I called and they refused to indicate what it would cost to snake a toilet. The plumber showed up which cost $49 then he proceeded to explain that it would cost almost $200 to snake the toilet. After I nearly had a heart attack, I agreed since I was already in for $49 (and didn't realize at the time that it would have been cheaper to send him home). Chris, the plumber, took less than 10 minutes to snake the toilet but spent at least 15 minutes writing up my bill and trying to sell me an expensive toilet. It was difficult to write this check because I knew that I was getting jolted. After he left, I called several local plumbers who offered to do the same thing for at least $100 less. Ken's plumbing took full advantage of my situation. Ken has refused to return my calls. I find him extremely unprofessional.

They were excellent, very professional and very fast. They did everything in the best possible way. The price seemed expensive.

Ken's price was more than twice the price I paid to another vendor listed on Angie's list.

My old water heater died on Sunday after 16 years of faithful service. Checked Angie's list for a plumber. Picked Ken's and called up Sunday night to arrange to have a service man respond for Monday morning. Received a call back within 30 minutes and a tech came out Monday morning at 10:00 AM. They promptly called me up and gave me a status report and a list of my options along with prices. I told them to go ahead. when I returned home from work they were finishing up. They stayed till the entire job was completed at 8PM. The technician, John, was very knowledgeable about water heaters in general and we discussed at length his experience with best types and reasons for failure. He also trained me well on how to troubleshoot and re-light the pilot light safely and instructions to observe with the operation and care of the equipment. Although the price I was charged was higher than I expected, I was very pleased with the whole experience and would highly recommend them because, having done plumbing jobs myself, I can say they were very professional and were worth the cost.

Chris responded quickly to my request for an estimate. He was punctual and courteous and took plenty of time discussing options. His explanations and recommendations were clear and thoughtful. I chose a more complex and expensive solution and he carried out quickly and neatly with careful workmanship. I will definitely call on Ken's Plumbing the next time I need plumbing work done. About the only things that were lacking in this job were details and options on different models of water heaters. I would have liked to purchase a very high-efficiency unit, but Chris lacked information about options and when he got the information there were no high efficiency units in stock in our area.

I had a medium sized job that required replacing shutoff valves and moving suply and drain lines and I only needed the plumbing "roughed in" Ken's wanted $1,500 which is way too much. I guess all the thank you cards and shoe covers just cause too much overhead.

They were friendly on the phone, and very punctual. The repairman had to replace a very old cartridge, so it took a while, but he was very thorough, and while he was waiting to hear about getting a replacement, he did an inspection of the rest of the plumbing in the house for free. It was a bit pricey, but then again, he knew what he was doing, did it well, and we couldn't be happier. We will use Ken's Plumbing from now on, because we want the job done right the first time.

He was not able to find any problems with our plumbing, but he raised a piece of flexible tubing coming from the dishwasher. He answered all my questions and concerns very professionally. Incidentally, I haven't had the problem since.

Blake McCall, service tech, came in putting on his shoe covers before he entered. He gave me the estimate and began the repairs. There was a problem attaching the new faucet to the old line. Blake explained the situation, made his recommendation and adjusted the estimate. The faucet was installed successfully.

Daniel came out and said he found the problem and could fix it for around $940.00. We bought in. He cut out the ceiling, I assume did "something", said it was fixed and to "please watch it for a week or two and let it dry". It still leaked right after and he came back out and said "maybe the tenants are flushing things they shouldnt be" and oh, by the way, I can replace the toilet (for just under $700). With the new improved toilet "You can flush golf balls down". Impressive. Mind you the toilet, and much of the bathroom overall was brand new as of two years ago and operating just fine. In the end, it cost me over a thousand dollars for no solution to the problem and my wife, because Im still out of town, managed to replace the wax seal for 5 bucks. Problem is now solved. I feel reamed and now I have a kitchen ceiling to fix for a few more hundred dollars. Previous reviewers statement of ...must have deep pockets is an understatement, but I could accept it if the problem actually got solved. As it turned out, their $700 toilet would have worked, but only because the $5 wax seal would have gotten replaced by default. I find that a distasteful way to take advantage of unsuspecting consumers (luckily we suspected, but I feel sorry for others who would be victims). Its like a shady mechanic recommending replacing the engine to fix a smaller problem... of course the problem still gets fixed, at 10x what a reputable repair would actually cost. I consult a professional because I expect them to know how to pinpoint problems in their realm of expertise. I did not file this because Daniel seemed quite sincere in his work on whatever he did in the kitchen ceiling panel. I cannot know whether there may have actually been another pipe leak that he did in fact fix for that thousand dollars. It could have been coupled with the faulty wax seal. If I had let them replace the toilet with the exorbitantly overpriced one, I would spent overall $1600 for a problem that may have been only the wax seal. I just cant know, but since I didnt let them do the toilet fix, I didnt get flat-out scammed and I can now know that for a fact. I could not have known if I had let them replace it. I do presume from that knowledge of the exorbitant toilet offer, that a thousand dollars for the "pipe fix" was likely inflated as well.

