The service tech was prompt, courteous, very professional. Made inspection of all areas, made recommendations of pricing. Proceeded to complete the work in an efficient and timely manner.

Arrived between the hours specified. Performed an evaluation and provided quotation. Work completed that evening. Technician was courteous and answereed all questions.

All personnel were responsive and professional. I was kept informed at all steps of the process over several days. I received calls on arrivals, contaminates (accurate), all questions and concerns were addressed. Technician Kevin was especially personable and hard working along with Russ and Sam.

Kevin arrived early, was polite & courteous. Job needed was well done.

I used this company only because I received a coupon for a free estimate. While there was a major root problem, most of the extensive digging was done by hand shoveling yet there was a huge charge for rental equipment which sat in the yard for a couple of days. There were clean-out drains placed close to the house and the street (at least 9" above ground) and I was told I saved at least an additional $4200 or more because the work under the road was completed by the city in which I live. The price escalated from around $2400 to closed to $10000. I now have a destroyed yard from the heavy equipment, but they did open the drain in the house and near the road. I was told that everything in between the house and the road (about 30 feet) could be jeopardized just because of the type of pipe previously used. Still wondering why I paid such an exorbitant amount only to have my yard destroyed where there was no work performed and how much it would cost to have the existing drains replaced since I was told "it could be months and it could be years." Have asked the owners multiple times for an itemized, detailed bill so if I ever needed future work I would be able to share what was completed . . . never received.

Kevin came on time, made sure all worked well. Overcame problem w/installing dishwasher in new cabinet. He had done work for us 6 months ago and I specifically asked for him again. He works well.

Inspected pipes outside. Discovered broken clay pipe, sent camera down and showed me roots were blocking pipe as well. Cleaned out pipes. Cleaned up area surrounding pipe where he worked.

I notified Mr. Rooter this was a very old sink (60+). Itemized costs were presented before the work began - I took some of the work off the table as the estimate was running high. In the end, because of matching old-to-new parts, both of us would have been better off if a "package" deal could have been made to use all new and easily interfaced components. The plumber had to make two runs for parts increasing his time spent on the project. Final work was totally acceptable. Oh, and my favorite plumber (the reason I called Mr. Rooter) does not work there anymore - proving in the end it's people we hire, not the company.

They didn’t really give me an estimate. They asked me to get a hold of detection service which I did. Then I had another plumber come in. They were fine. They didn’t charge me any service charge just for coming out. They agreed with the other plumber that it was probably a leak in the foundation. They seemed nice and they came out promptly on time for the appointment. He was very professional. He gave me some options. He came when he was supposed to and he called me and said that he would be 15 minutes late.

I have a rental home in Greer and live in Charleston. The tenants called Roto Rooter after I gave them approval to call a plumber. The initial complaint was a toilet was backing up. This resulted in a new toilet for $400. Then within a couple of days, the sewer line started backing up. They stated the block could not be reached with the snake and they had to use the jet. The service man also said it was a good thing that he was there because the hot water heater was about to go any day and should be replaced. The jet service was $360 for two cleanings, and he negotiated on the hot water heater to $900. At that time they told me it may be that a piece of my sewer line needed to be replaced at about $1,500. They replaced the water heater and did jet the line. It backed up again within two weeks and they had to jet the line again. At this time the service man told me I needed $6500 in sewer line replacement. After I told him I needed another opinion, he reminded me that they "price match". I ended up having the line ground out with a snake by Dipple Plumbing for $400 and was told blue shop type paper towels were blocking the line. It was an easy fix that Roto Rooter tried to make me pay $6500 for because I was out of town. The service man was also very rude on the phone. I will never call them again.

Overall, very satisfied. I was informed of my options, and given a recommendation. Everything was clearly explained to me, so there was absolutely no sense that I was being overcharged or that unnecessary work was being done. They were very upfront and above board with everything.

They were fine and everything went well. We had some issues but they came back the next day and fixed it. I really do not have anything to compare to with regard to price except a company that I used years ago and compared to them, Mr. Rooter would be an A. I would use their service in the future if needed.

This is a good company; they did the work quickly but I don't remember exactly how long it took. They did a good job explaining the problem, which was it wasn't making a good seal. I feel they are honest and trustworthy. They provided the materials. They were professional and on time. They also cleaned up after themselves. This is the 1st time I used this plumber.
