The sofa looks great, but he did not make the seat as deep as I originally asked him to make it. The chair skirt isn't long enough; he tried to fix it but it didn't look any longer when he returned it. The back cushion feels like down, and I specifically told him that I didn't want down. The bold pattern used to cover the ottoman was so obviously crooked when he delivered it that I couldn't believe that he would let it out of his shop. He fixed it, more or less, but it left me with a very nervous feeling about the rest of his work. I asked for knife-edge pillows on the sofa pillows, and he did that on three sides only. The concealed zipper edge is squared off with tucks, so I'm limited in how I can use the pillows. In 2011 he covered two head boards for a guest room and did a wonderful job. But in 2013 he did so much talking about what he can do that the follow-through just didn't measure up. I'd rather pay more and get the job done right.

I had employed Mr. McCroskey before and had been satisfied with his work. On this job, the staples to hold the welting are clearly visible, the welting is joined in a sloppy way, and the backs of 3 of the chairs are lacking full padding. Overall it was an unsatisfactory job. I finally decided that I could not accept the quality of the work and left several messages over many days which were unanswered. Finally he called to say he had had many health problems and had not been at his shop for some time. He said he was probably done working. Not knowing whether I have been told the truth or not, I decided to move on but also to post a review here.

He was very nice to deal with. He picked up the furniture and dropped it off. I believe him to be a very honest man. He was timely in the delivery and the service. On most of the products, we were very satisfied. We had one chair that we kind of don't necessarily agreed with what he installed is on the cushion but he did indicate that if we were not satisfied, he could redo it although kind of reluctantly. We haven't pursued that option at this point. But otherwise, we were satisfied. He is not the cheapest place, I am guessing.
