A.B.W. Construction

This was a relatively small job, and we weren't in a hurry. It took a couple of months to get us into the queue, then the work was done in small stages over 5-6 weeks, as he used this as "rainy day" work. We are very happy with the outcome. Andrew is very professional and precise. He and his crew were careful working in side the house, using drop cloths everywhere and always completely cleaning up every day. The only minor hitch for me was planning - as I sometimes had 12-18hrs notice that they were coming to work at my house. This was only because it was a small fill in job, but we managed to work around both our schedules. His subcontractors (for gas line and troubleshooting a gas issue at fireplace) were very prompt and courteous, as well.

I originally contacted ABW construction in August 2015. Andrew told me at the time that he would be happy to come give me an estimate but it may be a few months until he would be able to perform the work. I told him I would like an estimate and he told me he would follow up when his schedule opened up. Fast forward to November 2015, Andrew called and said he was able to come give an estimate if I still needed someone. I was still looking for someone and was impressed that he actually followed through. He came gave me a reasonable estimate and we set up a time in December for him to complete the work. He came on the day of the service, on time, with one of his employees. They were both very professional, did great work, and cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend ABW construction to anyone needing projects done. I was very impressed with their service.

Andy was very professional, courteous and punctual. The quality of his work was great. There were no problems with this job.

It went very well from the initial visit to measure the doors and survey the water damage to the installation. Andrew was very professional. He talked about our options and answered our questions. The doors look great and the trim matched our existing trim perfectly. While here he called our attention to a potential gutter problem. This wasn't self serving as he doesn't do gutters.

It went well. The quote and service were prompt and the work was well done.

Andrew started the job when he said he was going to start. We had some issues with weather stalling the project but that was out of his control. Once the weather cooperated he was able to finish the outside work pretty quickly. I did not have one large project but had 7 smaller projects that was tough finding anyone to do one or two of them until I found Andrew on Angies List. Cleanup of the work areas was good. We were in the middle of moving a TV to a wall in our bottom den and Andrew was able to work an outlet into the brick above a fireplace for me as well. So, he's able to accomodate me and help me with this while he was there as well. We are going to redo our downstairs bathroom and will definitely get a quote from Andrew to do this project for us as well. Would recommend for large or small projects.

Andrew personally had oversight on every stage of the remodeling and did much of the work himself. He is a very honest and trustworthy man I felt safe with having in my home even when I was away from time to time. The job was done very well with great attention to detail and I was asked if everything was done to my satisfaction at the end, and of course it was. I will use Andrew for the next project because he is worth the wait.

Andrew's communication on details of work, timing of when he will be at the job and overall professionalism is fantastic. He called several days beforehand to let me know what day he would arriving to complete the work and called an hour ahead of time to let me know he was on his way. He showed up on time and completed all work in quick manner working the entire time not taking breaks or on his phone the whole time...very professional and valued my time. He even took the time to explain details to me so I would understand what he was doing as well as answered questions about other work around my house I was considering doing myself. Best compliment I can give him is that my wife, who has very high standards for contractor work around my house as she was raised in a builder's family, said she was very pleased with his work and overall experience.

Andrew did great work for a great price. He is a very skilled contractor and the job was completed quickly and looks great. Most importantly, he is honest and communicates effectively. I would highly recommend him to friends, family, and strangers alike.

ABW was always on time. When the drywall was removed it became obvious that the damage was more extensive than estimated. Andrew and his team stayed on the job for 3 days. They removed rotted drywall, 2x0s on the proch roof, and Hardi plank and the 2x4's in the corner of the living room as well as some rotted subfloor and hardwood flooring. Everything was repaired and we were kept fully involved in the process as questions arose. the entire ABW Construction team was professional and clearly knew what they were doing. They arrived as scheduled each day and answered all our questions/concerns. We were very pleased w/ the quality of he final job and even our insurance adjuster mentioned the quality of the work.

We kept his number and will call for future needs!

Andrew was quick to respond to our initial request for estimates on our needed repairs. We scheduled the work in two phases, exterior chimney first. We were pleased with the work he did and therefore contracted to do the interior repair work. Andrew tore out the damaged sheetrock, installed new, then finished and painted the wall. He also installed a junction box on our ceiling where a prior fixture had been installed. Andrew did a great job on all of the work. We will definitely use him again in the future.

