American Door Masters emailed me with their phone number and requested I call at my convenience. Called mid morning and setup an appointment between 1 -3pm. He asked if 1pm would be convenient. I told him yes and he was there on time. Immediately saw what the problem was and fixed it quickly. Will not think twice about calling again if needed. I will recommend this business to all my friends and neighbors when appropriate.

Jon was wonderful. I called on a Monday morning at 8 am and he was there by 9 am. Very punctual and professional. Very knowledgable. Provided us with tips on maintenance and inspected the door. Replaced the spring and was done in approximately 45 minutes. Definitely will use them again.

Provider was very professional, on time, explained what he did and how I could keep the door in working order. He explained that he used different springs due to ones installed when home was built were too heavy for door and possibly caused the problem I was having. He was very honest and I will definitely use American Door again if I need their services. I was able to use the $25 coupon on Angie's List for this repair.

We had recently bought the house which was built in 2006 and we had some concerns. Jon was very pleasant to deal with and he answered all my questions about the door. I will definitely call him in the future for any of our garage door needs.

Jon quickly replaced parts and reset skewed garage door. Treated us more than fairly pricewise following unavoidable delay in weekend servicing.

The service was really good. It was covered by my home warranty and I had a $75 deductible to pay. They were punctual and on time. They got it replaced in good time. There were no issues and it was good. It was around the holidays and so had to get that done fast. The car wasn’t in there but if it had been there inside, I would not have been able to go anywhere in my car. The weather wasn’t bad and so I didn’t need to have my car in the garage, but there would be no way to open the door. 17.00 to 17.02. The guy was a little bit late though.

During inital visit Jon outlined options for the new door. Said to keep current door opener as it was fine. Sent quote quickly with options we discussed. Showed up on time. Intall took a little longer than anticipated because only one technician was available today. Everything went great and looks really nice. I used a coupon from Valpak which was a better discount than Angies List coupon. Would highly recommend.

Jon showed up on time a promised and called me when he was within 15-20 minutes of arrival. Removed old opener and properly aligned the new opener with the door. Also, completed the adjustments for door travel and force. He then adjusted the safety electric eyes, (prevents closure obstructions from being impacted from the door closure). Explained all the features and maintenance tips. Very thorough. Would definitely recommend and hire again.

Initial appointment for measurements went well. I was told it would be $900 and a couple of days before they could get the door in stock. Although I received a lower quote to have the door replaced, I went with American Door because I wanted the door replaced quickly, which they said they could do. We set up an appointment for the installation, but they called and rescheduled because they had a funeral to attend. After the door was installed, I noticed that frame seal on the left side of the opening would bend inside the door every time it closes. I think this happened because it wasn't hung straight. I tried to bend it back into shape, but it still gets caught on the garage door when it closes. I called and requested someone come by and fix it, but was told I may have to bend it back into shape. When I explained I expected quality work that I don't have to go back and correct, the representative agreed to send someone out to look at it today. No one ever showed up or contacted me to fix it yet. I feel like companies should stand behind their work and should be willing to fix it when necessary.

I had a door opener that wasn?t working properly, reversing direction as if it was encountering some resistance in its travels. In addition, the door was very heavy to lift manually and, once past half-way up, took off like a rocket. I contacted American Door Masters to see if they could stop by and take a look and Jon (the owner) set up a visit that matched my schedule and availability. On the day of service he called about a half hour in advance of arrival as he had promised and was at the house within just a couple minutes of the promised arrival time. He quickly noted that the installed torsion spring (installed a couple years ago by a different garage door company) was not the proper size for the door and suggested it be replaced. I was in agreement but, after some conversation, I suggested (and he agreed) that we consider going to a ?two spring? system on the two-car sized door. The new springs were quickly and efficiently installed and the door became much more manageable for manual operation. It was much easier to lift and more balanced throughout its travel than it had been previously. Jon then took a look at the installed opener and made some suggestions on how to improve its performance which I have since implemented resulting in much quieter, more reliable operation. In summation, Jon is a very knowledgeable, caring and considerate contractor who has exemplary customer service skills. I would not hesitate for a second to give a hearty recommendation to anyone in need of repair or replacement of any portion of their garage door system. And, aside from everything else, the price for the job was what I considered to be totally reasonable. Thank you, Jon!

