier. They determined that they did not have the part I needed but ordered it and came out to fix the door as soon as it was in. In the meantime, they instructed me on how to prevent the door from being further damaged. I called one other glass door specialist on angieslist and they gave me an estimate of triple what Palmetto gave claiming they had to pay for insurance. I will definately use Palmetto again in the future.

The price seemed a little high, but the quality of the product and install was very good. The only reason I gave a and quot;Band quot; rating for quality and overall is that one of the brackets leaked and they could not fix it after I called them back to resolve it. The leak still existed after they applied some silicon to the bracket. I ended up fixing the problem myself with some silicon between the bracket and the glass where it was leaking (I removed the bracket and put silicon between the bracket and glass). We selected this enclosure since there were no frame parts to collect mold. The only metal parts are the two brackets to hold the glass to the wall, two corner brackets, one bracket on the curb, and two hinges for the door plus a chrome door handle We squeegee the glass every day and wipe it down with a towel, so it looks as good as new 7 months after the install with no mold or stain accumulation around the edges.

We interviewed several framless shower door vendors and received quotes from each. While Palmetto Specialties's quote was a little higher than the other vendors we hired them due to thier professionalism, attention to detail, communication and ability to listen to our needs and wants. Other vendors simply offered options that they (not us) thought would look best and be easy (for them) to install. Moreover, we were concerned about future follow up with the other vendors in the event a problem arose down the road. Palmetto Specialties listened to our needs and wants and made a number of helpful suggestions. Their showroom was very nice and allowed us to see various options, etc. The installation went well. Mark and Gary arrived on time on the installation date and did a nice job installing the glass walls and door. I am confident that if we ever experience a problem with our frameless shower door and/or walls Palmetto Specialties will be more than willing to resolve the issue in a timely manner.
