My well pump had stopped working and I needed a plumber, so went to Home Advisor (Google) . Very quickly I received a phone call from World Class Plumbing / HomeAdvisor at 9:23 am August 2nd. WCP sent a man and helper within hours of my call. On arrival 1:15 pm they told me that an estimate was free, but to "Go through steps to find out what the job needed would cost $485" but not to worry that price would be subtracted from the end cost of the job. So, "if the job needed a new pump, the pump cost would be less the $485 deposit". After just one hour at my house your men first wanted to be paid in cash, but then charged my credit card $475.79 which included a $48.50 discount because I am retired, plus 9% sales tax $39.29. SOUTH CAROLINA DOES NOT COLLECT SALES TAX ON DEPOSITS OR SERVICES. See attached. The WCP service man said that all this job needed was a new 240 Volt line from my garage circuit beaker to the pump (Just 50 feet). They told me the job would cost $3500.00 The WCP service man arrived at my house in Mt Pleasant at 1.15 pm looked at the job and left my house at 2.15pm. One hour = $475. Please see the attached pictures of how your men left this job review: 1: my circuit breaker box left completely open with all the wiring exposed, 2: Same with the electric box in the well house. Just like all Con's, World Class Plumbing have developed a very smooth system for defrauding your customers (Like me), who have been referred to you by Home Advisor. I am very dissatisfied and I want a complete refund of my $475. I hired a different contractor and he replaced the wire (circuit breaker to pump 50 ') and only charged me $150.
