Barney's Home Repairs

I plan to use Barney's again soon to build planter boxes and to also install a kitchen sink.

Found when cleaning dryer ducts, the connection behind the wall was not a proper fitted elbow and had therefore been allowing lint buildup. Barney cut out the wall and installed one the way it should have been done. Barney was professional and the price was reasonable for the work he did and the time it took him. He did not take breaks and was constantly working. He is probably not the least expensive handyman out there but think if you want it done right the first time, he is the one to use! We have another "job list" started for him. Seems he can do about anything and takes pride that it is done correctly. We will continue to use him for anything we need done.

Nathan and a Billy were excellent. They did a lot of stuff when they were here, several small things. They put up handles on the gates in our backyard which were great. This allowed for ease of access in pulling the gates shut. They installed a TV mount in our breakfast room, replaced some very high light bulbs, and they also checked some caulking around our bathtub. That though they said still looked fine. They installed a door bell too. Nathan was just so fast! He kept saying, “Is that all?” They did everything that I had originally asked them to do and even more since they were so fast. He was like a whirlwind, really fast, but great quality too. You could tell he knew what he was doing. We are already working on a new list to have them come back out they were so good.

Barney responded quickly, and arranged an appointment with us in a very short period of time. He was very professional, did exactly what he said he would do, and did it exactly when he said he would do it. I found his fees to be most reasonable. He will definitely be our go to guy in the Charleston area!!!!

I own several rental properties and have been having trouble finding handymen I can trust. I found Barney on Angie's List and I could see was different right away! He called me back immediately and asked detailed questions about what I needed. He showed up on time with his crew and provided a more detailed quote than I was used to. I had him go ahead with the job and he completed it fast, and it looked great! After that I sent him out to clear several maintenance issues I was having with other properties and he completed everything I asked, quick, and provided me with detailed statements the next day. I have been extremely happy with his work and everything he has done so far.

The sink and vanity look great! Barney's always on time and cleans up after the job is finished. He continues to be very dependable and gets the job done.

He has just done a lot of stuffs around here. He has been here 5 or 6 times to fix things. His services are extraordinary. He is always precise, always on time, he cleans up after himself.

Barney was accommodating to my schedule...he and his crew were on time, professional, laid drop clothes to prevent debris from getting on floors and carpet, cleaned up and utilized scrap materials for shelving (I didn't ask him to do that nor did he charge me extra). I am very pleased with Barneys Home Repairs and would gladly refer him!

Everything went fine. He did more than was requested. Work was very satisfactory

(The cost of service above is for two visits) .All went well. I had a large cornice board removed from above double patio doors. The board was removed and I had the holes caulked and painted. I had two curtain rods installed to replace cornice board. I was very pleased with the work, and had them come back a week later to install a light fixture, reapply some wood trim, and more curtain rods. I have a laundry list of other things that need to be done. I am excited to call Barneys back after the holidays for additional work. The guys were prompt and professional. I look forward to working with them again in the near future.

Barney showed up on time and ready to go to work. This was his third time working at our home and we have been very pleased with the work each and every time. On this visit, Barney installed an extra electrical outlet and a dimmer switch. The other work was fairly minor (hanging stuff, adjusting a sticking door, etc.). Barney does such nice work and his bill is reasonable so I had him do all the extra's rather than try to handle myself.

Would highly recommend Barney's Home Repairs! He came by prior to the job to get an idea of scope of work and necessary supplies. Was punctual, professional and the outcome was awesome!

Called Barney's in the morning, they arrived just after noon same-day, as promised. Work was completed, neatly and quickly. Would definitely use them again for handyman work.

Barney knows home repairs! In the past he has replaced a bathroom door, replaced 2 toilet valves, re-enforced kitchen cabinet and drawer, replaced 2 ceiling fans, installed new hoses and checked valves on washing machine, and installed a bathroom fan. He's always punctual, cleans up after repairs, and his prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend him!

Barney did a wonderful job! He came on time. Cleaned up after he was finished. He took great care in protecting the area around the work area. Barney will be my go to guy for all my repairs and upgrades. I like that he explained things and is very personable.

Barney was very punctual. In fact he finished a previous job before expected & contacted me to see if it was alright if he arrived early. It was so nice not to have to work with a "window." He also came prepared to do the job on the spot! Honestly I expected a price quote and then have to schedule the work. The price was great so I was happy to have him ready & available to do the repairs on the spot. He was friendly, prompt & professional.

I live in Virginia and was in Moncks Corner for just 5 days to get my rental home ready for new tenants. I used Angie's List to find a general contractor / handy man service. He was very busy, but realizing my tight schedule, he was able to meet me the day I arrived, and assured me he could get everything done in time for the new renters. I have never had a better experience in 40 years of home ownership. Mr. Willis is very professional, competent, and easy to talk to. I was completely confidant that his estimates were accurate and that he gave me good advice on priority of tasks to be done. He has since worked with the new tenants to take care of some additional minor issues, and I am very grateful to have his service. I have peace of mind knowing he is on-call and will make sure to keep my property in tip-top shape.

Barney matched the paint color to the vinyl siding trim on the house. Cleaned all surfaces before painting. Hoped that one coat of paint would cover, but ended up having to do two coats. Guys arrived on time both days. They removed hardware on the doors each time to paint. Worked fast and were extremely professional. Very pleased with work and price. Will use this service provider again.

Our realtor recommended Barney, and set up our first meeting the day after we purchased our new construction home. Barney and his company installed several ceiling fans, window treatments, a garage door system and a few other jobs. They did excellent work, were professional, and cleaned up when they were finished. They are scheduled to build a fence for us later in July. Barney responds quickly and professionally every time we contact him. We will recommend Barney to all our friends.

Barney is very easy to work with. I had a long list of items that needed attention for an unoccupied property. From cleaning exterior, repairing front door latch/threshold, roof leaks, installing new ceiling fan, wall repairs, diagnosing and fixing electrical switches, screen repairs, replace blinds, repair section of chain link fence, and numerous other interior/exterior tasks. He listened to what was wanted and prepared a detailed invoice of work. Very happy with his work.

He worked on my rental. Barney is efficient, professional, and punctual. He worked quickly and gave me a discount as a first time user. I plan to use his services at my home as soon as possible.

He seems competent, helpful, organized, deliberate. His pricing is not impressive. I think he probably feels like "you get what you pay for." And he's probably right. But there are others out there that would come in with better pricing.
