Modern Plumbing & Backflow

This company is dishonest and I would never personally use them again. They padded their prices because our hot water heater was covered under a warranty. Charging insane prices for easy items like insulating the pipes. Then when I asked about the prices, they insulted me and told me they would "pray for me."

I had service on my electric water heater through Duke Energy. The gentleman quickly identified the source of the leak as the pressure valve, and verified it under the house. He and his helper were very friendly and efficient and I have had no further issues. I now have a leak under my kitchen sink and will be calling them again.

Replaced the flapper in the toliet tank and it stopped for a few hours, but then it started running again a little and 2 days later it was back to where we started. On the drain, he said he was submitting it to the home warranty but I got an estimate for almost $600 to fix it, after he had told me what an easy fix it would be. Called the home warranty and they said it had not even been submitted to them! Rip off!

We moved into our house a week ago and had to call our home warranty company to have work done to our water heater as it was spewing water Saturday night. Monday, someone finally calls and says they can come out. When the guy finally arrives, he looks and says it should be an easy fix. As he looked more he said oh, you will need an expansion tank. I asked why, it been there for 14 years without one. He said its code...last i checked, you only need to be in compliance with code if its a new heater unit. He then told me he is refusing to do any work unless we pay out of pocket for the expansion tank that all i need is the t&p valve replaced. I told him to just replace the covered parts. He sat in his truck for about 45 minutes on the phone while i was on the phone with my warranty company. It was then told to me his report said the heater is less than a year old and since it doesn't have the expansion tank it was installed improperly and submitted the bogus report to my warranty company. Now they denied my claim because of a false report. Then he walked off the job after i told him he needed to wait for me to sign the papers cause i have to see why the claim was being denied. I was never able to see his report as he left the job before i could see. These people are liars and scammers that just want your money and once they know you aren't going to just hand them half a grand they make your life a living **** just to get water into your house. PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE HORRIBLE PEOPLE!!! YOU WILL REGRET THE, EVER STEPPING FOOT ONTO YOUR PROPERTY
