I had a problem replacing the frame in the house and they came out and adjusted it. The location work was not typically included in the replacement window, but they wanted to be sure I the window worked.
Description of Work: They made a replacement insulated glass window and installed it in the existing wooden frame.

Placed a claim with my insurance company. Binswanger called me within 24 hours of claim. I was not given a choice of companies I could use. I was hesitant after seeing the reviews on AL, but went through with it. Everyone was very nice, service tech was on time and was here the amount of time estimated. No issues and at this point and would have to recommend. The $ is just my deductible, not sure of cost.

Description of Work: We took the broken glass shelf so we can get a replacement. The new was off by a 1/4 of an inch and had to return to recut. Went back to pick up and still was not ready and had to wait for it.

Installed windshield on 2012 Infiniti M37X with rain sensor. Installed aftermarket windshield which made the rain sensor not work correctly. After multiple calls and getting Infiniti involved to prove aftermarket windshield was not made to spec a new windshield was finally installed almost 6 months later. I had to constantly call them because they would never follow up. My insurance agent finally had to get involved to make them get off their a** and take care of the problem. Due to my job as a manufacturer rep and traveling many miles a year for 20 years I have gone through many windshields. I have never experienced anything like this before. If your insurance wants you to use Binswanger of Greenville, SC, request someone else to do the installation.

I chose to give my business to this provider because a friend is a representative of the parent company. Work done: replace windshield The appointment was made (in early May 2013) and the service technician came out and replaced my ws at my house and there seemed to be no problem. He was nice and professional. The problem: they did not use original MINI parts and I quickly found that my automatic wipers no longer worked. I contacted the manager and told her that I had the problem. It took at least one additional call to get a proposed solution. They chose to send out a technician to re-replace the ws. An appointment was made and I asked them to call me when the technician was en route to my house. I work near my home. The technician came to my house without calling first and left when I wasn't there. I called him back within 10 minutes and he said he would have to re-schedule. Obviously a major inconvenience. Again, after making two or more calls to the manager, another appointment was made. He did call this time and a new ws was put on. This time, he checked and found the automatic wipers were still not working. I offered to take the car to my MINI mechanic, 50 miles away, and made sure they would pay for any repairs that may need to be done. At that time, I did not ask for my mileage and time off work to be reimbursed. Let me shorten this tale... The mechanic could not clear the software fault, and now I was out $75 dollars. Again, 2 or more calls to the manager, and no workable solution. It was then that I had to move out of state for work. But, the solution proposed by the owner, was to have me drive back to Greenville, more than 220 miles, to have my car examined by BMW/MINI technicians. I did this, but there was never any offer to reimburse my mileage/time. The trip was a loss because the technicians figured out that the ws was not original equipment, but the owner of the business would not accept that diagnosis. He said he would have to think about whether or not he agreed. He insisted that "this sort of thing never happened before". Well, ultimately, over 3 months later, I drove again out of town to another MINI dealer, this time in Atlanta, and finally got the ws replaced with a MINI ws. It worked. I asked the owner to reimburse all of my itemized mileage. I did not ask for any additional money to cover the huge inconvenience of the 3-month ordeal. He wrote back saying they would give me half of what I had asked for because: "I do believe we have gone beyond the call of duty to rectify this assignment." NOTE: This was over 3 months after the initial repair date. I am sorry... but I do not agree at all. They were slow to return calls. The final repair would never have taken place had I not been a "thorn in their side". They never took the initiative to get the job done. I had to stay on them constantly. They were nice over the phone, but in reality, completely lack a sense of customer service and professionalism.

I would say it went average to below average. While I am delighted my glass is replaced and there doesn't appear to be any issues, ie leaks, there are little things that are quite annoying. First, the glass they replaced is two stories up on my home and is quite large. The installers did a fantastic job installing but never took the time to clean the glass of their installation tool marks and their smudge marks. The hallmark of a true professional in my mind. Second, the windows had grids installed in them that had to be removed to replace the glass. They wound up having to come back twice as the result of some damage discovered during the replacement, but the grids have never been replaced. When they returned to finish the job they were not replaced and when they came back a third time, they did not have a ladder to re-install them. To this date, I still have grids in my living room. I will now purchase a $400 ladder to install them myself. Finally, when they installed the the glass in the pain windows, they gasket that holds the window in was installed backwards--meaning they placed the outside on the inside and vice versa. Doesn't seem to be a big deal but the inside is stained and the outside is painted, makes a pretty big difference. All-in-all, I was happy with their work but they just lacked the refinement to make them a world class operation. I think it could be fixed rather easily but I am not sure their management would make the effort to ensure it is done.
Description of Work: I had three very large windows replaced. Also, I had them replace two normal household windows.

we needed the glass replaced in our coffee table and took the measurements there to get new glass made, we were VERY pleased with the customer service and quality of work! it was quick and simple and the lady even suggested the most cost effective way to go about deciding the details on how the glass can be made.
