Wish I could give zero stars. Would not ever recommend KEE Roofing to anyone. We had hail damage back in 2019 and accepted KEE Roofing’s quote to replace our roof, repair siding damage, etc. The first meeting with the owner went exceptionally well. He went around and found multiple damage sites that we weren’t even aware of. The entire contract ending up including multiple repair issues (which I think was part of the problem – they took on more than they could handle). At the signing of the contract meeting, the owner assured us of their “First In – First Out” policy and we felt comfortable that the work would be done in a timely manner. We could not have been more wrong. The roof was actually replaced in a relatively timely manner, but then all the extra repairs ended up going on and on for over 2 ½ years. The entire process with KEE was a grueling, mentally exhausting process that I hope to never experience again. The majority of their excuses were put on Covid and supply-chain issues – which I do understand could have slowed things down a little, but NOTHING compared to the delays and excuses we received. They were VERY concerned about getting their money BEFORE the work was even started – which was a huge red flag. There were days and days of calls not returned; no one we needed to talk to was ever actually in the office and calls were not returned unless there was a constant “nagging” from us. One of the more upsetting things that happened was when they got so adamant about us paying the invoice (before the work was started, because they knew that our insurance company had paid us), that they got irate with us (raised voices, etc.) – telling us that we were insulting their good name by daring to say we were holding the money (at least part of it) until they at least started the work. They went on to tell us that the insurance money we had been paid was THEIR money, and basically demanded to be paid for work not yet done. My husband went on to tell them that it was in fact, OUR money, OUR insurance company, we have been the ones paying the insurance premiums for years, not them – and that we would pay them once the work began. This was not acceptable to KEE Roofing and eventually they wore us down so much that we just wanted it to be done so bad, so we paid them (close to $10,000) even though the work had never been done. This was our mistake. Over a year went by from that point, and nothing was done (this was well into the year 2022). Excuses were given about family medical emergencies, etc. – which we have compassion for, but honestly, if their company was not run well enough to handle this, they should not have committed to it in the first place, or at least came to us and told us they could not finish the work and we should hire someone else. Instead, just more unreturned phone calls and excuses. This not only cost us mentally/emotionally, but financially as well, as we missed the deadline with our insurance company to complete the claim (even after multiple requests for deadline extensions) and we were unable to receive the depreciation monies for the claim. At one point during the 2 ½ years this went on, I even asked KEE Roofing about this deadline and she assured me that insurance companies never really care about these deadlines and she was POSITIVE that KEE would finish the work in time…..they did not. We eventually demanded that we be released from the contract and that they return the money they had taken from us without ever doing the work. They eventually returned the monies and we hired another contractor to complete the work (B & C Siding Co.) who did an amazing job and in a quick and timely manner. We wish we had never gone to KEE Roofing and warn anyone thinking about hiring them to stay away.
I turned the insurance check over to them which was $17,421.53. This included about $200 of my own money. This was in July of 2020. He said he would get to us in November. When November 11 rolled around, he contacted us and said he would get back to us soon. We didn't hear from them after that so on March 29th, I decided I would cancel the contract and get my money back. I found another roofer and they came out and did the work on April 20th. I called Kee Roofing on April 16th to see where the money was and he said I could not cancel the contract or it would cost me $4000.00 to do so. He then said I said I was perfectly happy to wait until June to get the roof done which was ridiculous. This was an outright lie and nobody would wait a year to get a new roof. I would never hire them again.

The project start date was delayed by over 2 months. The materials for the project was dropped off at the end of our driveway by a loader that was previously used at a new construction. Red clay was left on our driveway before it was cleaned up two weeks later. Three weeks after the project ended, we are still waiting for the repair of a damaged screen door to the porch, a damaged gutter and the third attempt to repair some fascia. If you are particular how your property is maintained during a project and the urgency to clean and repair after the project, this is not a roofing company for you.
