We state on our paperwork that virus removal is not guaranteed but we stand behind our work and make sure that we correct all issues. I would normally recommend that you bring the laptop to me personally so that I can get your problems fixed but this most likely won�t happen since you have taken it to another shop and they have rebuilt the computer. Do you mind telling me what you paid to get it rebuilt by this other company? In most cases we start with the lowest cost service then work our way up. The diagnostic fee allows us to clean up the computer and look any other issues that we may see. In the case of the viruses we charge 140.00. If a virus cleanup is done and we/you find that there are still viruses or random or quirky issues we recommend a rebuild. Our rebuild is 195.00 and includes the virus cleanup and PC Tune up. Before our computers go out the door we test the browser with multiple sites to ensure it is working properly. I believe in your particular case there was other issues that were cause by infected files that were corrupted or removed. Although, I cannot confirm after a rebuild, but the some websites use java and other browser helper objects that if corrupt can cause the page to not work properly. I talked to Jonah, and on the second day you brought your computer in for the internet website issue, we were having internet issues with Charter. Jonah noticed that it was prompting for adobe programs, virtual java, and some others. I am not sure why the computer was not left, either you did not want to leave it or he did not offer, regardless you felt you needed to get it repaired elsewhere. Do you mind telling why you got it fixed before contacting me? I understand a second opinion but at this point I feel my hands are tied. I have no way of making things right. Viruses are more an art then a science. If someone brought their computer into me, from another IT company I can almost guarantee that I can find multiple viruses. In reality there is no way to keep them off your computer even with multiple Anti-Virus Programs running at the same time. I am not saying that the other company did not find a virus, but there is no way to be certain now that it has been rebuilt. Rebuilding fixes everything but you also have to reload all your data and programs back onto the computer and most people don�t have their CD�s for MS Office and other programs. So we use that as our last resort. I hope this helps. Checked the flashdrive to day and NOTHING on it. On the third visit BEFORE me used it; Jonah said" I don't know what's wrong" and handed it back to me". He also assured me the new BYTEFINER (?) antiviiirus system would forever solve and identify ANY future viruses so why did I find another buried deep within. I needed this computer this week for ongoing tutoring and don't have time nor money to continue to return a product with no guarantees on workmanship JUST more money please. I solved my daughter's problems today with another company and guaranteed annual online and verbal support for the next year. Will file my grievances with 3rd parties to avoid this happening to others.
Description of Work: On strong advice from a friend of mine; I took my HP2000 laptop of my daughters by your store at Tanner last week and back twice this week. It was very slow or non responsive to many commands and websites. Jonah said he would "tune it up" for $40 but then called me back and said it had some viruses and would cost $140 to correct all to have an efficient machine for her high school days. Long story short; it did not work properly and have taken it back to him twice more with the last time; your retail store wi fi was intermittent and he said he could do nothing else for me !! Therefore for $140: I still have a non functional machine and feel overcharged and taken advantage of in this case. I could have taken it back to Best Buy where I bought it for an Annual Service Agreement for $200. This certainly not indicative of what you should have happening in your store(s) and if I treated my clients in the same manner - would have no business. Called in another IT Specialist yesterday that handles all my business PC work and pasted below is his report on the HP 2000 that Jonah could not fix or guarantee his work;

I have worked with him probably in the last six months ago, I had completely shutdown with the virus. I took computer over there and they got everything out, cleaned out everything, and got it back to me in a couple of days, so I am very pleased with them. They have a storefront office, so that you can just drop it often. It is in a shopping mall and in fact, they just expand it, they just double the size because their business is good and they have got four or five nice young technicians who knows what they are doing, understand, you can call them on the phone and they will log on your computer and fix it just while you are on the phone if possible.
