He is uniquely willing to be flexible, work with the owner and recommend the best way to solve an issue. We have worked together on more than four projects in the last 3 years. He has become a valuable resource as we go about renovating our house.
Description of Work: Redo a rear entrance to the house with new covered entry, add a back porch, add a front porch railing, reconfigure a laundry room, replace a roof, renovate kitchen counter and back splash and relocating outlets, build and install built-in bookcases for library, replace rotted floor joists.

 + -1 moreWe met Calvin. We were impressed with his knowledge and very excited to move forward. While saving up for the garage, deck, and front porch, we asked if he could help with an attic installation so we could see the quality of his work. He said he could. We texted him several times to try to get a quote. Like chasing this man down BEGGING for a quote! He kept saying it was sitting with his office lady or wouldn't respond at all. I have the texts to prove it. It shouldn't be this hard to get a quote. Now we need to identify another contractor, even though we liked him because he doesn't communicate and follow up on what he says he will do. I couldn't imagine giving this man money to hold a project. It would make me very uncomfortable as he is very unreliable, and after giving him money, you may never hear from him again. Very disappointing.

 + -1 moreEXCELLENT craftsmanship. Super high quality work. Very communicative - never ghosted us or left us in the dark. Five stars on all of that!! The only reason I don't give 5 stars overall is the timeline. We were originally quoted 8-10 weeks for our screened porch and it took a lot longer. There were things out of his control that contributed to that, so we understood. And again, he kept us in the loop. He also built us a new shed during that time and that slowed down the progress of the porch as well. We loved Calvin and would be happy to have him do more work for us.
Description of Work: He tore down an existing shed and built a new, better one. He also added a 400sqft screened in porch on the back of our home. It has stamped concrete floors and a bead board ceiling. It's stunning.

Description of Work: He removed a cement wall and removed other walls and moved replaced. He painted, did sheetrock, and did some remodeling. He put in a new door, frame, trim molding, etc.