One of the springs broke on our garage door over the weekend. We called American Door Masters on Monday morning and spoke to Jon. He agreed to come on Tuesday to fix the spring. He arrived at the agreed upon time. Without being pushy, he suggested replacing both springs for only 50% more than replacing one spring. We decided to take his advice and he replaced both springs. I would certainly use American Door Masters in the future and recommend them to others.

Jon explained to me the options to repair the door. I agreed on his recommendation. He replaced the bracket to the garage door opener, reinforced another section, and adjusted the opener. Great work!

They answered several calls from me with questions about doors and options and once I decided what I wanted, were able to install the new door within a couple of days. They were very professional and stopped back the following morning when our existing door opener needed an adjustment. I would gladly use them again.

Job went fine. The technician (Jon Hahn) explained the problem to me and took the time to explain options. After deciding to go with his recommendation of doing a spring conversion He performed his work in a professional manner. He also showed me the problem with the spring system that was giving me the problem which turned to be a broken spring. In addition, due to not being able to operate my garage door, I was given same day service with a call from Jon that he was on his way. Also I was able to take advantage of a $25 Angie's list coupon for this type of service.

Called ahead of time as they said they would. Showed up on time. Diagnosed problem quickly. Did not have parts to fix with him so he left and returned to office to get parts - then returned same day and repaired. Doors work much better - more quiet, smoother, close all the way.

The tension spring on one of my garage doors broke rendering the door inoperable. Next morning, I looked on Angie's List website for a repairman with the most favorable reviews and this one was at the top of the list. I called about 9 am and Jon, the owner, answered. I told him my problem and he gave me a window between 11 am - 1 pm. Jon and a co-worker arrived at 11:30. They replaced the broken tension spring and two worn cables. After checking the operation of the door he found a sensor in the control unit was defective, also. This prevented normal operation of the remote control and the wall switch, e.g., the door could be opened by momentarily pressing the wall button or the remote button, but to close the door the wall button had to be held depressed until the door closed completely. The remote would not close the door. Due to the age of the motor unit replacement parts were not available. My options were to either replace the motor unit or close the door manually with the wall button. I could still open the door remotely. I said I could live with this for a while longer knowing that eventually I'll have to replace the motor unit. In addition to the repairs, they secured a crack in the door by affixing a brace and didn't charge extra for the service. Also, checked the operation of the other door and lubricated moving parts. I should mention that a $25 Angie's list coupon reduced the total cost to $165! They were prompt, courteous, and, rendered skilled and efficient service. I would definitely use their services in the future.

the bolt that attaches the roller to the track popped off and shot across the garage. The top panel corkscrewed and the windows started breaking!! I needed to get out of the garage the next day for a doctor appt! Called at 9 in the morning and it was fixed by 10:30 and the windows replaced the next day. The corkscrewed panel went back in place when he replaced the bolt to the track. I had visions of a new door and/or new panel...huge relief!!

We had them come out and did a god job. They did it great and quickly. They came out a real time with fashion work done before we knew it. They worked on out last schedule often.

Woke this morning to find garage door wouldn't open. Broken torsion spring. Found American Door Masters well reviewed on Angie's List and gave them a call. Had a technician who lived close by and was on his way out the door just about this time anyway. Stopped by on his way and had the garage door working again almost within the hour. Granted, I was lucky I called when I did and their schedule allowed such a fast response. Problems seem to happen at the most inconvenient times, but this time it worked out well. Technician was cordial and didn't mind a homeowner hanging around while he worked. Price was very fair considering the responsiveness, obvious skill and speed of the tech (Matt), and overall good results. Will definitely recommend them to others.
