Repairs by Bart

Description of Work: Bart, as I stated in an earlier report has done work for me for a number of years. He started a deck for me earlier this summer and never finished it. I had to hire another company to come in and finish his job. He had been paid in full as he needed the money and I trusted him to come back. A month later I received a call from him explaining why he did not get back with me. {PERSONAL} So given our history and he needed work I hired him to install new faucets in the master bath vanity. He broke one of the handles and there was a leak he could not fix. I gave him $100.00 and told him to forget it and hired a plumber to install another faucet set. These faucets were from Lowe's and were $239.00. I then let him move on tho the next job on my list which was installing a vinyl fence with solar lights down one side of my front yard. It appeared that it was not going to be straight and we agreed that Bart should do it on the weekend when my husband could help with the line.It was completed and looked great. He then was suppose to return the following week to install a new privacy fence in my back yard along with several other jobs on a list of projects. I did not hear from Bart and called him on Monday 10/9/2011. I was given the run around as was my husband when they spoke. I have tried to call him leaving messages with no return calls. Bart also does work for an investor so the investor takes precedence over anyone else. I fully understand that as that is his bread and butter and people like me are the gravy.So telling me he had to withdraw from my project may have been understood it would have been going against the understanding we had in pace that he would finish the fence and move the arbor before moving on to something else. I have had issues with Bart over the years but always gave him another chance. This particular job set for last week was time sensitive as the neighbor had a survey done and told me to moved my fence back. Bart knew of this and the work also included moving a very large arbor as well as a large 3 tear fountain. As my deadline is approaching and my 2 messages are ignored I have hired someone else to do the job.
