I was getting quotes for an addition to my home. This is a good sized project of over 600 sqft with a full basement and a new roof on the entire house. After an initial conversation during which Jarrod impressed me, nothing else went well. The first problem was that he was unable to view the design that I sent him via e-mail. Three other contractors and dozens of my friends and family where able to view the design but he couldn't figure it out. I immediately responded to his e-mail with further instructions. When I had not heard back from him in several days I sent him another e-mail asking if he had been able to view the design; he did not respond. Over a week later I sent him another e-mail asking how the quote was proceeding; no response! Finally I called him. After all of that time and all of those e-mails that he had not responded to, he told me that he had still not figured out how to view the design. He implied that there was something wrong with the link that I had sent, so I explained that many others had view it without problems. He responded as if he were put-off by competition, asking in an alarmed tone,"How many companies do you have quoting this job!" He seemed to hesitate but then asked me to send him the link again and said that he would get me a quote. After returning from a two day mission to Ft. Jackson, I saw that he had yet to send me anything so I sent him another e-mail. He responded to that e-mail with a refusal to provide a quote. I can not speak to the quality of work that Bartron Builders will provide; all I can do is share how Jarrod treated me when there was no pressure and no money on the line. It is certainly his right to choose what jobs to bid or not bid; my issue is the lack of responsiveness and the poor communication practices. I have had a custom home built for me in the past and let me tell you, good communication from the contractor is critical. Nearly every problem I had during the building of my other house was caused by poor communication from either my builder or between him and his sub-contractors. I wish you wisdom in choosing the right contractor for your project.
Description of Work: What Jarrod did is cause me frustration and waste my time.

I was very pleased with Jarrod's work. It was a fair price, excellent workmanship, and professional people. Its good to have a contractor/builder that I can just leave the house key and trust them.