They usually do not do this kind of work, but he was nice enough to do it for me and he was very helpful. I can't complain because their service has always been very good.

I chose this plumber because of all the good ratings on Angie's List. We bought the tankless unit through them. They did a good job installing it and did not leave a mess. I like that this system is more efficient and "greener."

They were just wonderful. I was so impressed with them. They covered their feet when they came in the house and removed them when they left and then put them back on every time they came back in. They did give us a time frame of when they would have the work done and they were able to complete it in that time.

They were called after 7:00 PM, were at the house by 7:30 PM and completed the repairs by 10:00 PM. From the very first call to the follow-up thank you note they were courteous, prompt and a pleasure to work with.

Courteous, on time, answered all questions, and explained the work clearly (John and Kenny). The work done was very neat and they cleaned up afterwards. I called them to fix a couple of slowly dripping wall access plugs, which they did for no charge. They then did a full plumbing inspection for $59 and made some suggestions and recommendations. They were up front with pricing for each job, as well as gave me estimates verbally for other items that I might want done in the future. They were prepared to do the work that day and were done in a couple of hours. Buyer Beware: Ken's Diamond Club is somewhat confusing on the discounts you receive that day, versus any future discounts - be sure to ask specific questions to clarify their policies. For example, you can't join the Diamond Club on the day of service and get that discount (10%), AND use the Angie's List coupon, you have to choose one or the other. There was some sales pressure to have the work done that day.

Outside faucet would not turn off. After turning off the water to the house, I tried to remove the knob to replace it, not knowing that it had been welded in place. It broke off. Called Ken's Plumbing. This was on midday on a Saturday. Four hours later, the repairman was here. He was very professional, polite, and neat. The work was done and we could turn the water back on.

Everything in the kitchen overflowed muddy water onto the kitchen floor. I called Ken's Plumbing from the yellow pages ($25 discount on first visit). Kevin was there when they said he would be and was very professional. He checked out the kitchen, crawl space, 3 bathrooms and the water pressure. Everything else was in great shape. He roto rooted the kitchen pipes, cleaned everything up, gave me some tips on how to avoid the problem in the future. I was very pleased with the service.

I feel that Ken's did a very fine job. They were very professional and they worked very well. They did a good job and I now have no problems with it. I was thankful that they were able to come out as quickly as they did and service it.

We have had absolutely no problem with the installation or the water heater they provided. The water heater is very good quality and works perfectly. The serviceman was very polite and cleaned up well. We do feel the price was way too expensive. Due to the price alone, I believe I would shop around more next time.

They were overpriced. I had another company installed five new shut-off valves since for less than half the price. I thought that they were not very competent. They had difficultly doing the easier tasks. They had to do one of the valves three times before they got it right.

We found Ken's plumbing from Angie's List and scheduled someone to come out and give us an estimate the next day for $50. The estimate was a whopping $850, but it included the possibility of having to dig up and replace the entire length of the pipe from the water main to the house; about 75 feet including under the sidewalk. They offered us 25% off if we joined their membership club and they said they could do it the next day. They came the next day and quickly found and fixed the leak several feet from the water main. Job well done - HOWEVER, the invoice was still $850 and they changed their membership discount offer of 25% to 10%, because we did not join the day before (this wasn't explained and neither was the estimate). I called and explained my issues but they were unwilling to help. If you have deep pockets and a short time frame call Ken's. I will not hire this company for any future work.

The plumber arrived on time, was courteous, and put covers on his boots when he came in the house. He discussed the repair with me, and made the repairs. I am quite impressed with the company's response.

From the initial phone call, to the final bill presentation of the bill, the(the plumber)was curteous, thorough and professional. I didnt feel like he saw dollar signs when he came to the door and saw a single woman. They(the woman at the office) called 30 minutes prior to arrival, and was there within the time specified. I will be telling everyone I know about this company, and how wonderful they were. The service call alone was nearly HALF of what some other local plumbers are charging .

Kens Plumbing was starting to become more expensive but they were a very professional top-notch business. If they were going to be late they would call you and let you know. They were very considerate and wore those booties whenever they walked around in our home. They were familiar with complicated jobs and they listened to our concerns. We had a problem with the release tank and they came out the next day to replace it.

Ken s Plumbing was here when I was expected them. The worker was a nice guy. He did a good job. I am happy with the new showerhead. It works great. I would recommend Ken s Plumbing to my friends
