My contact was Brian Gilstrap. He was courteous, punctual and brought several samples for me to choose from. The job was completed when I was told it would be and they cleaned up behind themselves and didn't leave a big mess. I thought I had a potential problem and called Brian. He came out promptly and re-assured me they would take care of any problems if they should arise, and they haven't. The work looks great and I would recommend them to anyone.

They came, gave an estimate, came and removed the old roof off the house and garage, and put a new roof on. They cleaned up after themselves. It looks good, and doesn't seem to leak anymore, which is what we wanted.

I have had leaks from my old roof and Brian Gilstrap and his crew were very attentive to my wishes of making sure I didn't have those problems in the future. The work around the chimney was tricky because of the way the stucco was applied when my house was built. They started work on time and did an excellent clean up job. Brain and his crew were easy to work with, courteous, and professional. The job was done well and I couldn't be happier. I got two estimates on the job and Gilstrap's estimate was four thousand dollars less than the other. Brian asked for no money until the job was completed. I own rental properties and Brian will be the first I call when I need roofing done again.

I called Brian Gilstrap a couple of months ago and he came out and gave me a quote on the work. We had some difficulties and had to postpone the work for a while. When I called him back last week, he said the original estimate was still valid and work could begin in a couple of weeks. Got a call from Brian on Oct. 31 asking if it was okay to start on the roof on Nov. 1 as they had rescheduled some jobs. Workers arrived around 7:45 am and went to work promptly. The guys did not stop for anything, even lunch, and finished the job around 5pm. They cleaned up all the debris used a leaf blower to clean off the roof, the porch and even the gutters. Since we didn't need any decking replaced, the estimate was correct as originally quoted. Can't say enough about how much I appreciate the work.

Max, Brian and John are the best in the business! I have never felt more confident in a contractor. The estimate came in right on budget and the work was completed in one day. Being that i have young children this was a bonus. I judged them on appearance professionalism and years in business. They have been around since 1935 i believe, which goes without saying they know what they are doing. They did an excellent job and I would say to anyone in confidence that this is the company you want to use.

The estimator came on time and was very professional. The estimate was fair and lower than 2 competitors. The workers arrived on time and completed the job in 1 and half days. clean up was very good.

Everything went as scheduled with no problems whatsoever. Excellent clean-up as well. So far no leaks. Very professionel and good communication.

I looked on Angie's List for a metal roofing company. I sent an email with my contact info and never heard from them. It seems they don't want my business.

It went really well. The estimator came out when he said he said. I submitted his estimate to my insurance company and they thought it was reasonable. They did the work in one day and it seemed to be a job well done. I was very satisfied with them!

Estimate visit was on schedule and professional with a complete explanation, also accompanied the insurance adjuster on their inspection several days later. The professionalism made selection of roofer much easier. The shingles were to be delivered the day before, but the supplier did not deliver until midday on the day of installation. The crew arrived before 7:00 ready to go; had old shingles removed by 10:30 waiting on new shingles. Job included stripping and roofing home and a work building and all was completed by 4:30pm same day. The crew was friendly and very effective with each member of the six person crew knowing their job and when to do it. The roof looks very good and with the heavy rain several weeks later, no leaks. Even the Dish antenna reception is still good, they lifted up only one leg at a time to place shingles under. They were slightly higher than the other roofer who gave estimate, but I am very happy with the choice of Gilstrap. Both my property and the home next door were done on the same day. Two crews at the same time, neat. My neighbor on the other side had Gilstrap do their roof several years ago and word of mouth was the main reason for selecting them.

I found Gilstrap roofing professional, reactive, and no nonsense in their approach. My leaks baffled most roofers because they couldn't see anything wrong with the condition of the roof. I had a good conversation on the phone with them before they arrived describing the problem and when they saw the house we had a straight forward discussion on what work needed to be done. No big sales pitch or other fluffy discussion. When I called back to hire them and discuss a date (there was a delay of several weeks due to their backlog of work) the planning was always on track with no additional delays. They arrived the morning they said they would and the job was done early afternoon, clean up and all. The crew appeared experienced. They were careful, detail oriented, cleaned up reasonably well, and the roof looks good. They were responsive to my questions. I do regret hiring them to put the vents in the soffits....my handyman could have done it for half the price, but I did agreed to the quote. My recommendation is that they do good work on the roof, but there is no benefit to hire the roofers to do a woodworking job. While their quote was not the lowest, it was not the highest either. I am happy to pay a fair price for good quality work.

We were extrememly pleased with the courtsey, professionalism, and workmanship of Gilstrap Roofing. They were responsive to our inquiries and provided us with a detailed analysis of what would take place and what the cost would be. They were on time for all of their appointments. The work crew was very careful in protecting our expensive gutters, shrubbery, and lawn. The old shingles and trash was collected and removed. We have had 2 rainy evenings since the roofing and have experienced no problems. We had another company give us a cost estimate and a timeframe for starting and completeing the job. Gilstrap Roofing was nearly $300 cheaper and used a higher grade shingle. We are extremely pleased their work and our purchase.

The guys all seemed pleasant enough. But work was stopped nearing the end by the city because the company. didn't have a permit. Before they came, we had no leaks, but I wanted to go ahead and have the roofing replaced before we started having problems. They added too many air vents along the entire roof. They broke through the roof's wooden structure. I have had leaks upon leaks since they were here. I have called them out here several times to fix these things. Sometimes they fix a leak, but as for the destoyed framing, They said they'd come back. Never happened. They didn't clean up the nails around the house. My husband and I did our best, but we still wound up with a couple of nails in our tires. Will never use them again.

I called to ask if someone could come out and look at my roof and give me an estimate. They told me they would be out in a couple of days. They never showed nor called me back

The estimate was the low of 3, very courteous, we chose the color we wanted. They would roof over or tear off depending what we wanted. Roof looks good, good 1" overhang. The ladders rested against the gutters and gutter covers, it pushed the covers back in a few spots but they came right back the next day and fixed that. The slots cut in the plywood near the peak of the roof for the vents was mostly less than 1" on each side, but will probably work OK. Provided a 2 year warranty from Gilstrap along with the 30 year shingle manufacturer warranty.

We had another company do the majority of plumbing installation in our new home but knew Glen's had great prices on hot water heaters so we went with them. Two men were sent to do the job and arrived promptly at eight in the morning. The installation and the testing of the new system took about two hours. The water heater is extremely efficient and the connection to the water supply is very solid.

They did a fine job on my roof as it looked very nice. They did a good job of cleaning up after themselves and even took a magnet around our entire yard to be sure they got all the nails picked up. I haven't had any flat tires yet so they must have done well. We had one small leak, however they came back and fixed it with no problems.

This was a very good roofing crew and the workers were hard working late into the day. Our new roof looked good and the entire process went, as good as we had hoped it would. Most importantly they used a high quality shingle and it should last a long time under normal conditions.
