Dan came after a slight delay back in September. He installed one door and did the work on the chandelier. His work was fine as far as what he completed. Since one of the doors was the wrong size, he returned that door and ordered a replacement. He promised to install the new door as soon as it came in. He called to arrange a time with me once the door came in in September. He did not show for that appointment. He made a couple other appointments and was a no show. It is now December and I try every other day or so to contact him to return my door so I can have someone else install. All I get now is "mailbox is full". My assumption is he may be out of business and he still has my door. Please avoid this contractor.
Description of Work: The workman was to install two closet doors and shorten the links on a chandelier.

Projects started May 2008 with Bathroom expansion. This took a very long time, about 3 months. This was completed. Other work was dragged out. House rewire was never fully completed even though the contractor was fully paid. Part of house was left without power for 9.5 months due to Kitchen remodel, never being completed. Contractor never showed up until1 or 2 pm when he did show up, and had to be called to see if he was going to show up at all.. The Contractor was FULLY paid for his work as he kept asking for $$$ for numerous reasons. We paid him fully, before the work was complete, and after 9 months kitchen was not complete along with wiring. Mr. Pantiliano abandoned work left to be completed. We were left holding the bag, not only did we pay Mr. Pantilaino FULLY, but now had to try and get funds to complete the work that was left uncompleted. . There were also code violations in bathroom plumbing job which was made known to the contractor, and in the electric work he did. I was without power in 1/3 of my house for 9 months, eating out of dishes and boxes piled in dining room, off of a hot plate. Mr. Pantiliano missed days and days and I was ultimtely left with $5500 of costs out of my pocket to complete, the wiring, the plumbing, carpentry, from kitchen job. Electric panel boxes outside were left with circuit brakers turned off, and wires hanging out of the electric panel boxes. Outlet holes cut in sheetrock, wires left hanging out of these, bad ceiling job in kitchen ceiling had to be redone, tile floor joints misaligned and too wide. Very careless. The Master electrician I had to bring in to get the power completed, while he was in the crawlspace working the wires, found insulation missing. Mr.Pantiliano was fully paid for the insulation to be replaced in the entire Crawl space, but did not complete the job, unknown to me. I took Mr. Pantiliano to court and got a judgement against him for $5,500. I supplied pictures of the terrible plastering, painting, and fit and finsh of the kitchen in magistrate court. Mr. Pantiliano in August 2009 had agreed to finish the work on weekends, as he had other jobs to work, but he just did not show up. No calls from him, my husband and I were tired of chasing him down, day after day, week after week, month after month. It cost me $5,500 to get a licensed plumber, master electrician, and handyman to give me a working kitchen, electric, and water. Sorry to say that it turned out this way. I have not been able to date to recover any funds from the judgement against Mr. Pantiliano. It was a long 9 months going without electric in sections of the house , no kitchen, washing dishes in bathroom sick, boxes on top of one another, cold coming in from the kitchen, and I was going through chemo for reoccurance of pancreatic cancer , this made it even harder. Mr. Pantilaino stated that he could have only given us part time for the $5,000 he charged us for the kitchen. No where was that written in the contract. I feel bad about having to write this, but I was left holding the bag, in the hole thousands of dollars.