He was clean, quick, quiet and very professional. The guests to our home have not been able to find out the half wall additions in between the heavily molded columns with all of the moldings he put in. He also added the tiled backsplash when he did the hood such that it looked continuous. He did some minor stuff caulking, installing a bathroom shower with extra pipe work too. We could not have been more satisfied and also recommended him to our other friends.

Andrew did a wonderful job. I couldn't be more pleased. The finished product exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend him-he was professional, punctual -I would used him again for future projects.

Andrew did a great job. Everything was done well and the mess was cleaned up completely when he left. He has a great reputation and is very busy which makes it is hard to schedule future work. His work is worth the wait.

I had some wood rot at my home's front door porch that needed repairing and then was having a porch roof cover built so I wouldn't have this problem again. I had hired a previous contractor that did part of the porch work (incorrectly) and then never returned to correct and finish the job. So I hired ABW Construction to finish this work for me. ABW did an excellent job in correcting the previous contractors mistakes, repairing the wood rot areas, building our porch cover using beautiful 10" columns, wiring and putting up a pretty hanging light from the porch cover ceiling, and trimming out and painting the completed work. He did a great job. It really looks fantastic. In addition to his great work, he was very responsive and a true professional. This was particularly refreshing after having dealt with the first contractor. I highly recommend ABW. I will certainly use them for future projects.

I can't say enough about the quality of Andrew's work in every category. He is very prompt and courteous, very personable and does his work very quickly and efficiently. If you need work done in your home or if you want to build a new home, ABW Construction is the one to employ. Not only is Andrew a highly skilled carpenter, he's also a licensed electrician and plumber as well as a skilled mason. I have great faith in his opinions and recommendations, as well as trust in him as an individual. I can certainly recommend him to everyone who wants high quality, reasonably priced work, either at home or at your business. I will most definitely employ him in the future for and of my requirements.

The first meeting went great

He's outstanding. I wouldn't go anywhere else when I need someone to do some minor construction or stuff like that. He patched and repaired the drywall so well, it looks like the columns never existed. He is a total professional. He will stay with the job until the customer is completely satisfied.

Andrew had another company do some paving work (remove and replace an old patio) and he repaired a deck and a fence and did some electrical repairs. He was prompt, efficient and neat. I would highly recommend.

Andrew provided excellent services and ensured subcontractors were punctual and did high quality work. I was particularly impressed with his ideas and collaboration during the planning phase. Everything turned out very well and brought many complements from family and friends.

This is the second bathroom that Andrew has remodeled for us. Previously built screen porch for us. Very fast, professional, and fair price. Also tiled floor in laundry room. Has also has done other projects for us. We give him a picture or idea and he does a beautiful job. Would not consider using anyone else. Had to wait 2 months, but didn't mind for workmanship that is done. Have previously spent over $15,000 with Andrew so that tells you he is the best and we highly recommend.

The job went very well and we are very pleased with the quality of the work and the results. We would not hesitate to hire Andrew again for any project or recommend him to anyone needing an excellent contractor.

Excellent. I give Andrew all top scores. He is very professional, courteous, and really knows his trade. It was nice to have such a competent and reliable person to do the work. He had the whole job done in a short period of time. I was also thrilled at the clean up he did. I didn't have to do a thing. I will definitely look to ABW Construction should I have further work to be done.

I received quotes from 4 companies all of them came out for interviews and to see the scope of the job. ABW Construction was not the most expense nor the least. I found Andrew to be professional and reasonable. He could not begin the work for 2 months which I did not like because I wanted to start sooner. After narrowing down to ABW and another company, I decided to wait the 2 months for ABW. He completed the work and I was very satisfied with the results and quality of the work. He worked with me so that I did some of the finish work myself. This was the job to repair the chimney leak and repair damages caused by the leak. Because of his workmanship, I hired him to repair a second leak in the front entry. This involved replacing a large section in the front of the house, flashing and repairing inside the front entry.
