Description of Work: I have had Andrew Woodford of ABW Construction do work in my home several times. In my opinion, he is the very best. He's quick, charges reasonable prices, and the quality of his work is excellent. You may have to wait to obtain his services, but believe me it is time well spent. If you want the best, call ABW Construction.

Description of Work: ABW Construction was unable to perform the service needed (booked for 2+ months), which was a kitchen light installation and installation of a mount for the light on a cathedral ceiling (so the light would be level to ground), BUT they were able to put me in contact with someone who could. Their quick responsiveness and help in the matter were greatly appreciated.

 + 2 moreWe live in a log cabin. The original shower unit split and leaked around the drain causing the floor underneath to be saturated and weakened. Andrew returned my husband's call immediately and arranged to give an estimate the same day. He arrived at the designated time, and after giving a detailed evaluation, discussion, and estimate, my husband asked him to return and complete the work. The next morning Andrew arrived exactly on time and began work immediately. He worked non-stop and with great energy until the first phase of the project was completed, including replacing the floor under the shower and installing new water lines. He returned the next morning and finished the installation of the shower unit, including new wood trim. Andrew left the work area clean and neat after each work session. He was pleasant and efficient. Note: We purchased the shower unit before hiring Andrew, so it was not included in the amount we paid him. Andrew purchased the new hardware and trim which was included in his pay. We are now making a list of other projects for which we plan to call Andrew.
Description of Work: Andrew cut out and replaced the water-damaged floor under our shower unit, replaced the water pipes and hardware, installed the new pre-fabricated shower, and put new wood trim around the entire unit. We live in a log cabin, and Andrew did a better and more complete job of final trimming than the original builder. Andrew had to work in the bathroom area and under the house while completing this work. NOTE: We had Andrew come back out to complete a list of minor repairs we had. He, again, was true to the schedule he gave us. He did excellent work--re-caulked a shower, stabilized window seals, worked the storm door to make it seal completely, stabilized warping boards on porch, and caulked log seams where they were separating due to temperature shifts. Price very reasonable. We plan to have him back in the spring for a couple of larger projects.

 + 12 moreWe were very impressed with the services provided by A.B.W. Construction. We can't say enough about the great job Andrew did. He was professional, honest, hard working, meticulous, and the quality of his work was outstanding. More than that, he loves what he does, and was cheerful and willing to work with us on changes to Plan A. He worked within our budget and gave detailed estimates ahead of time. The project will end up costing around $12,000, taking a couple weeks to complete. The total cost including labor was far less than other estimates we had received. We have other major projects waiting, including a kitchen renovation, and it is a relief to know a reliable, likeable, and honest person will be available when we need him.
Description of Work: We had an upstairs renovation of a bathroom that involved building a shed dormer and completely tearing out everything down to the studs of our old bathroom. Andrew did the entire job himself which included everything from structural work and roofing, to plumbing, electrical wiring, tiling, carpentry, installing a jacuzzi tub, building a shower stall, etc. I liked working with one person and not having a whole team of construction workers I didn't know traipsing through the house.
