Palmetto Appliance was assigned to my issue through my home owners warranty on 12/2/2020. They came to my house on 12/8/2020 and said that I needed a new motor which would take about 2 weeks to receive. They came back on 12/17 to install the new motor but when they put the dishwasher back they didn't align it correctly so it wouldn't close properly. They were supposed to come back on 12/29 to correct the issue but never showed up so I called them and they ended up coming at about 4:30 PM. Got the dishwasher aligned properly and it worked for about 24 hours before I started getting an LE error message which indicates improper installation. I called them again and they said they'd be back on 1/7 between 1-3. I got a call from them at 12:30 saying my warranty company was sending out another company. I called warranty company and they said that Palmetto Appliance called them and said they don't work on my brand of dishwasher...um, what? They've "worked" on it twice already at this point. Honestly I'm glad they're not coming back though, the technician was rude and unprofessional and I've gone a month without a working dishwasher, which although not impossible to deal with, is still annoying.

They did an excellent job. We have American Shield and we pay a $125 and they come out and do whatever. They came out and just repaired everything. Our house is now 10 years old, so stuff is starting to fall apart. And they are really good. I've got all that stuff done for that amount of money.
Description of Work: I have used Palmetto Appliance Professional. They did the dishwasher, freezer, refrigerator and dryer.

We went through our home warranty company. I would suggest that if you need services you should use someone else. They mis-dagnosed our washing machine, filed a claim with our ins company, and this all started Sept 6. It is Sept 23 and it is still broken. They replaced a computer board in our machine, said it was fixed, did NOT test it that we can see. We tried to use it and it did NOT work less than 30 minutes after they left. Called the tech right away and he stopped by the next morning and said it was a different problem. This was 4 days ago and no contact at all. It is now 17 days and counting...run from this company. Left messages, no call back, my home warranty company has also with NO return calls.
Description of Work: We used them to repair our washing machine.

PAP responded promptly to our request for service. Communication was good and all appointments were scheduled to our convenience and kept on time in every case. The problem was quickly diagnosed on the first visit, the appropriate part was ordered and was installed as promised within the time frame expected. The technician was not only professional and knowledgable, but was also cordial and considerate. The washer works beautifully.
Description of Work: A control switch in our clothes washer was malfunctioning. The part was ordered and replaced.

On April 10th the repairman showed up to trouble shoot my dryer. He did not bring an extra man so I had to help him remove the dryer. He forgot to disconnect the dryer vent hose so it was destroyed in the process of removal. He said that's OK I'll replace it when I come back to make the repair. I had already given them the make and model numbers and told them what was wrong hoping that would expedite things and they would have the needed parts when they got here. They don't show up with any parts. The first call is just to trouble shoot to see what parts need repalcing. Then they order parts and come back another day to make the repair. On April 16th (10 days after calling AHS) a different guy shows up with parts to fix the dryer. Again no second guy to help put back the dryer. After 30 minutes or so he's ready to leave he says. Dryers fixed he said. I said you're not finished. You haven't replaced the vent hose and we have to put the dryer back on top of the washer. He said I didn't bring a replacement vent hose and we don't replace those anyway. Also I'm not going to put the dryer back on top of the washer. We can't be responsible for things like that. I showed him the form the first guy gave me which plainly said a vent hose was one of the parts being ordered. Now he says OK but I'll have to make a 3rd trip. As of today (4/18/13) my repair job still isn't finished and I haven't heard anything from them or American Home Shield. This is the sorriest applicance repair company I have ever dealt with. They took much too long to get he parts. They make excuses to get out of finishing the job. They are unreliable, unresponsive, they don't return phone calls. They are bad news. Don't use them. Also I would have to rate American Home Shield poorly for using these people. I have no doubt they are getting complaints about these people. So far they haven't been any help in getting them back to finish the job.
Description of Work: I have a contract with American Home Shield. My clothes dryer went out on Saturday April 6, 2013. I called AHS's automated phone service to put in repair call. They repsonded by email saying Palmetto Appliance Professional would be doing the repair on my unit. PAP was supposed to call me within 24 hours (business days). That is AHS standard procedure. They did not call. I called them. Nobody answered so I left a message. They did not return my call. Finally I emailed them. I explained mine was a stacked unit with the dryer on top. I also gave them the make and model number to expedite things. I knew from past experience with Sears removing the dryer would be a 2 man job and I told them to bring an extra man.

Both these repair jobs were covered by my home warranty company and Palmetto was selected by this out of state company. On job 1 the owner of Palmetto came soon after getting the work order and diagnosed my dishwasher problems as being the pump but left no paperwork and failed, twice, to send any which I requested by phone. Twelve days later and Palmetto refuses to return messages asking about service. 14 days after the service call, I called the home warranty company and they had Palmetto come to replace the pump 2 days later. Sometime later I submitted a claim to my warranty company for the built in microwave range electronic panel problem. As luck would have it, they sent Palmetto again. This time it took 11 days to show up, diagnose the problem, collect $65 from me and leave. After 8 more days, I tel, the warranty firm and was told that Palmetto had told them a part could not be found. I found it on the Internet in 5 minutes and the warranty guy found it at Sears and notified Palmetto. 13 more days went by and 4 more calls to the warranty people who would call Palmetto, get a promise that he was ordering the part or waiting for it and nothing happening. Finally, 34 days after Palmetto diagnosed my problem, I got a supervisor at the warranty company to call Palmetto. This supervisor then ordered the part and had it shipped to my home. I notified Palmetto when it arrived and 2 days later, the owner of Palmetto finally installed the part.
Description of Work: Job 1: Dishwasher pump replaced Job 2: Microwave electronic panel replaced
