Damaged lawn. Agreed to settle thru BBB and did not the damage compensation. He just stalled and headfaked for months

After the first lawn treatment they killed approx 70% of the front lawn and the perimeter of the back.. The owner asked me to wait to see of the lawn came back. After a couple of weeks I sent pictures showing the lawn was somewhat better, but still looked awful. He acted like he was going to make it right and we agreed to try a spot repair with some sod and then reseeding instead of sodding the entire front. We made three date to do the repairs and he didn't show or call for various reasons including the sod order was not in. Sensing he was stalling I had to call his supplier to find the sod and then tell him. Meanwhile, they were skipping lawn mowing dates. When they finally showed to do the repairs they did a very poor and half hearted job. They did not lay the sod at job level and basically laid the sod on, which has created ruts in my lawn which act as gullies and new seed washed out. There are still striped in my front lawn where new seed did not germinate. A second pallet of sod was brought in and it was half dead. He asked me to water extra to keep the sod alive and get the new seed to geiminate and never offered to pay for the watering. Besides recent emails outlining remaining issues with pictures, the last contact was a phone call @ 9:30am on May 24th where I to;d the owner no one cut the lawn that week. He said that a different crew would be there the same day. By 5:30pm, no one showed and I called and left a voicemail. Never got a return call. Later he claimed he quit residental service and sent me an email(which I never received) and that he did everything I asked him to do. I became obvious he wants to wash his hands of the mess he didn't fix properly and that he admitted creating. They are not trustworthy

He is now doing my monthly yard service. I have quite a lot of land, trees and shrubs. He does an excellent job. He answers the phone, calls you back when he says he will, and does what he says he is going to do.
