Description of Work: Lawn: Topdressing of the lawn with 15 tons of river sand, core aeration, and spot thatching as needed.

Description of Work: He cleaned gutters, trimmed trees, removed garbage and trash from yard. He also dug drainage areas for the front and back yard.

Description of Work: Cut grass, weedeat, blow driveway usually every couple of weeks. Bernie has also created flower beds and planted the flowers for those. Bernie always does a wonderful job.

Description of Work: Lawn maintenance on weekly basis. Does more than promised.

Description of Work: Bernie was to top dress with sand and aerate my front and side yards. He came to the house to give me an estimate and discuss the scope of work to be done. He sent me the estimate via email. I asked him when he would be available to do the work and he told me that he could schedule me for the following week. Well that week turned into three weeks and finally I let him know it had to be done by a certain date. He then scheduled the work. He had to have sand delivered and we discussed where it would be best to dump the sand and that If it was not dropped on the lower level that a tarp should be put down due to the gravel driveway I have. It was dropped in a location that did not allow me access to the lower yard were I was attempting to clean up a pile of dirt and an area that I park spare implements. After he finally laid the sand he showed up late in the evening to aerate and smooth the sand. He was late arriving and in doing so did not allow him enough time to properly smooth the top dressing. I paid him because he said he was done, and out of sand. He also stated that he was not happy in the way the lower level of the side yard turn out, but never offered to come back and complete or correct the job he did. A few days later I had an opportunity to inspect the lower level and it was not only not close to what I thought I paid for, but full of rocks from my driveway. They also tore out a low voltage line I had running under where they dropped the sand , they also ran their dingo up the side of a plant bed and caused some damage to it. I let him know and he did offer to come pick up the rocks and told me he would come and pick up the rocks (still stating that he did not like the way it turned out), then yesterday morning (Sat) I get a text message saying he would like to come pick up the rocks from the side yard let him know asap. I was not happy because I thought he had already picked up the rocks in the yard (mind you I wanted my yard top dressed and aerated not covered with rocks and the whole yard top dressed with sand to smooth the yard and help the roots) so I responded never mind I will take care of it and Bernie's response was okay. I also stated in a separate text message that I had thought he had picked up the rocks already I got no response. Bernie and his son are very nice people but as far a he says he specializes in top dressing yards. I would say not soon much a person that specializes in something does not miss the amount of material nor time needed for a project like Bernie did. I hope the best for him but I thought others needed to know so they can make an educated decision. I guess the most frustrating part for me is he knows he didn't do a good job, complete the amount of area we discussed and didn't offer to make it right, other then picking up the rocks. Can you image top dressing with rocks? My lawn mower can't.
